Personality: Hecate is a very confident girl and is also very competitive. She enjoys battles and likes to be in charge. She has her quirks, she refuses to go to any place her sister has been and also only camps in trees. She enjoys dragon type pokemon the most but would never turn another pokemon down if opportunity presented itself.

History: Hecate grew up in Anistar City with her grandmother and her sister. Her parents had been killed in an awful accident leaving only her grandmother to care for them. Hecate was always a smart girl excelling in school and sports, she was confident if not to a fault. Her sister was also confident, far more so than Kate. When she received her first pokemon her grandmother had been so proud, but before anyone could celebrate or even say goodbye her sister disappeared. She left only a note stating that she could no longer stay with us as it only was a burden on her. Kate was furious and raged for the better part of a year. She could not believe that Calli, her sister, Could just leave her grandmother like that.

Kate continued in her schooling and soon left the school to take care of her grandmother Elisa full time. She worked day and night between caring for her grandmother and dreaming up ideas of becoming a pokemon trainer. One day a woman stopped by their house; she was gorgeous with the most lovely red hair and pale complexion and verdant green eyes. She stated that her name was Hera and that she was there to help. Kate was very confused by the woman's sudden entrance, but she invited her in for tea. The woman explained that she was from Blackthorn City in the Johto region. She said that the city was known far and wide as a dragon type city. Kate knew of this city as she had read about it in stories at school. She had always dreamed of having a dragon pokemon but knew they were hard to come by. Hera stated that she had known her parents. Kate was amazed; she had never met anyone who had known her parents from another region. Kate asked if she was a dragon master like she had heard about in the books she had read. The woman told Hecate that she was indeed a dragon trainer just not yet a master. Kate's eyes had gleamed at this opportunity to meet a true dragon trainer.

Hera explained that she was there to offer an opportunity for Hecate. Kate was not sure about this 'opportunity' and seemed a bit skeptical. She was brave but not stupid; she knew that nothing came free. Hera explained that she had also met her sister Calli and knew that she had left Kate without much room for adventure like she had wanted. The woman told her that she would make a deal; she was moving into a house nearby and that she would take care of her grandmother for her if she would go on a magnificent journey that she had never been able to. Kate explained to Hera that she did not have any pokemon. The woman just smiled and shook her head fondly and informed her that if she agreed that she would give Kate a dragon type pokemon to train and maybe one day become a dragon type master. Kate was in awe; she couldn't believe someone was offering her a chance! After talking it over with her grandmother, who had apparently knew Hera, they agreed that Kate should go on a journey. Hera gave Kate a pokemon. It was a Tyrunt; she stated that it was brought back from a fossil and had yet to find a companion. Kate thought it was perfect!

Upon her journey she encountered many trainers and won battles and lost some as well. She thought this was good as her head would not overly inflate. She liked to stay into a place and make sure she had met many people and trained as much as she could. It was during her time in Cyllage City that she noticed a pokemon that some people were picking on. The people were kicking it and making a fuss over it, Kate went and called on Tyrunt to stop the people. After a long battle she was finally able to drive the people away. Kate then set about to healing the pokemon before moving it to the pokemon center. After it was healed at the pokemon center Kate took it back to where she had found the pokemon and realized that she did not even know what kind of pokemon this was. When she held up her pokedex it informed her that it was a dragon pokemon named Goomy. But before she could battle it, it had slithered over and opened a pokeball of it's own accord and was captured. After her capture of Goomy her next target was battling the Santalune gym. She learned that Goomy was the strongest pokemon but she was faithful and would do anything that Kate asked. They trained day and night to try and improve what she was good at and give her a good chance in a battle that she would be in. Her first major battle ended in a defeat and she became even more dedicated to training with Kate and trying to become stronger. Her goal is to challenge all the Dragon Type Gyms and Elite Four.
