Cress likes to use the biggest, bulkiest pokemon she can find. She especially love pokemon with huge attack stat and will often go into a battle head first and will always go for straight offense. She will continue attacking until she finds a chink in the opponents armour and will the proceed to exploit it.

Personality
Cress is a very bubbly and childish person who loves to have fun and is often very extreme. She can also be described as emotional and sometimes annoying and irritating. Cressila loves many things, some of which are ice cream, pokemon battles, pokemon contests, and enjoying time with friends. However, Cressila does dislikes some things such as; cheaters, thieves, crooks, self-conceited people and cheese cake. One thing to note though is that she often goes through mood swings which cause her to be edgy or on her guard at times. Despite her mood swings and constant edginess, Cressila is a very nice girl who loves to be in the presence of other people and pokemon. Except for when she is battling. That is when Cress seemingly becomes another person.

When Cressila is battling she is ruthless and cruel. She completely loses all of her better qualities and appears to become empty, almost void of all emotion. As she battles though, Cressila will begin to show signs of "life" and will soon start to become arrogant and rude or humble but blunt. However, when the battle ends Cressila will return to her happy self and all will be well.

History
Cressila was born and raised in Oreburgh City. Her mother  stayed at home all day and her father worked in the mines. Cressila walked to and from her school in Jubilife City everyday. Cressila's life was normal. She often found herself glad that her life was normal and that her family was simply average. that was until her father won the lottery.

Cressila was eleven years old when it had happened. One day, Cress and her father were walking around in Jubilife City. After walking passed the Pokemon Lottery Building Cressila's father had decided to go and buy himself a ticket with some of his spare cash. as her father walked into the building Cress sat down on a nearby bench.  After waiting for about ten minutes Cress started to wonder what was taking her father so long. It was then that her father had run out of the building screaming "WE WON, WE WON". It took Cress a moment to  figure out what was going on but soon enough she was screaming right along with her father.

Fast forward a few years and Cressila is now 14 years old and her life is much more lavish and luxurious. Her and her family now live in a large house in Sunyshore City. Cress also has some new clothes and accessories including a necklace with a moonstone in the center of it that her father bought for her a couple of months earlier. Life is good and Cressila is happy. On one particular day, Cress was particularly happy. And that was the day when she got her first pokemon. Both her and her father had both went up to a pokemon ranch nearby. Soon after she had arrived Cress had already picked out a pokemon. It was a small Nidorina♀.

While her father talked to the ranch owner Cress decided to  take a look around. As she was looking she noticed an big pokemon who was sitting on the ground just staring at the dirt. Cress approached it and it looked up. Cressila stopped dead in her tracks. The look on the poor pokemon's face was enough to almost bring her to tears.  That was when she new that she had to take it. She ran back to tell her dad about the pokemon.

As Cress, her father, and the ranch owner approached the pokemon the owner began to speak. "This here is Kangaskhan. She was left here about 6 years ago and every time we get a new visitor they always look over her" he said. "She must be real sad, all of her friends have already found new homes an-" " Well I want her" Cressila interrupted. Her father stared at her. " Sweetie lets remember that we only came here to get one pokemon and I don't think you're-" he started but Cressila interrupted him as well. "Dad" was all she had to say and that day Cressila Portman left the pokemon ranch with two pokemon.

A couple of days later Cress was sitting in her room with Nidorina♀. The small pokemon kept starring at Cressila's necklace. " Oh do you want to wear it?" she asked with a smile. Cress took of her necklace and then placed it onto the small pokemon. as soon as the pokemon touched the small stone  in the center of the necklace it began to glow a bright light. Cress covered her eyes to hield herself from the blinding light and when she looked back a Nidoqueen was sitting on her bed. " Woah..." was all she could manage to get out.

Fast forward one more year and Cress is now fifteen and ready to start her journey. And with the help of her two pokemon, Nidoqueen and Kangaskhan, she feels like she couldn't be any more ready than she is. she left her house three moths ago and has since been traveling around the different regions.

Nidoqueen is the closest thing Cressila has to a sister. The two are best friends and are pretty much inseparable. Nidoqueen is very boastful and loves to show off her power.
