Out of the starting Gate, Let the training comence

Hoshua sat in the back of the movers truck as it drove to his new life his new town, the boxes around him would shake with each unsettling dip in the road. A freshly hatched Squirtle in his lap, Hoshua would smile down at it with a loving care. It was his baby and his new partner, a gift from Squirts. Of course with this new move and partner he would be starting his first ever trip into the Kanto region. He knew that it would be another long journey full of new pokemon. Even the movers pokemon was new to him after all he had only grown up around squirtles and the like. He and his squirtle…he would gasp as he had not yet named the hatchling his thoughts were to focused on taking in the new. Looking down he would name the young turtle type pokemon,” Leonardo.” It seemed as though his maturity had grown as he named the blue turtle pokemon. Just in time too as the truck pulled to a stop and the back hatch opened. Setting the Squirtle down he would shrug his head forward as he looked back,”Come on Leonardo it’s time to see our new home.”

Together Hoshua and Leonardo would move towards the door of his place in Palet Town. Heading upstairs with a box in hand and Leo trailing behind him He would look around at his humble abode. He had not been the one to pick this house as a starting point of his operation but he did not truly mind. It had a bed and a desk top already set up. Setting the box of stuff on the desk he would look for any messages on his desk top. Finding only a letter from his mom how she was so proud of him and such and that they would be rooting for him to succeed. Heading out he would look up at the clock to find that it still was not set, Quickly fixing it he would look down at Leonardo.

“So you ready to get some training done, after all your pretty new to this world and you could use the exercise?”, his voice was calm and gentle even as Leo replied back with a quick ,“Squirtle Squirt.”

It was evident that the young pokemon was ready indeed and Hoshua was curious to what new pokemon lay in store for him in this new land. The Machoke’s that had assisted the movers would finally be done putting things away as he exited his house ready to start his new adventure. Taking a Look around the town he would find but one exit to the north and head that way and into the tall grass.

He knew it was dangerous but both he and Leonardo would need practice and lots of it as he would search the grass for his opponent when suddenly, a __________ showed up!

"Lets go Leonardo."

It was a Froslas. She was floating around smelling the flowers. She noticed the two but paid little attention to them continuing on as if she hadn't noticed them at all

Hoshua would blink as he viewed the new pokemon pulling out his Pokedex he would listen as it scanned in the the new pokemon."Froslass the Snow Land Pokémon. It freezes prey by blowing its -58 degree F breath. It is said to then secretly display its prey."

Hoshua's eyes went wide at the power the pokemon in front of him and his Squirtle and so with a new determination Hoshua would call out to his partner. "Leo get close then use tackle."

Even his Squirtle was weary of the presumed wild pokemon after all neither he or his master was in an cold environment that would be more suited for such a pokemon that was hin front of him yet with a glance up at Hosh all he would say is ,"Squirt." and nod his head in agreement as he crept forward trying not to disturb the Froslass that was almost ignoring them. Sneaking behind his target he would pick up his pace before the squirtle would make a jumping tackle for the back of his target with a battle cry of, "SQUIRTLE!!" Its eyes filled with dedication to the attack as he obeyed Hoshua's command in an attempt to take out his opponent.

Froslass moves at the last second making it so that Squirtle just flies harmlessly past her. She giggles and starts walking away. As she walks she starts to sing, her voice lovly, daring them to follow her

Leonardo was shocked a little as his opponent was no longer were he had attacked at, even in mid air his eyes would fallow the grace of his evading target before he would crash down upon the grass. Doing a double take the young Squirtle would call out at the evasive Frostlass,"Squirtle squirtle squirtle SQUIRT." His voice rising a bit on his last word then the words that had led up to the squirt.

Hoshua was curious at the simplicity of the Froslasses dodge, of course the pokemon infront of them was floating so it seemed so graceful like a dancer it had glided out of the way. Shaking his head he would fallow as it started to float away as it sang. "Come on Leonardo!" shrugging his head for the Squirtle to fallow as he gave chase of what he thought was a wild pokemon. Already he had removed a pokeball from his back pack as he chased the Froslass.

Nodding at his master the Squirtle would give chase moving as quick as his little body could take him ass it huffed and puffed,"Squir tle squir tle squir tle...." Keeping up with his master.

Froslass keeps singing as she moves along keeping ahead of them easy. She decides to show off a bit and starts dancing without slowing down. It isn't long before a Purrlion jumps from it's hiding place in the grass using Scratch at Squirtle

Chasing the Froslass Hoshua would look back Squirtle, his eyes catching a glimps of purple causing Hosh to call out," Quickly, Tackle!"

Leonardo did not know why his master wanted to perform that attack after all he was not even close to the Froslass but it would do as told and jump to perform a tackle its body flipping forward slightly as the Squirtle thrust-ed out its shoulder giving all it had into its attack on the invisible foe that is when he heard it the Scratch of claws against his hard shell batting him backwards. tilting his head to confirm with his master about the new target would now be their opponent as well as keeping an eye on this new purple feline opponent."Squirtle?"

Hoshua also skidded to a stop, he would not leave Squirtle to fend for himself after all it was his pokemon and he loved it dearly like a friend he would not let him fall behind. Ignoring the tantalizing song of the Froslass his focus would be on Leonardo. "Yes Leo its our new opponent." as he held his pokedex so that it could scan the new pokemon.

"Its cute act is a ruse. When victims let down their guard, they find their items taken. It attacks with sharp claws." the Pokedex would read off as Hosh would look at his Squirtle. "Stay on guard, Leonardo."

"Mysssstic, why did you do that. I wasssss having fun" the Froslass sighs stopping

"Mreow meow meow" (Translation: Because I felt like it) the Purrlion says landing on all four paws and flipping around to face the squirtle. She jumps up flipping in the air before using Shadowball her aim perfect even still in the air showing she was used to doing it

"wait you can talk?" his eyes widening at the Froslass before his eyes would go to the movement of the Purloin. Watching the Purloin jump Hosh would call out, "Tackle, Leonardo." His eyes focused as he watched the shadow ball launched.

Leonardo was ready and at his masters command ran forward ducking a little as he took a running step on all fours to get under the aim of the shadow ball letting it crash behind him as he ran at his air born opponent before Jumping launching itself like a mini canon ball as he flipped forward aiming to crash its hard body against the purple beast,"SQUIR---TLE!!" he would yell as he made his attack his passion fueling him.

Hoshua would step to the side his arms shielding himself from the debris of the Shadow Ball, somewhere in his gut knowing that these pokemon were too powerful to be truly wild.

Mystic couldn't dodge so she was hit. When she starts falling back down she flips so she lands on her paws. She yowls like it hurt her to land and starts crying (Fake Tears, as in the move)

"Ssssomewhat" Froslass says still waiting for the fight to finish

"Ahhh maybe after this we can talk... Leonardo Rain Dance." Noding a little as he noticed the crying not wanting for leonardo to fall for a trick just because his opponent was crying, also Leonardo was special and the rain would help him if he would get injured.

Leonardo obeyed as he started to dance a little not really paying attention to his opponent as he summoned heavy rains within the area,"Squirtle squirt squirtle squirt..." The clouds above the area becoming thickly saturated with water as it poured down real tears or not they would be hidden as Squirtle stood in his element.

Hoshua's eyes watching as the rain hit him causing him to pull up his collar of his shirt as he battled the rain that quickly soaked him.

Mystic growls before slipping into the tall grass. Between the shadows of the clouds, the rain moving the grass and her dark rain soaked fur Mystic was hidden quite well as she stalks through the grass. Coming up behind Squirtle she pounces at him without warning trying to use Fury Swipes on him

Frost didn't like the rain and starts spinning using Icy Wind. Before long she had a frozen dome protecting her from the rain. She punchs out a hole so she can continue to watch the fight

"Tackle backwards, now!" Hoshua Called out, he was the second pair of eyes and with perfect vision had watched his pokemon's opponent as Leonardo had danced. The battle would be which was stronger the claws or Leonardo's shell after all there was not very many pokemon that could turn its defense into an offensive assault.

Leonardo did as he was told Jumping back with all his might backwards to smash his hard shell against his opponent, The water feeling great and with his Rain Dish ability even if he was hurt he would already be healing. His body was tucked against itself as he had launched his counter offensive. "SQUIRTLE!"

Hoshua watch as paw and claw would meet the hard shell of his Squirtle, wishing that Leonardo knew bubble or water gun but knowing that tackle may be enough to win as long as the rain kept Leonardo nourished.

Mystic sees him coming and stops the attack. Instead she lands on Squirtle's shell and jumps pushing down hard as she could hoping to send him crashing into the ground. She lands lightly on her paws a few feet away before slipping back into the grass

Leonardo crashed down being pushed into the ground his armor like shell protecting him from most damage while the rain would heal him again. Even as he stood the rain seemed to wash off his body,"Squirtle, squirt, squirtle." Tilting his small blue head letting his neck pop a little, loosening it up as he looked to his master since he could not find his opponent.

Hoshua let out a sigh of disappointment as he watched his plain fail, though the good news was that the rain had softened the ground so even though mud went flying he knew Leonardo was ok even as the Squirtle looked at him he would call out encouragement,"Lets go Leonardo!" His eyes peeled for Purloin knowing that the most that they could do was counter attack.

Froslass was getting tired of waiting. She gets out of her dome and uses Icey Wind again filling in the holes in her dome making it a hollow sphere. She uses Thunderbolt on it and it catchs the electricity lighting up the surrounding area.
Mystic yowls at the sudden light rubbing her eyes with her paws. Her eyes had adjusted to the darkness and the sudden light temporarly blinded her and also shows where she is

Hoshua twisted and lifted his arm as the light spiked behind him Illuminating his Squirtle and the Purloin it taking only moments for him to register what had happened. His trust would be placed on Leonardo as he called out,"Leo, eight o'clock tackle!" His eyes watching in anticipation at his partner hoping that Leo would remember his mothers training.

Leonardo was blinded by the light as it burnt light spots into his vision his salvation would be his masters voice. Eight o'clock, just over his left shoulder was where Hoshua would want him to tackle. a smile almost playing on his lips as he pivoted counter clockwise. His body tensing as he ran forward on all fours blindly fallowing his masters words. His body willing and ready to collide into his opponents as he charged forward.

Hoshua smiled as he watched Leo listen even as he was getting drenched he was getting happier, his hopes rising more with confidence as things moved slowly into place for Leonardo to pull through in this challenge. He would have to thank the Froslass for this opening she provided once this would be over.

Mystic couldn't see the attack coming so she couldn't dodge. She ended up being crushed between the squirtle and a large rock she had been hiding in the shadow of. She fell over quite stunned after the attack

Leonardo felt the force of his attack like crashing into a padded wall only to bonce away a little bit. His full force had impacted forcefully into the Purrloin, all twenty pounds of him had worked like a sledge hammer against the slightly bigger foe. His eyes still had not fully adjusted but Leonardo could still make out were the Purrloin was, his right foot sliding back a little in the mud as motioned to his master for his next order.

Hoshua had watched, Leonardo perform wonderfully. Looking up for a split second he would see the clouds starting to fade away as the rain would begin to stop. "Oh well", Hosh would think as he returned his focus to his partner, Leonardo, who was "checking in". His eyes refocusing on the Purrloin judging whether or not for the match to be over, after all he was not heartless but for Leonardo to grow others would have to fall. Swallowing he would call out," Leonardo use tackle."

Squirtle would nod as he stepped forward with his right foot, throwing all of his weight within the short distance of his stunned opponent. "SQUIRTLE!", He would cry as he aimed for impact wondering if this would be the last needed attack to settle this fight. His eyes closing as he braced himself for impact.

It hits Mystic making her faint. Squirtle gains three levels from the battle.
"Well sssshe brought it on herssself" Froslass says picking Mystic up and starting to walk the same way she had been headed before not seeming to have much trouble with the weight. She was headed towards some woods from which a faint song from someone singing was coming from

Happy with his first official win Leonardo would be giddy with joy as his emotions would bubble up, it would not be his emotions but actual bubbles that would launch out of the still young Squirtles body and into the air in celebration. His joy making him overlook that he was performing a move that he did not know before as the bars to his limits released a bit freeing the attack for him to use.

Hoshua would watch as Leo's mouth would froth then burst forth in a bubbly celebration, he was almost flabbergasted at the spectacle. Getting a hold of himself he would head over to the Purrloin and the Froslass,"Let me help after all I am a reason why she feinted." Willing to carry the feline like pokemon for the Froslass as he would fallow the pokemon as they headed for the forest and the singing he only had to motion to Leonardo to call him to fallow.

Leonardo would watch his master ask to help the feinted former opponent. Slightly confused on why his master would help out a wild pokemon but not too bothered by it Leo would fall in step by his master Hoshua as they walked toward singing.

"I have her" the Froslass says continuing to walk. She weaves through the trees as if they weren't even there the singing getting louder the more they walked. Before they get to deep into the forest they come across a clearing with a tent pitched at the edge. A kirlia was dancing around the clearing, she was also the singer. "Fros Froslass Fros?" Froslass says walking over to the tent. "Kir kirlia kirl kir kirlia" the kirlia says not missing a step as she stops singing long enough to answer Froslass's question. Froslass nods setting Mystic down inside the tent and joins Kirlia dancing and singing. They both use Double Team their doubles and eachother dancing and singing in perfect harmony forming a lovly show. Kirlia uses Magical Leaf sending the sparkling leaves dancing in the air and Froslass uses Thunderbolt on them lighting them up in a beautiful light show as they continue to sing and dance
