Emil isn't really well adapted to modern pokemon battles. He finds ways in bringing out his pokemon' good points and using them to their fullest.

Looks
Emil is timid looking boy who stands 169 centimeters tall and weights 60 kilograms with a rather slender body build. He has blond, messy hair reaching down to his shoulders and covering most of his forehead, one bang reaching even future down between his eyes. He has some hair sticking up from the middle of his head, because his hair is hard to manage he simply lets it stay there, calling it his Charm Point. Emil has beautiful emerald eyes. Starting from top with his clothing he has a black scarf with a symbol of Cameran Knights on it. Covering his upper body he has a flexible blue shirt with dark blue outlining. Since it doesn't really have sleeves a dark blue belt running from middle of his torso holds it up. The same belt also holds up his portable leather bag and his sheathed longsword. He wears fingerless long gloves to protect his arms and hands from minor scratches tree branches and rocks might make. Moving below he wears pants with yellow two yellow lines running over them, one vertical, one horizontal. He also wears strong and very durable boots.


Personality
Emil is really enthusiastic and talented boy. Emil is really hard working and it has always been his motivation to be the strongest. He doesn't have such goal for glory or money, he just wants to be the strongest and fill his duties perfectly. Emil is really friendly and polite boy. There ain't a single person he doesn't say hello to. Young knight respects ladies and whenever seeing one having difficulties he rushes to help. He would never hurt a lady. Emil really enjoys spending time in the nature with pokemon. Young boy loves fruits and sweeter vegetables. The knight often enjoys simply laying on his back, watching into sky and simply thinking about different things such as how the world works or what to eat. Emil is really studious and enjoys reading books. He likes philosophy really much and adores listening to older people yap on and on about their thoughts. The Knight is really good companion to travel long distances as he as quite a huge baggage of different stories. He is really easy to talk with.

Being crowned a knight at the age of 16 is quite a feat. Emil only managed that thanks to his extremely hard work, good teachers and of course some talent. Emil's body is trained to be agile and endure traveling long distances or surviving long battles. He specializes in fighting several opponents at once with his sword. Because his main job was protecting the princess he keeps his eyes on every possible threat and every sudden movement. He is really aware of his surroundings. Emil is also very skilled Aura user. He was training directly under Sir Aaron and his Lucario for several years. It is no problem to use his aura to predict movements, create shields or other materialized objects. Even teleporting short distances isn't humongous feat for him. He knows some really strong but dangerous aura healing techniques which he would be willing to use to save someone he cared about. Emil isn't all about fighting though. He is really good cook, violin player, and a really good dancer.

History
Emil was born in Cameran about 1000 years ago. It was a beautiful place, people were happy, cheerful and there was greenery everywhere. Emil was the son of Lancelot "Escudo" Castagnier and Irelia Castagnier. All men of Castagnier family had been knights serving the royal family. Emil didn't have any bigger plans and thus started training at a very young age. He was mostly trained by his big who already was a knight. He oftentimes got special lessons from Escudo, his grandfather who was retired knight and one of king's most trusted friends. Emil oftentimes went on journeys with his grandfather and also followed him whenever he went into Palace. Emil befriended the youngest Princess Elaine who had been the same age as the boy. They became really great friends and whenever they had time both of them played together. Whenever Emil didn't do something the Princess wanted she would start teasing the boy, calling him Sir Emil in a sarcastic way and asking him if the knight didn't have enough courage. Elaine was able to control the boy really easily that way.

As the time passed they started seeing each other less often. Both of them had duties to fulfill, for Emil they were mostly training, training, more training. The boy really enjoyed training though, specially his aura training. Emil was trainer by Sir Aaron, a famous Aura Guardian, and his Lucario. They often told young boy stories from distant lands which quickly made Sir Aaron Emil's favorite teacher. The boy showed great promise and thus received little special treatment from other knights. They would give him tips, tell him stories and help him with things he couldn't manage by himself. Emil worked really hard and by the age of 16 it had finally payed off. He became a full fledged knight, joining The Knight of Cameran. It was then when Sir Aaron told him that he had nothing left to teach him and that he should start discovering ways to use aura by himself. He also gave Emil a present for becoming a knight and working so hard on his aura abilities, Aaron gave him an egg of Riolu.

After becoming a knight Emil and Princess Elaine started seeing each other again. Emil's work often brought him to Royal Palace and he saw Elaine around pretty often. Over the course of few months the two actually took a liking into each other in a romantic way. That all ended with a special event though. Emil's Riolu finally hatched from the egg. The boy got him a matching scarf and then decided to show him around the Kingdom but during their travels they ran into a really strange pokemon. A small, green one. Emil liked the little one a lot and followed it. He chased the little one around with his Riolu for hours when suddenly everything went blank . . . When he finally woke up he discovered himself in an area where everything had completely changed . . . He had woken up 1 000 years into future.
