Battle Style: It's the sum of a lot of things. One, Love: he loves his pokemon and they love him, they would sacrifice for him. Two, Respect: he respect the enemies, but pretends respect too. Three, Tenacity: never give in, fight to the death, "better die" his grand-father says. Four, Patience: the winner isn't who knocks the first pokemon, but who knocks all the enemies. Five, Loyalty: don't win cheating, you'll pay. Six, Pride: "We are the best! We cannot lose". Seven, Determination: always get what you want. Eight, Capability: if you are not a good trainer, you cannot win, only the best will win, and he's one. Nine, Strategy: Never fight umprepared, always fight with mind before strenght. Ten, improvisation: if something goes wrong, he find the way to win in any case.

Personality: He acts like someone with the ten features, he's coerent with those in any case. He acts however like a winner, he is convinced he will win and he defeat all the enemies, or at least till now. He doesn't like to lose. In these cases, he wants the revenge, right after he has lost, to demonstrate that he never loses. Love and strenght, he has gotten the balance between them, so that he can give to his pokemon both the love they need to have faith on him and the tenacity he has. He likes to play, but balancedly. Even when he's playing he's teaching something.
History: Edgar's surname, Brutus, come from the first name of one of his ancestors. 5 Generation before Edgar's, including his, was that of Brutus. He was the first Pokemon trainer of the family. He became the champion and defeated his worst enemy, Debo, diminutive of the Di Bona trainer. From then on, it was always "open war" between the two families. The second and third generation luck was of the Di Bonas, even if Gabriel's grandfather didn't became champion. But the brute strenght is always in the Brutus' family blood. In fact Edgar's father, that is the fourth generation, became the new champion and humiliated Gabriel's father. All best Brutus features are in Edgar and he knows that this time too will be Gabriel's defeat and Edgar will be able to get the throne that belongs to his family.
A treaty has always been between the two families: right outside the Pokemon League the members of the two families have to fight. Only the winner can go in and try to become the new Champion. If he loses, he has to give up.
A Brutus feature is that of having pokemon which, alone, can win the game. That is, using only one pokemon a Brutus can win all the battles: of course they choose their pokemon with accuracy and they train them very well, being a good move tutor. The family move, that originates from his grand father special Psychic abilities(Brutus the first had Mewtwo!!!); then we can say that Psychic is the type that suits a Brutus.

Considering the creation date of your previous character, I would not recommend starting with three starters, as opposed to one or two. As well, if you lowered hte levels, I might approve it with the pokemon.
