- Spoiler:
Name: Alexis Danica Printz
Alias- Alexis prefers using many alias to go by against her full name. Alex and Axel are her favorites, though. Less commonly used are Danica and Lexi.
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Class: Breeder
Roots: Johto, born in Cherrygrove, graduated in Goldenrod
Battle Style: Alexis likes to believe she has a good grasp of Pokémon, and battling strategies. Especially since she took those extra curricular courses through school! Still, when buffing her Pokémon up or weakening the opponent doesn't seem to be working, she isn't above an all out beat down-style brawl. Though she likes to think she's good at battling, she's not too drawn to it. She would rather bond with Pokémon and befriend them through other means if available. Of course, she still understands that battling is impossible to avoid entirely when on a journey.
Appearance: Alexis stands at approximately 5'6", or 168 cm, she weighs in at 125 lbs, or 56.6 kg. She has a full bust with a fair waist and shallow rib cage. 32DD, 28", 36" as generalized (US) measurements would show off her figure, with curves in all the right places. That's not to say that she's flawless, though. She's pale for most of the year, hiding from outdoors during cold weather. Though her skin is fair and somewhat pale, she rarely burns thanks to parts of her heritage, and actually tans quite nicely.
Her hair is medium-long, generally an almond brown in color with hints of natural blonde and auburn highlights. The sun brings out the highlights the more she's in it. She has slight freckles that appear around the bridge of her nose, but they have mostly faded over time. They still accent her large, round green-ish hazel eyes, which have an interesting quirk of their own. They have a tendency to change colors to more heavily reflect one or another color depending on her mood. Of course these colors are a pretty limited spectrum of brown, green, and gray.
Her body is littered with scars from various injuries throughout her life. The most prominent ones she often has troubles covering up. These include a large scar on the underside of her chin, three 'slash' marks running perpendicular to the flow of her left upper arm, and a large scar adorning her left knee. She has many that have faded over time, as well as plenty across her back that leave an almost tiger like appearance when she tans.
In addition, she has two tattoos. One is on her left ankle and calf, a tribal styled butterfly in all black ink. The other are stylized paw prints on the back of her neck, at the right side. The actual paws are in black ink with blue waving accents surrounding and cutting through them.
Due to her scars, among many other reasons, her self esteem was low most of her life. She still looks down on herself, but stopped giving a damn what anyone else thought about her. It helps that her teeth are now beautifully straight thanks to oral surgery and braces. She no longer wears the braces, as she had them removed years prior, but enjoys being able to smile freely now.
As far as fashion is concerned, Alexis isn't. She wears literally whatever she wants on any particular day. Sometimes she's dressed in goth-like attire, other times looks like she walked out of a prep meeting. No matter what though, her own comfort in her skin is number one priority. During hot weather, she is almost always caught wearing her swim gear beneath shorts and half shirts, though. Sandals are a must, if only to prevent stepping on broken glass.
There are only two things consistent in her journeying outfits. The first is her backpack; a simple grayish black with yellow para cord accents, and a single cross-shoulder sling. She keeps her Pokégear attached to it via keyring. The second is her Trainer's belt - which she splurged for. The belt has six slots which hold minimized pokéballs securely, as well as a small pouch for various small items.
Personality: Alex has a very deep personality, with many elements that can conflict with each other. Many different elements are present, but few are so greatly defined to generalize her. A family history of personality and behavioral disorders leads her among many others to believe she suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder, which can make her very temperamental with easy switches between extreme emotions. Over her life, she has learned to more or less control most of these switches, but has led her to bottle her emotions leading to outbursts.
When it comes to scholarly subjects, Alex was always rather intelligent. She was no genius, but higher than average would be nothing short of the truth. She excelled greatly in Math and the Sciences, but struggled through subjects such as History and Geography mostly due to lack of interest. In her languages class, she often got high marks in creative writing, but held great disdain for essays and so often scraped by in them.
Her greatest subject by far were the arts. Be it her general art class, band, or choir, Alex excelled. She had a natural talent for artistic and creative endeavors. Though constantly complimented on her work, she was never truly satisfied with any of her works, no matter how proud she initially was of the outcome. With her innate abilities, it's a real shame that she lacks motivation for most things. Proactive is a word that generally describes anything but her.
Though she lacks motivation, she will sometimes find muse and dedicate herself to something with relentless passion. Once she's determined the outcome, she will bite and claw her way to success. You can count on her very best effort when her heart is in it. The amount of passion and dedication put into such things can come across to others as motivational, or put them off entirely. Alex runs hot and cold like this with most people.
Aside from that, Alex is at heart a kind and quiet person, often showing a rather modest demeanor. While growing up she always tried to see the best in people, even when it wasn't there. Unfortunately reality has taken its toll on her perspective on life, and left her somewhat bitter and pessimistic. She will give people the benefit of the doubt, but her skepticism will remain until one view or the other is proven.
Though she dislikes people in general, Alex still tries to remain friendly until prodded. She is often a voice of reason, and an unbiased opinion in many situations. She is quite good at separating herself from most situations emotionally, so long as she is not the target. She is like a magnet, attracting many people to her while inadvertently pushing away just as many. Many of these qualities make her a reliable friend, and give her great potential as a leader.
If in the right situation, Alex can come across as loud and brash. At a certain point, she stops caring about social norms and will call things out as she sees them. It's no skin off her teeth to lose friends over something she believes to be true. She has believed for a long time now that only those who will stick with her, attitude or not, deserve to call her a friend. This is because she has the patience almost of a Saint, and would do nearly anything in her power for a real friend.
Her bottling habits have led to some unfortunate side effects. Though her patience is high, everyone has a limit. Since she keeps everything inside, when she reaches her limit it can be explosive. She has a dark side which she hides behind her everyday facade, but the devil rears its ugly head now and then. Most of her outbursts come across as pure anger, though it's a multitude of emotions that merely overwhelm Alex. Sometimes the feelings are strong enough to cause her to black out, taking the aggressions out on herself or others.

History: Alexis Danica Printz was born mid fall, when the leaves had turned and piles of their leaves had been raked. She was the youngest of three, having an elder brother and sister, 11 and 6 years older than her. Most of her early life is lost like a dream, where she can remember bits and pieces, but very little of it makes sense. She remembers living in the apartment with her mother, father, brother, and sister. That was where she spent the first four years of her life, and was the start of a life long struggle.
Her mother was a hard worker, gone most of the time to keep a roof over their head and food on the table. Her bum of a father spent all day at home in his computer room. Alex only has one real memory of him, when she was sick and he scolded her for taking the medicines out of order. Her sister told her many stories about she had seen demons surrounding him and his computer. Her sister held dark secrets of her own that would take a toll on her later in life.
One day, men in white came and took her father away. She couldn't understand why her father was being taken from her, but nobody else in the house seemed to mind that he was gone. Alex would learn to live without him, and eventually would learn why her family seemed to turn their backs on him. Life was turning around for the family now, with him out of the picture.
Her mother began a relationship with one of her colleagues from work, and shortly after moved in with him. This would be the home Alex would grow up in, in the quaint Cherrygrove City. Though it was called a city, it was hardly even a town. There was a mart and Pokémon Center, but otherwise it was somewhat rural and secluded.
Life at home was relatively good. Her mother's boyfriend could be harsh and a bit of an ass at times, but took care of them. He was nice plenty of times too, so it wasn't at all abusive so much as he just instilled fear into the youngest child. He definitely made her respect authority from a young age.
At school, Alex seemed to slip through the cracks socially. She was often favored by teachers, but would often not get along well with the other children. She was shy and bullied more often than she was able to join in. Her sister on the other hand, was quite the social butterfly but slipped through the cracks scholarly.
Alex can recall correcting her elder sister's homework starting at a relatively young age. Though her sister was six years older, she was only 5 grades ahead due to being held back. Alex still looked up to her as a role model, often clinging to her and her friends rather than kids her own age. In just second grade, Alex was placed in an accelerated reading program, reading at a high school level already.
Once her sister hit the teenage years, Alex noticed she began to change. As many teenagers did, her sister began experimenting with drugs and alcohol. However, repressed memories caused the girl plenty of grief and caused her to delve down the road much deeper than most. Alex being so close to her sister was exposed to the behavior, and even often prodded to try it for herself. She would refuse most of the time, but at times she had little choice in the matter.
Her sister was slowly losing her mind, and slipping into a depression. She began getting into fights regularly at school, and ended up expelled. She started cutting herself, and frightening Alex for fun. She was chased into the closet by her sister with a butcher knife, and often made to sit in dark rooms alone without crying. As a result, Alex is often uneasy or afraid of the dark when alone.
Meanwhile at school, Alex made pretty much no progress socially. In early years she was ignored, and she could accept that. However, children can be cruel, and began to pick on her for their own amusement. Teachers would never do anything about the bullying, as acknowledging the bullying would mean they would lose their 'bully-free zone' perks. Instead, Alex was told to ignore it if it wasn't life threatening.
After a while, she would bottle her emotions instead of letting the other children get a rise out of her. As if a cruel twist of fate, the bullying only got worse until she would break down. Early on, her emotions would pour out as despair, often crying at the relentless taunting, which only brought about more. Later on in life, it became more aggressive, and turned from crying to screaming and then action.
Her sister was sent to a mental institution for troubled teens at 16, leaving Alex at home alone. Her brother was so much her elder that he played little role in Alex's life. She remembered playing video games with him, but otherwise he was out of the house by the time she turned 10. This left her to deal with her mother, who for years had dealt with anxiety and depression, often getting into frightfully loud arguments with her siblings. Too often Alex had been dragged into the middle of the debates, now she was the newest target.
At school, her rage grew. It was in middle school the first time she threw a punch, however it was caught by a nearby teacher. Since there was no contact, neither of them were punished. Under normal circumstances, she might have been assigned a suspension, but the teachers favored and protected her more often than not.
Instances became more frequent as the other teens became more aggressive as well. Her sister had since been released from the institute, and left home in the dead of night again, making Alex more stressed than usual. Her sister did eventually return, though their lives were thrown for another loop as their new father figure lost his mind to illness and alcohol. When the same thing happened to her family again, he was taken away as well. Her sister left the region, needing to make her life work on her own, and Alex moved with her mother to Goldenrod City.
Alex's pattern with school continued. She was an impeccable student, and got along well with her teachers and the staff. Even her new principal seemed to favor her. However, it was now a larger city, with bullies worse than ever. Alex was generally physically weak, but when enraged would experience an adrenaline fueled boost that made her fantastic in a scrap.
Her senior year, one of her relationships ended badly due to someone she had considered a friend. It turned out she was nothing more than a backstabber, out for her own gain. With the rage built up, Alex's bottling came to fruition when she truly snapped for the first time. It was after school, where she attacked the girl who ended up with a face full of concrete. It had all happened so quickly, that Alex was already walking home before she realized what had transpired.
Somehow, Alex managed to avoid getting in trouble over the ordeal. She graduated early at the age of 17, with honors. Alex went through a period of depression, hurting herself and drinking. She stayed out late, and argued frequently with her mother over the coming months. Eventually Alex straightened herself out on her own, and decided to work toward her own goal.
To get out of the house, she would become a Pokémon Trainer! Her family had taken in critters of all sorts over the years, so she was pretty accustomed to Pokémon and other various animals. She spent the next couple years saving up to get out of her home. It was hard, as every time she would get into a fight, she would have to find a new employer.
Finally the time had come for her to set out. She had just turned 21 the year prior, setting out in the spring. Her sister had moved on in life, and found resolve with a man she loved. They had kids now, happily married. It was little for Alex's mental state though, aside from knowing her sister was no longer in pain. With the money she saved, she packed up her things and went out to start her journey, wondering which Pokémon would be her first partner.
Side Notes:-Alex is quite creative, able to often craft and draw relatively skillful.
-Due to many injuries she has a higher than average pain tolerance (but is, as a result unfortunately rather weak physically when not raging out).
-She's double jointed in her hands, shoulders, elbows, knees, and feet (yes, feet). She's no contortionist, but the gross-out/ freaky factor still exists when she shows it off. This also helps prevent her from breaking bones.
-She's extremely accident prone, able to trip and take out a chunk of flesh bad enough to convince people there was a car accident. This has fortunately only ever landed her in the hospital a handful of times.
-Various Backpack Contents:
Notebook&Pens/pencils
Snacks (Nuts, Granola Bars, etc...)
Water bottles (generally 2-3 at a time)
Bandages and General First Aid Kit (she's accident prone, after all)
