| Umbro turned around one last time to look at the city he had grown up in. It had been hard living there, but he will still miss it, but now he had an important goal, to become a great trainer like his grandfather.
He turned south and headed towards Route 34, as his grandfather had done. He was headed toward Azlea Gym. His grandfather had challenged Azlea Gym first because it was Bug Type, weak to his Magby's fire type.
He walked along the route looking for a wild Pokemon on trainer to battle before noticing something quite close. |

| Umbro saw the Pokeball, "hey whats that?" he said aloud and moved towards it going to pick up. He now had a sudden feeling that he was about to be attacked and clutched Cyndaquil's Pokeball with one hand as he went to grab the ball with the other. |

| When the trainer would pick up the ball, a small wurmple would be hanging from it, holding on for dear life |

| As Umbro picked up the Ball, he immediately noticed the Wurmple and dropped the Ball in surprise, while throwing out Cyndaquil's Pokeball and with a flash of red light, Cyndaquil appeared, hungry to fight something. |

| The wurmple looked at at the pokemon that was looking at it, and it screeched. It popped the small button of the pokeball, and it ended up opening it as opposed to trying to get itself captured. However, it just kept opening, and eventually it revealed there was nothing inside, but a note. |

| Umbro walked towards the note and picked it up and began reading it, perplexed as to why anyone would hide a note in a Pokeball. Cyndaquil just kept staring at Wurmple, hoping for an order to attack it. |

| The wurmple took its chance. It seemed that the trainer was too occupied with the note, and it scurried away into bushes before it dug itself into the ground, hoping to avoid an attack. Meanwhile, the note seemed to talk about a battle competition, and a challenger there that was a bit strange as opposed to regular trainers. |

| Umbro sigher, "Thats got nothing to do with me, its probably meant for someone else," he said to himself before placing the note back in the empty Pokeball and threw it back in the bushes. "Come on Cyndaquil lets go to Ilex Forest," he said, walking south with Cyndaquil besides him, on the lookout for something interesting. |

| A rustle in a bush nearby seemed to signal something's attention. There was also a small screech from afar, meaning that a pokemon could be nearby that way. And then there was a bit of chatting and laughter coming from another direction. |

| Cyndaquil rushed towards the rustling bushes without instructions from Umbro. Umbro clutched Cyndaquil's Pokeball, ready to return him to it if anything bad happened. |

| A pokemon came rolling form the bushes when the pokemon had rushed into it. The pokemon was a treecko, and it shook its head when it stood up, looking at the trainer and his pokemon curiously |

| (Im loving all these hoenn pokemon in johto XD) Cyndaquil readied its Ember attack, flame almost bursting out the mouth, but Umbro knew it wouldnt attack until ordered. "Oh whatever attack," said Umbro and Cyndaquil exhaled, spitting embers at the Treecko. |

[Yup, that's why it has five hits instead of six [11 / 2 = 5.5 --> 6]] |

| (Shouldnt a supereffective move be two hits though?) Cyndaquil, noticing the Treecko wasnt doing anything, looked around confused, which was how Umbro felt as well but decided to keep going, "Cyndaquil use Ember again," Cyndaquil all to happily opened his mouth and released more Embers at Treecko. |

| [The move could be super effective, or it could deal regular damage. You have to consider that just because you have the type advantage doesn't mean that 100% of the time it isn't going to super-effect the pokemon, though the chances are significantly greater due to the advantage]
Treecko - Male - Lvl 11 - 3 hits
The treecko took the attack, and it wasn't necessarily wanting it. It turned its head, looking at the pokemon that had just attacked it and rushed towards it, prepared to make a swipe. Sure, it wasn't necessarily an official attack, but it just wanted to show its frustration. |

| (Fair enough, is there a place where all these rules are located because I couldnt find them)
Cyndaquil was hit by the swipe but since it wasnt an official attack and was thrown with little technique and as such did little damage. Cyndaquil took advantage of the fact that Treecko was close and quickly released more Embers. |

[The rules should be findable in a forum near the vvery top under the chatbox: http://www.pokemonworldrpg.com/f2-rules-and-information ]
Being really close, the treecko took the damage. It went in quick, hoping to counter with a pound. |

| (Yeah i looked there and couldnt find it)
Cyndaquil took the attack and this time was significantly damaged by it, but Cyndaquil's fighting spirit was still there and went to launch another Ember. "Cyndaquil stop," shouted Umbro before throwing out a Pokeball straight and the injured Treecko, hoping to catch it. |

| Treecko - Male - Lvl 11 - 1 hits
The treecko was absorbed in a light, being pulled into the pokeball and it rocking a couple of times. It stopped for a moment before the pokemon started struggling, not wanting to be captured by the trainer as the ball rolled about a bit. |

| (So what it didnt get caught or escape?) "Thats odd it should have clicked by now," said Umbro, returning Cyndaquil back to his Pokeball and walking over to retrieve the Pokeball, assuming it had probably been caught. |
