A New Town!

The female Absol was completely focused on the bird, seeming to forget about the other Absol altogether. She ran a few steps, whipping her blade with another Razor Wind. However, right as the attack was released she felt the hit from behind her. Her eyes widened, head turning slowly to see Cladis' horn pressed into her. She coughed, stumbling back a few feet. It's super effective!!!

Wolf placed his hand on Ava's shoulder, indicating it was time to call off her attack. "The Absol is weakened now," he said as he pulled out his Dusk Ball. "Dusk ball, go!" the man called, hurling the dark green ball at the shiny Absol. She was pelted by it, being drawn into it before it fell back to the ground. It lit up, rocking as the Pokémon inside struggled trying to break free. However, with the Dusk Ball's bonus, and Ava having weakened the creature for him, Wolf was able to capture it! "I thank you, Ava. Please, allow me to escort you back to the Pokémon center so that our partners may rest."

"I'm glad I could help," Ava told Wolf, "But first," she let out a long whistle, and Manu appeared from behind a stalagmite, and joined Cladis and Cicatrix. Ava observed her Pokemon with pride. "You all did good, and you can take a rest," she said, sending all of them back into their Pokeballs, then she stepped toward the entrance of the cave, and headed back to town with Wolf alongside her.

All of the Pokemon seemed to gain a bit of experience from the battle, Manu even seeming to have leveled up. Wolf led Ava back to the Pokemon Center, carrying his beloved Umbreon there. He set Midnight and the pokeball on the counter, Joy immediately taking them to the back to be healed. He turned to Ava, "You did well, and one day you will be a great trainer. Many will know your name. Here, I'd like for you to take this...as payment," he said, handing over a small pouch. Inside were three candies...Rare Candies! "It's the least I can do," he said, taking his Pokemon back when Joy returned. Midnight looked much better, and he clipped the dusk ball to his waist, leaving the center to return to his villiage.

Ava waved heartily to the man as he left the Pokemon Center, then handed her Pokemon, now residing in their Pokeballs, to a nurse. After a few moments, her Pokemon were treated and ready to go. "Thank you," she said to the nurse, then she headed toward the exit. Once outside, she headed towards the outskirts of town to train, and found a small outcrop of trees, perfect for a battle setting.

She sent out all her Pokemon, and they crowded around her, curious as to what will happen next. "It's time for some training, Manu, it's you against Ignire. Cladis, you fight Cicatrix. Remember you're training, you should give it your all, but I don't want any of you seriously hurting one another." They all nodded, then turned towards their opponent, sizing them up, and calculating how they will proceed.

Begin Training Session

A deep growl sounded through Cladis's throat as he stared coldly at Cicatrix. Instead of phasing the Pidgey, this seemed to make him even more determined, and he let out a sort of snarling sound Ava thought was impossible for a bird of any kind to make. He puffed out his feathers, and spread his wings, making him look twice as large as what he actually was. Cladis's muscles suddenly tensed, and he launched himself at Cicatrix, and he swiped his claws at him, attempting Scratch. Without a moment's hesitation, Cicatrix launched himself into the air away from the opposing attack, whipping up a cloud of sand in the process. Unprepared for this tactic, Cladis became blinded. Cicatrix took the opportunity, and dived at Cladis with a tackle, hitting him before quickly flying back into the air again. Cladis seemed to regain his senses as Cicatrix flew back up, because he formed a blazing flame in his mouth, and shot it at the Pidgey with deadly precision. Cicatrix let out a startled cry as the attack hit, and faltered, making him fall slightly out of the air, and giving Cladis the opportunity to rush at him, using Megahorn. Cicatrix tried desperately to dodge, but with the damage from the previous attack, was only able to partially lessen the damage. With one last burst of strength, Cicatrix gave a small wing beat into the air, and tried to use Tackle on Cladis. The weak, and for the most part slow, attack was simple to dodge, and with a triumphant bark, Cladis pinned the extremely weak Cicatrix to the ground, winning the fight.

The fight between Manu and Ignire seemed to be less intense, and more graceful than the fight between the other two. Instead of greeting each other with intimidation and threats, they seemed to treat it more as a game than a fight, but still took it just as seriously. The two Pokemon stared each other down for a few moments, before Manu made the first move, and rushed at Ignire, and whipping up a large cloud of dust. Ignire seemed to foresee this trick, however, and with a sly smile, tripped Manu right into the dust cloud, making her own attack rebound, and effect the Aipom instead of Ignire. Blinded, Manu stumbled, allowing Ignire to use Tackle several times before she finally recovered, and retaliated, using Scratch, and damaging Ignire. They both jumped away from each other before any other attack could hit, then their stare down continued. Minutes passed, and both Pokemon were looking into the eyes of the other, daring them to make a move. This time, it was Ignire who made a move, rushing a Tackle at Manu, who easily dodged and raked her claws across the Cyndaquil before he could slow down, causing him to stagger, and collapse from damage. Manu jumped over to Ignire, and helped him back up, signifying the end of their fight.

End Training Session

"Great job you guys!" Ava told her worn out Pokemon, returning each of them to their Pokeballs. "Looks like it's back to the Pokemon Center," she said, heading back into to town, and feeling accomplished from the day's events.

Cladis gained 12 EXP! Cladis leveled up to level 11!
Cicatrix gained 12 EXP! Cicatrix is level 8!
Manu gained 12 EXP! Manu is level 7!
Ignire gained 13 EXP! Ignire is level 7! Ignire learned SmokeScreen!

Once her Pokemon were fully healed, Ava gladly let them out of their Pokeballs. They had worked hard, and with the sudden appearance of Summer heat, she decided that they all could use a break. With that said, she let all of them go their own path. Manu seemed to wander in the direction that lead out into a crop of trees outside of town, while Cicatrix immediately flew into the air, and disappeared into the clouds. Ignire seemed to not know where to go, and after moments of hesitation, ran after Manu, heading out of town. Cladis, like always, stayed by Ava's side.

"You never want to have fun, do you?" she asked him affectionately, petting his head. With a confused, and slightly tired expression on her face, Ava now looked for something to do, but was interrupted by a huge yawn that overtook her. "I guess it's nap time for me," she said, yawning again, and looking for a good place to rest. Cladis radiated a sense of drowsiness as well, and without hesitation, headed for a tree near the edge of the town.

Upon reaching it, both Ava and Cladis slumped down instantly, almost as if they were thinking as one. But before either of them could doze off completely, something caught Cladis's attention. Hidden deeply in the crook of the tree, and concealed by dirt and grass was an object. It was a small, round object, that could easily be carried by anyone; it was a Pokemon egg!

He moved cautiously towards it, but there wasn't anything, Pokemon or human, in sight that could be the possible owner of the egg. Upon sensing Cladis's confusion, Ava looked to the egg as well, and with little cautionary thought, dug it out of the tree, and set it on her lap.

"What do you think is in here," she asked Cladis, her curiosity showing clearly on her face. He simply looked at her and raised and lowered his shoulders slightly, showing that he did not know. Ava forced her gaze from the egg, and instead focused it around her, but there was no sign of anything that could possibly be the owner of the object in her lap. "Poor thing must have been abandoned or forgotten," she observed, and with care, put the egg gently in her bag. It would be safe there.

Cladis let out a deep huff, but did not show any sort of irritation or fear from keeping the egg, instead, he let off feelings of exhaustion and curiosity. He stood closer to Ava, then sniffed her bag curiously, then with some sort of parental resolve only a Pokemon would know, he curled around the bag, and slept with his body protectively around it. Ava looked at Cladis, then she shifted her body towards the Absol, and put her head on him, using him as a makeshift pillow. She then closed her eyes, and allowed the, much needed, sleep to take her.

Ava wouldn't be able to detect it, but a pair of yellow eyes had been watching her for some time. It had even seen her battle in the cave, among other things. It continued watching for now, while a sneaky Teddiursa approached the drowsy girl's pack, trying to steal food from it.

Ava felt a prickle of warning coming from the sleeping Cladis. It seemed he was sensing something, even as he slept. With a small yawn and a stretch, Ava got up and noticed the Teddiursa sorting through her pack. This brought a smile to her face, and she knelt down beside the Pokemon.

"Cladis must really be on guard if a little Teddiursa like you set off his senses," she lifted the Teddiursa's paws out of the pack, and reached in herself. Retrieving some bread, she tore off a piece and handed it to the cute bear.

Tedduresia sat and started eating the bread, still staring at the trainer. When tedduresia was finished he decided the trainer was trustable. Tedduresia let out a yawn and sat on Avaritia's lap. After some time, he started snoring!

Ava giggled at the sleeping Teddiursa, but felt too energized to sleep herself. Cladis was still breathing at a slow and peaceful rate, signifying that he still slept. She felt a sense of the calm filtering through his body, and decided to leave him be. It wasn't like the sleeping Teddiursa would permit her to do anything anyway.

Cicatrix, however had entirely different plans. Being unnoticed to Ava, nor to Cladis, he divebombed the Absol full force, waking him up from the impact. Growling, he lunged at Cicatrix, but the bird flew out of range in time. "Stop it, you two," Ava commanded. Cladis obeyed, making sure the egg wasn't harmed in the scuffle. Cicatrix flew down to land on Cladis's horn, much to the Absol's displeasure.

"Where are the others?" Ava asked, though just as the question was voiced, Manu and Ignire appeared, running back to their trainer. Ava then glanced at the sleeping Teddiursa, and gently picked him up, careful not to wake him. "What to do with this little guy..." she trailed off. After a moment's thought, she continued to cradle the Pokemon in her arms and started walking through the forest once more. There was still enough time to explore and perhaps even see more new Pokemon.

As Ava walked through the forest a hord of Butterfree passed by! But they disapeared as quickly as they came. Then, a angry Spearrow attacked! It started by ussing peck!

Ava looked at the Spearow, and barely jumped out of the way of the Peck. It seemed all her Pokemon did as well, and Cicartix made a 'craw' of challenge and launched himself at the Spearow, however,he was sent into his Pokeball quickly. "Sorry Cicatrix," Ava said, "But this is Ignire's battle.

Surprised, but eager, Ignire stepped into battle, running at Spearow in an attempt at a jumping tackle.

Spearrow got hit and was send flying. Then it used Peck again.

As the Spearow sped at him, Ignire froze. Perhaps it was lack of battle expirence,or simply surprise, no matter the reason, he was hit. Sent sprawling back, Ignire got back up with an angry huff. Running at Spearow, he tried another Tackle.

Spearrow dodged and tried to use Peck on Ignires back.

Ignire quickly used SmokeScreen in the area around him. Disappearing in the black smoke, he easily sent Spearow off course and dodged. Not having to rely on his own sight, the smoke didn't affect him. (Cyndaquil don't have open eyes, so I assume they don't rely on sight to battle). Rushing at Spearow yet again, and with more confidence and speed in his step, he tried yet another tackle.

Spearrow decided for a counter and used peck and hte incoming Ignire.

Still speeding at Spearow, Ignire continued his tackle, showing no sign of slowing. The attacks will collide.

The attacks hit eachother, sending Spearrow against a tree, barely standing.

Ignire was sent sprawling as well, and was breathing heavily as he got up again. He looked at Ava questioningly, and she gave a slight nod of permission to finish the weakened Pokemon off. Ava already had a very territorial bird, she wasn't about to make him jelous of any competition.

Ignire rushed at Spearow, hoping to end it with one more tackle.

Spearrow got send flying by the tackle and fainted when it hit a tree.
-Ignire gained 10 exp
-Ignire grew to level 8 with 3 exp left over

(Almost got it, you forgot to account the 4 exp. Ignire already had, so it would actually be level 8 with 7 exp. leftover. Added it to my profile, you can check that I gave myself no special treatment or 'mistook' the amount of exp. gained if you would like.)

"Great job Ignire!" Ava praised. She still cradled the Tediursa in her arms, but gave a large grin of congratulations. Cladis gave a kind bark as well, and Manu gave him a hug. It seemed to two Pokemon were really becoming close friends.

Finding it safe for Cicatrix to be out of his Pokeball, Ava released him from his Pokeball for some fresh air. Still grumpy over what had transpired, he ignored his trainer and fellow Pokemon, and instead flew far out of reach into the sky, but close enough to keep an eye on everyone.

Wondering what to do next, Ava absentmindedly wandered the forest trail. She still carried the Teddiursa, and unbestknown to her, the egg in her bag was growing swiftly, getting closer to hatch every step.

As they walked on the forest path, Tedduresia started waiking up, after a yawn he jamp down, looked at the btrainer, blinked a few times, and started walking with her. after some time, a Digllet popped out! Tho it was looking the other way.

Looking at the Teddiursa, Ava smiled. Along the path, she noticed the Diglett, but tried to avoid it if she could. Even though many of her Pokemon were about to level up, it didn't seem like a good opponent for them to fight.

She continued walking, trying to avoid the notice of the Diglett.

Diglett didn't notice her and went back under ground. after some time, a Sandschrew jumped in front of her.
