Zach and The Z-Force

Zach: Ferdinand, maybe you should just give on this one-

If only Zach knew a Piplup's natural nature: His will is stronger than his strength. Ferdinand dodged each rock despite being weak, and went up and pecked the onix straight on.

Onix wasn't going to take the attack without dealing damage of it's own, using rage as te pokemon came after it to peck it.

Zach: Ferdinand, don't stress yourself anymore. You've done well. Take a rest.

Zach recalled his Piplup and sent out Neo the Shinx.

Neo: Shinx! Shinx!

Zach: Alright, last round!

"This is becoming a bit difficult," Roark thought to himself. He had to step up his game, but he knew that his last pokemon only had a couple of attacks. Truthfully, his onix was the one with the most attack moves, but he would just have to think of another way to battle with less attacks. "Alright, last one," he said to Zach, tossing th epokeball out and letting his final pokemon, geodude, out.

Zach: My shinx is already out.

Neo: Shinx!

Zach: Why don't you go first?

"I think you should, since you are the one challenging," Roark said to Zach.

Zach: Alright Neo, use tackle!

Neo went up to tackle the Geodude.

"Dodge and counter with tackle," Roark bursted out saying after the attack was called. This was when the pokemon was close, and his pokemon followed order getting aside fast to dodge the incoming attack, then rushing after the opponent to do some damage.

Zach: Dodge it!

Neo jumped out of the way of Geodude's tackle.

Zach: Use thunder!

Neo unleashed his Thunder attack on the Geodude.

Geodude took the hit, but it wasn't exactly happy about it either. "That's alright. Just use rock throw," Roark said, and the pokemon knocked some rocks into the air, tossing them fast towards the pokemon. Judging by the wide range of rocks there were, and how small the cracks inbetween them were, the pokemon would have a really hard time attempting a dodge. All of this courtesy of Roark's pokemon.

Neo got hit by the rocks. Not too effective.

Zach: Tackle attack, Shinx!

Neo sped past the remaining, smaller rocks and did a jump attack-tackle on the Geodude.

Roark wasn't about to give up and let the pokemon get attacked again. "Geodude, counter with rock throw!" Geodude launched a few more rocks towards the pokemon, hoping that it would get stopped in its tracks having used the same tactic as before, multiple rocks with little space to squeeze inbetween.

[[Kinda curious, if there isn't a type weakness, how are slightly more than half of these attacks not doing as much damage as a regular hit? If there isn't a type weakness, I am more curious to this. I know that you have let a few attacks do regular damage, but it's really looping in my head that either dodging or two to one attacks don't do much damage [though if a type weakness exists, this could be the case]]]

Zach came up with a better strategy.

Zach: Time to test the law of physics. If Neo can't go in between those rocks, then he sure can go over! Neo, jump on top of those rocks and climb towards Geodude!

Neo used his fast reflexes to jump onto the incoming rocks, and jumped ahead to each, gradually getting higher (like Frogger). Whenever a rock flew towards Neo, he jumped on top of it, and then jumped onto another flying rock farther away. And then, he would jump on top of one higher in the air. So in other words, every rock he jumped on made him closer to the ceiling and Geodude.

Zach: Alright Neo, Thunder!

When Neo was at a good point, he jumped off the rock into the air, and unleashed another Thunder attack on Geodude.

Roark wasn't thinking that the battle was going to turn out very well at this point. He still had confidence, however, because he knew that Zach's pokemon couldn't continue dodging without taking a few hits, like any other trainer did. "Alright geodude, defence curl then tackle," he called, the geodude doing as told. After the geodude had raised its defence, it ran [however it does] fast towards the pokemon that it was fighting prepared to slam it hard.

Zach: I will NOT lose this! Neo, use Thunder!

Neo gave another Thunder attack at Geodude.

"Take the hit with defence," Roark called, and his pokemon held its arms in front of its head. It took the hit, but it wasn't enough to really cause any damage. "Counter with tackle," Roark called, adn the pokemon did as told

Neo got hit with Tackle.

Zach: Counter with your own tackle!

Neo lept and hit Geodude with Tackle.

Roark looked at zach's pokemon. 'rock throw!' He knew his pokemon was quick, and it threw a rock in the middle of its tackle, hoping it'd hit the pokemon

Neo got hit with Rock throw.

Zach: Thunder, one more time.

Neo gave another shot with Thunder.

Geodude took the strike of thunder, and if t had had fur, it would have probably been standing. 'Quite the shock zach,' Roark said. 'Geodude, counter with rock throw and try tackle!' The pokemon ran at the opponent after launching a rock at it, and it hit the rock with the tackle blasting the large rock into shards that flew towards the opponent

Zach: Counter with Tackle!

Neo dodged the incoming rock and charged at Geodude with a Tackle attack.

Roark looked at the geodude take the tackle, though it did have an idea. It had picked up a large rock, and it chugged it at the opponent immediately after it had tackled.

The attack was good enough to get Neo to faint. Zach sighed, and recalled his shins.

Zach: Good job Neo.

He sent out his Next Pokemon: Bien the Starly.

Zach: Okay Starly, use tackle!

The bird went straight into the Geodude in a state of tackle.
