Chapter 1: Bruce Has Gone Loose

Bruce Mathers begins his journey with a mood that is very usual - arrogant, confident, self-centered and a voice somewhere in his mind that says "I can defeat anyone." Walking alongside him is his partner Treecko, who has adapted Bruce's personality but still has his soft side somewhere within his heart. "They should just let up now, never gonna work out. I'm the Game Changer with this, there's no doubt. They take their best shot, but it will all be over. I'm here to show the whole world." he boasted.

The people who heard him looked at him respectfully but with a slight disgust as always. The people know he's arrogant and rough and tough, but they have to give him respect since he really is good. There was a time someone got annoyed and called him a show-off, but Bruce replied, "It's not showing-off, if you back it up."

A boy with a huge ego and a Pokemon that fights barbaric. What could happen in this journey? You are going to find out because a wild Pokemon/Trainer challenges them.

A Squirtle popped out from behind a tree, looking malicious. It's tail twitched as it looked around. It spied Bruce and Treecko and waggled a finger, it's tail now twitching more out of excitement than of anger.

Bruce has noticed the wild Squirtle. "A Squirtle is on the top of my Water type list." he thought smiling at the Tiny Turtle Pokemon. Treecko stood still waiting for a command. The Game Changer extended his right arm and pointed at the Pokemon with his index finger and signaled it to come towards him. "According to a book I read, it's better to let a wild Pokemon come at you than walk towards it. It's either it runs away or attacks you suddenly." he remembered. "Come here, we're not gonna hurt you. If we wanted to, we would."

(o.O It is...)

Squirtle looked puzzled at the human gesture, releasing a couple of bubbles from it's mouth. It wanted a battle, not a conversation with a human. It took on a hardy face and rushed at Treecko, using Tackle.

OMG. I love you! ^_^

Treecko not at any time lets his guard down and trusts a stranger. He quickly hopped up dodging the Bubbles and towards Squirtle avoiding the Tackle as the two exchanged positions. "If it's a fight, you want, you got it. Drain Mr. Shelly."

Treecko holds out his arms and fires two red beams from them at the opponent. Should the opponent get hit, its body glows red and Treecko drains its energy. Treecko used Absorb!

(The bubbles were not an attack btw...)

Squirtle was not expecting any resistant and the surprisingly strong attack caught it off guard. It eyed Treecko warily. How could such a small pokemon be so strong? It popped inside it's shell, raising defense by using Withdraw.

Yes, I know. I used it for theatrics so the fight starts awesomely.

"Repeat." said a smiling Bruce.

Treecko holds out his arms and fires two red beams from them at the opponent. Should the opponent get hit, its body glows red and Treecko drains its energy. Treecko used Absorb!

Squirtle was forced to do a stupid kind of twirl to avoid the attack. It glared at Treecko angrily then drew back a fist, sparking with white energy. Within second, a full fledged Ice Punch (EM) was under way. It swung the Ice Punch at Treecko, looking to seriously damage the Grass type.

The difference between games' system and RP's system. Y'know what I'm saying? :D

Treecko never lets his guard down and gets too confident that he underestimates his opponents sometimes. The speed allowed Squirtle to have a pleasurable comeback. It did an excellent amount of damage, but it only angered Treecko. "Let's finish this shall we? But not literally."

The Absorb contacted and left Squirtle pretty weak. Crouching on his knees and hands, quivering just a bit, it looked up with a hateful glare at Treecko. A bluish aura surrounded it as it sprang up and used Water Gun, pushing an icy fist into the water and forming a freezing cold jet of water.Squirtle's Torrent is activated!(Which makes his Water Gun stronger.)

Treecko gets hit in the face and is taken off his feet. A critical hit. Bruce estimates that his Grass buddy will go down in just two more powerful offense from the foe. Bruce takes a miniature Pokeball from his pocket and clicks the button enlarging it not understanding how it can shrink though. He throws the ball on the weak Tiny Turtle's face on an attempt to capture him!

The ball shakes once...twice...thrice...nearly...Caught! Congratulations! You caught a Squirtle! Would you like to name it?

"Mission accomplished." said Bruce walking towards the Pokeball and picking it up. He presses the button on the middle and returns on its miniature size. Bruce returns the Pokeball back to his bag and takes a notepad and a ballpen out.

He crosses out Squirtle/Mudkip. The notepad contains the Pokémon he is searching for. Treecko crosses his arms, raises an eyebrow and grins for a job well done. "That roughed you up, weakling." said Bruce. Treecko appreciates insults after a fight, praise him and he'll get mad at you. Bruce doesn't know how.

Getting back to the routes after healing his Pokémon from the Pokémon Center, Bruce decides to move on to the next town.
