Bolton Garvick: And Then There Were Three

Bolton waved goodbye to his parents. He was the last to leave of the new trainers, and they were probably getting close to their first gym. He was about half way into the forest when he heard rustling.
"Yes! A Pokemon! Come on out, Thunderstrike!"
Thunderstrike popped out of the PokeBall and scanned the trees.
"Emol Emol!" it said and flew into the bushes.
"Wait!" yelled Bolton. Bolton found Thunderstrike sitting next to another Emolga. "What? Another one?" asked Bolton.
Bolton let Volts out of her PokeBall. The wild Emolga's ears perked up in surprise. It glared at Bolton with a look that said "You have two Emolgas! Can I join too?" Bolton didn't know Pokemon were so eager to join trainers. Volts turned from Thunderstrike to the wild Emolga.
"You really want to join us?" asked Bolton. "Sure you don'twant a friendly battle first?" asked Bolton to the wild Pokemon. The wild Emolga seemed to be thinking. Then it nodded.
"Great!" said Bolton. "Thunderstrike, I'll give you the honours."
Volts frowned.
"Come on, Volts, you'll get your turn."
Volts let out a big harrumph. Bolton sighed. "Okay, then! Thunderstrike, Electro Ball!"
Thunderstrike surrounded itself in electricity and hurled itself at the wild Emolga. "Now use that Acrobatics move we practiced!" yelled Bolton.
Thunderstrike began to rebound off the trees and then struck the wild Emolga repeatedly, until Bolton threw a PokeBall. The PokeBall shook a few times, then stayed still.
"Yes! Another Emolga on my team!" Bolton went to pick up the PokeBall and attach it to his belt, then had second thoughts.
"You know what, I think I'll let you guys get a little fresh air," he said. He let the new Emolga out. "How are you with the name Sparks?" asked Bolton. Sparks nodded.
"Okay then! Striaton City, here we come!"
