"Is that all you have to say?" Alice demanded. She was terrified, the trembling more from fear than her anger. Was this the man who had ordered everything done to her? Was he the one who had locked her up, who had the answers to everything? Or was he the one who had orchestrated Hunter's kill order not so long ago? Even if he hadn't done any of those things, this encounter felt so very personal. All of the Pokemon, all of the people he had hurt... "Who are you? And how dare you stomp around, doing what you do?!"

Zabriski's electricity spiked wildly, connecting with some of the lights overhead, causing them to momentarily glow brighter before sputtering, coughing and dying. The lights dimmed, showering sparks onto the carpet, thankfully none of them causing a fire, darkening the room to the extent that one couldn't even look at the general direction of the windows streaming in light, leaving Alice in the darkness while the man leaned forward on the table. "Alice Corin Hope." He stated, his voice not particularly unique, or outstanding. Very...normal. He could nearly pass for a civilian.

Alice gasped, stumbling aside out of panic as the lights went out, hunching her shoulders. She was relieved that none seemed to hurt her or cause a fire, but she was already on edge enough and Zweilous was getting very, very tired of Zabriski's shit. If not for the target in front of them, the dragon would have made a point to get away or get put down-- which was not the way to treat any abuse victim, or anyone ever.
The calm of the subject before them was eerie, and Alice hated it. She hated that she couldn't get an answer or a rise from this man. "Yes. And? Do I get your name now, too?" She demanded impatiently, "If you won't stop acting melodramatic, then just release your Pokemon or surrender and shut this down so that we can get this over with!"

While the situation wasn't so that the Zebstrika didn't know or acknowledge the hitches she'd caused along the way, her emotions were running rampant. And while she despised her supposedly strong spirit to be afraid of this man standing before her, she managed to ein in her fear, sparks gradually fading away to nothing. All of a sudden, the black and white striped equine felt exhausted, leaning slightly against the wall. "My name?" The man purred. "Well, no, that you don't get. But a battle? Certainly." As though willingly to comply, he casually dropped a pokeball on his table, which rolled to the floor, and erupted in red-white sparkles, and a large form. The towering silhouette of a Dragonite.

At the release of the Pokemon, Alice stared up at the towering form with trepidation. She could barely see its face, the sheer size of it almost blocking out the blinding light from the window. She backed off, stopping short of Zabriski, as Zweilous growled menacingly at the forefront. "Fall back, Zweilous." She managed after a moment, both moody heads swinging round to object, "No, I want you to fall back. Watch behind us, stop any ambush or anything else. Watch Zabriski." She ordered. The dragon stomped its paws, but when the trainer demanded it again, the dragon stropped her way behind the trainer and electric equine, knocking them as she did.
Once she recovered from the jump of the miniscule dispute, Alice's shaky hand released Clefairy in a shower of seals. The pink male, too, seemed to sense the dark aura of the room, and had to look back at his comrades to feel reassured. "Clefairy, it's okay. It's an important battle, but you've done these before. You have the advantage." Alice prompted hopefully, but her usual enthusiasm was lacking, and they both knew it. "So start out! Use minimise, and then dazzling gleam!"

While the towering Dragonite had been occupying nearly all the space in the room, having to bend to spare its head the indignity of knocking against the ceiling, and hence bending menacingly over Alice and her pokemon, eyes slitted, and mildly luminescent. Whoever this was, to possess powerful pokemon like these, was no doubt at the top of the ladder. While the room may have been cramped, as soon as Alice released her pokemon, the Clefairy's feet touching the ground, the space around the room warped. As though turning into a void, everything seemed to get pulled towards a certain, specific center, before quietly and unceremoniously imploding.
They were on a plain. The room had magically expanded, into wide, rolling fields of green, and fresh, lilting air swirling around the sparkling rays of the sun. There was no sign of the dark, dank room of a few minutes before, and while it was relatively well-lit and pleasant, the executive - one could only assume he was one - was standing - deprived of his chair and desk - and was shrouded from head to toe in a cloak. Its hood pulled up, and face tilted downwards, he obviously went to certain extents to mask his face.
The Dragonite flinched as the powerful Fairy type attack struck it, but the male remained quiet and thoughtful. After staring at Alice and her pokemon for a few more minutes, regarding them silently, with a quiet, he withdrew to Dragonite to his side. "Unfortunate." Muttering something about typings, Clefairy, strength, versatility and weaknesses, the Dragon type remained standing by his side as he produced another pokeball, the red-and-white shiny sphere contained within it a pseudo-legendary pokemon - a Metagross. It burst forth, landing heavily on the ground on all its four, sturdy, metallic legs. It raged forth, rushing with surprising speed, its keen, analytical eyes already critically scrutinizing its foe. Its head gained a metallic sheen, as it attempted to ram the Clefairy with a powerful super-effective move - Iron Head.

((God, no! For one thing, Alice hasn't earned the egg in role play yet and secondly, it's really not the time. Consider story as much as forum mechanics, at least when modding me!))
The anxiety was made worse by a sudden disorientation, and the bewildering transformation of their surroundings. Riolu had no idea what he was reading anymore, aware that despite the beauty of this place, it was still filled with evil. The petite trainer's hair ruffled with the warm Archipelago breeze, salt tasted on the air, even if the sea couldn't be seen or heard here. The Dragonite seemed more suited to this place, although the appearance of the Metagross made the challenger angry.
"Hey, you already picked your Pokemon! You stick with it!" Alice snapped, but she knew the fucker would only ignore her. He had so far, up his own arse so he seemed to be. "Use bounce, then sunny day and flamethrower!" Alice commanded, and in a hurry, her fairy launched up into the air. Strengthening his connection with the strong sunlight, he took aim at the newcomer, blasting a stream of flame from his mouth.

(Oh. Alright~)
"The challenged party has the right to make the rules." The male purred, grinning diabolically under his hood. The Clefairy's movements made him look up slightly, edge of the hood drooping over his face. The Metagross narrowed its eyes; it was said to have a brain in each leg. That was too many brains, but it allowed the species to outperform supercomputers. A master in calculations, the Steel/Psychic type expertly side-stepped the flames coursing towards it, before tucking its legs in, floating in mid-air. Wasting no time, it torpedoed towards its airborne foe, its body acquiring a hard, metallic sheen. Iron Defense! It was adding to its already sky-high defence, so the flames - should they connect - would barely make a dent on the silver steel skin of the metallic arachnid. The strength of its previous move focused on its head, it neared with frightening speed with a second Iron Head.

"Arsehole." Alice hissed under her breath. The Metagross was zooming up with alarming speed, and there was nothing for Clefairy to do but to eat that damage. She had to mitigate it. "Use moonlight, now!" Her Pokemon was afraid, but it was a snap decision and he followed it. His body enveloped in a glow, and even as the Metagross struck, the pain that was felt before was beginning to dissipate. With the clear skies, even in an illusion daytime-- or whatever this was-- the ability was somewhat effective. "Now make it take a shadow ball!" Alice ordered. With Metagross so close, the trainer hoped it would fail to evade the super effective attack, but also take it harder.

(By my calculations, a STAB Iron Head from a pseudo-legendary, a super-effective move to boot off Metagross' huge attack should have been an OHKO ._.' But oh well~) (Ah darn xD Why's Shadow Ball special now? Remember when it was physical in Gen III and downwards?) (Also, again, calculations. Shadow Ball will do 28.1% damage at the maximum damage roll. One does not simply bring down a Metagross x3)
The Iron Leg pokemon was unfazed by the Clefairy's quick presence of mind, swift undertaking of orders, and in general the fact that it survived the initial bout. Quickly swinging about a sturdy leg, the Shadow Ball splashed harmlessly against it, disintegrating into slivers of ethereal energy, each pulsating before dissipating. With nary a dent to show the presence of the shallow wound, Metagross tried again, attempting to claw viciously at the Fairy type with another powerful move, Metal Claw!

((I did a degree in journalism for a reason. I dropped maths when I was sixteen for a reason. Wtf is numbahs hurrdurr how do they wurk.))
Metagross were tough enough naturally as they were, and seeing one at the command of a man like this was only adding to how surreal and frightening all of this was. Then, suddenly, everything made sense to Alice. She had completely fucked up. They didn't have they advantage-- they had the opposite. "Return, Clefairy!" The Pokemon had barely made contact when a red beam pulled the fairy from the fight, and the trainer had to freeze in a moment of shock. How long had she been lost in that other, boring world? And what was it about this space that had Riolu clutching her body for dear life, and what was once natural thinking now reduced to one big blunder after another?
Zweilous growled loudly behind her, and to ensure Alice was snapped out of her trance, one head smacked her in the leg before it began squabbling with its twin. The girl fell onto the grass, careful to shield the shimmering Riolu. "I know you want to battle, but..." She eyed the steel-psychic and its hooded commander ominously. This felt like another big fight they were destined to lose. However, dark was immune to psychic, and Zweilous was a bitch on the battlefield. "... That might actually be a good idea. Let 'em have it."
The quadruped bounded forward a length, unleashing an intimidating roar to its adversaries. "Focus your energy, and then use thunder wave!" Alice called, her Pokemon beginning to buff itself. Dragon moves would do little here, but they had a few actions at their disposal which just might work.

(X3 Oh, um. leave the number-crunching to me then~ Though even a STAB BP 75 move should knock out Clefairy, so Iron Head was overdoing it ^^' (BP 120).) (If it isn't clear yet, think of this as a boss fight X3 You naturally get a break at the end. All of his pokemon are level 70, so Zweilous actually has an advantage here. Though by default you cannot lose, similar to the forced fight in Gen III if you've ever played it.) (For easy tracking, I'll be using the below format~ :3 Hope you like it~ Settle in for a tough fight. If you want, I could display the team here. Good lord, I've grown used to giving spoilers. Darn it, Kurai!) (Yuki's only confirmed pokemon was Alakazam? What did he look like, and what rank did he have? Did he have any family or such? Anything whatsoever? Every bit of knowledge would help~ :3)
The Metagross and its trainer were both slightly taken aback by the roaring, rampaging dragon, though they did marvellous jobs of concealing their surprise - well, perhaps not the Iron Leg pokemon. It was emotionless anyway. "Who's not sticking with one pokemon now?" The male sneered, lifting an arm as a Crobat fluttered down from the blinding sunlight overhead to settle on his arm. A Crobat? "Look familiar, Alice?" Hissing her name, he stroked the Poison Bat's crest. "Ring any bells?"
The Steel pokemon could care less for the Thunder Wave, its Speed already the most redundant of all its monstrous stats. Namely, it was horribly slow. The speed drop hardly mattered. The movement restriction, however...that happened to be a different story. Unfortunately for the girl, the dual type pulled through, zooming at the Zweilous. "Tut tut, Alice. Metagross. Miracle Eye, then Power-Up Punch." The Metagross knew its attacks. Closing in, it would surround itself with a pink glow, attempting to envelope its opponent in the same, performing a powerful Psychic attack that, while not harming the Zweilous directly, would still take affect, having adverse effects after the initial bout. Already its huge fist/hand-appendage was pulled back to execute a powerful punch.

((I had honestly thought this guy wasn't Yuki, but hey ho. Slow has a tracker with a few details of Yuki on there, plus he appeared briefly and earlier on the Mikan thread. He's considered to be a top and decent executive for Team Rocket, only confirmed Pokemon being Alakazam. Nothing much's known about him, although he was hinted as a love interest, albeit not a particularly fluffy one.))
Alice grit her teeth. The Crobat didn't ring any bells right now, although she wished it did. "You'll just have to take that hit, Zweilous! But get it back with fire fang and crunch!" At least the sunlight would enhance the flames that enveloped her dragon's maws, her monster bracing itself for the whopping assault. Its two heads tried to bite down right away, to burn away at the steel shell, and then hang on with its dark type element. It was in this case that having two heads was certainly better than one. Alice could only hope it would deal double the pain. They needed anything to take this Metagross down. More than just this island was surely depending on it. "No, it doesn't. Give me some clues?"

"Nope. Block it, Metagross." The man stated calmly. Immediately its arms burst forth, two of them grabbing the Zweilous' left head, preventing the Dragon from Crunching down on the Iron Leg android. The arachnoid required a free arm to execute its next move, which the executive stated to be Hammer Arm. A large, metallic arm swung up, flinched slightly at the pain of the Sun-boosted Fire Fang, but seemed to recognize it as an unknown emotion, shaking it off with the boosted Defense, before swinging down at the Dark type right before it. It would be no easy task to dodge this one. The paralysis didn't seem to work in Alice's favour...yet.

((How could you not find it? It's literally the second topic in the trainer organisation list, right beneath mine. @_@ And yeah, he is. He's the one who stole the necklace, approached her on Pinkan Island, saved her from Hunter and forced the tablet.))
"No, Zweilous!" This was a disaster. Her dragon screeched in pain, one of its heads painfully swinging to and fro, dizzied. It antagonised the other, and they proceeded to bicker before finally lashing out at Metagross, attempting for more fiery crunches despite lack of instruction. Alice was terrified, and she was regretting absolutely everything. Selfishly and stupidly, she wished she had never 'come back', that she had never woken up, and just thought she lived an easier and boring life. Why did she think that taking on a criminal gang was possible? Alice didn't feel cut out of this, not at all. She wasn't.
Riolu could sense it, sense the crescendo of her emotions-- a rising hysteria which would only lead to a great and horrific fall. There was something about the atmosphere exacerbating it, making he and Zabriski feel worse, too. It might have been affecting the twin-headed dragon just as much, although Zweilous wasn't letting anyone know either way. The Pokemon was on its own reckless rampage now. The Metagross was the greatest challenge it had yet to face, and she didn't care if her trainer wasn't up to snuff-- Zweilous planned to put it down either way. They had to take revenge for imprisonment, after all, and the dragon had too much pride to risk a loss.

(Oh! You're right. Although, according to my calculations, Zweilous should have fainted from the Hammer Arm.)
"Metagross." The male spoke, and a silvery-blue eye sparkled from beneath his hood. The Steel type retreated swiftly, shoving back the Zweilous' head to gain that extra second to get away. "Don't forget the neat thing you hold." The male drawled, bored, though slightly affronted that the Dark/Dragon could stand up to the powerful attack. Revealing a Lum Berry from somewhere, the Metagross opened its sizable mouth, chomping down on the berry in a single bite. It seemed to sparkle slightly before the electric sparks dissipated explosively. It was cured of paralysis!
"Hmm. Psychic." The Metagross' eyes glowed a bright, vivid...pink. Way to throw off the moment. Regardless, the move it packed was a powerful one. A psychic move. And despite Psychic moves having no effect on Dark types, that disability could be off-put by a single move. A move, seemingly meaningless, but hiding a powerful strength. Miracle Eye. It shook up the type-charts, breaking the fourth wall, and enabling Dark types to be hit by Psychic attacks. And Psychic was a powerful attack indeed.

Alice had to close her eyes for a moment, hearing the sound of even her mighty Zweilous fall. It was painful. A defeat in the face of something so evil and so important was too much, and she knew neither Zubat nor Pachirisu were up for this. Riolu was simply out of the question. She withdrew the fainted dragon. Slowking was the final option here, he was the only one Alice had left. Yet, it seemed pointless to try all the same. It was like delaying the inevitable.
"... I don't want to do this anymore." The young woman said finally, a lump in her throat, fighting back tears. The hand which grasped Slowking's sphere was obviously shaking. "They're just getting hurt. I want this to stop."

"You want it to stop, do you?" The man asked, his voice laden with almost genuine-sounding compassion. Of course, the wide, crooked grin that spread across his face, glinting under the cover of darkness told of a different mindset. Oh how amusing is was to see the girl tremble. The great Alice Hope, the mysterious one, the one with the powers. His eyes had long adjusted to the dark, and he was enjoying watching her squirm, seeing the look on her face when it's clear she can't win. "What do you do now, then?" he asked with a sneer, "Or do you not have a plan for this one? Falling to my whims." His hand fell from stroking the Crobat and he instead lowered it to, of all things, Metagross's Pokeball. In a sudden flash of red, the Pokemon was returned and all that were left in the room were Alice, the man and the Crobat, and Zabriski.
The battle itself had put the Zebstrika on edge, and he had been digging at the ground with his hoof for the majority of Alice's fight. Electricity was still crackling wildly across his body, and his nostrils began to flare even more once the Steel type was withdrawn. His eyes were narrowed and laden with malice, and it was clear that if Alice wasn't going to act, he sure was.
"You'd best control that beast before I change my mind," the man hummed, rotating Metagross's Pokeball in one hand. "I think I've decided there's something I would enjoy more than demonstrating what I can do. There will be much greater opportunity for that. So, little girl, care to make a deal with the devil?"

Alice felt sick, almost faint, and Riolu could keenly sense it. Even as he snuggled against her chest, reddish-brown eyes peered up, a few mumbles leaving the fighting baby's mouth. She barely noticed and understood even less, simply stroking his blue fur as she turned back to look at Zabriski. "Down. You should have left with Marie." She added, although she understood her anger. It was shared, but Alice was too afraid and too upset to act with her anger. Doing so before had brought nothing but pain. "It depends on what the deal is. What do you want?"

Zabriski was still shifting and flaring his nostrils, but feeling the firmness in Alice's eyes and sensing the apprehension in the air, he backed off. The man watched the exchange and seemed satisfied enough to continue. "I'm sure you're well acquainted with a certain individual within our little organization by now," it wasn't hard to figure who he may be referring to, "if I may be frank, we don't like one another. He enjoys toying with you, so you're a prime target for me. As such, I'll give you this: I look the other way on this little mission of yours. In return, you owe me. I can cash in a favor whenever I please, it could be tomorrow, it could be years from now." His grin curved in an even more wicked display, and the Crobat alongside him fluttered its wings, peering at the Riolu with a smug disinterest. This was a man not to be trifled with, and he didn't seem to be very afraid of an act that would betray his organization for his own selfish gains. "Do we have a deal, dear Alice?"

Alice grimaced. She knew exactly who the man was referring to, although it did bring a small satisfaction to know that the top executive had enemies on the inside. She would sleep well at night if these two just killed each other. "I owe you anything? Or you want me to push him off a cliff into the sea?" She clarified. Either way, Alice did consider the fact that she could just ignore his demands later on if in a better position to do so. Besides, the Rocket that had put a needle in her however long ago had plenty of answers to give. He had saved her life once. This was a heavy deal to agree to. "You know I had a lot of questions to ask. You really won't answer any of them?"

"The specifics aren't relevant," the man replied firmly, tapping Metagross's Pokeball to the wooden arm of his chair with an audible 'thuck'. A silent threat. "Although I don't think you have much of a choice in this regardless. As for answers," he chuckled, "it's not my problem that you can't remember..." He enjoyed keeping her in the dark, simply dangling the bait and without means of reaching it. Answers weren't free, everything had a cost. "A simple yes or no, and we'll go from there. Alice's stomach sunk, parted lips twisting into an even grimmer frown. He had practically confirmed one suspicion for her. This was the world she belonged in, the one that she had forgotten about. Sure, maybe just like the other, the brain was playing tricks... But she solidly believed. What else could she do? She was committed now, to this reality, for better or worse. "... Yes..." She said finally, knowing full well that this would only add to her self-loathing. It was a temporary peace. If she didn't, this man could lock her back up and traumatise the Pokemon even more. It wasn't worth fighting a battle she couldn't win when she could gear up and end the war in her favour. "We have a deal, fine..."

While Alice's own lips formed into a downturned frown, the man's curled into an almost feral grin. Now that's a good girl. I'll be in touch." After allowing his final statement to linger in the air, he stood. The Crobat fluttered into the air, and a slight gleam of an object fell from one of its small, taloned feet, landing in the man's unoccupied hand. The object was metallic and seemed to contain a small array of buttons, none of them labeled. He pressed one, and it seemed to have given off some sort of silent signal, as after only a moment, a flash of white light brought a lone Xatu into the room.
The Pokemon gazed at Alice unblinking and stood almost as still as a statue. It's eyes, however, told of immense intellect, greater emotion. A lingering plea for help rested in her mind. But, as soon as the Pokemon appeared, as brief as the exchange was, both it and the man disappeared in an instant. Teleporting to parts unknown. Alice was alone, it seemed at least the stranger was a man of his word, or was acting as such. Zabriski pawed at the ground anxiously whinying softly and throwing his head in frustration. If that Rocket was now out of her reach, it wasn't long before she'd aim her hooves at another...

Alice hoped that the man would never be in touch, but that was wishful thinking. Feeling hopeless, even as the Xatu seemed to call to her, she stared into the empty room. It was Zabriski's discontent that brought her back, and she reached out her free hand to try and soothe the electrical equine. "Hey, hey. It's alright, for now. Everything'll be okay. We need to get you back to Flo and her Grandmother now." She said. She also had to find the rest of her things, although she at least had her team back. "Come on. We ahould make sure everyone else is okay and leave."
