Looking for a Big Win [Gym Battle: Versus Falkner - Part 2] [Mod Needed] [Join with Permission]

Pidgeotto did not so much as flinch at the harsh, raucous sound. It merely flapped it's wings to obtain some height. It's wings, powerful, neatly cut naturally into stream-lined shapes, built for speed, quickly stirred up dust which soon turned into mud.

"Pidgeotto! Mud-Slap!" Knowing that it would be an effective counter against the Fire Type, Falkner called out the order. The Avian was already well into it. It flapped once, a powerful one sending up gusts and mud towards the Fire Lizard.

Pidgeotto brushed it aside with a casual flick of her wing. Of course, it actually struck the feathered body but Pidgeotto seemed to ignore it. "Again!" Falkner called out, his order snapping out like the sharp crack of a whip. Pidgeotto flapped it's wings again in order to throw out more mud.

Before Vladimir could issue a command, Charmander took the initiative of running away from the attack. He ran off to a distance, very far away from the Pidgeotto with hopes that the winds would not reach him that far should Pidgeotto try a ranged attack. "What are you doing," Vladimir asked, not sure of what Charmander is doing. The Charmander, with a big grin and an unbelievable fighting spirit and courage, taunted the Pidgeotto to come at him.

Unfortunately for Charmander, honed by loads of battles, Pidgeotto was surprisingly level headed. Holding it's ground, it refused to budge. Since the fanged danger, no higher than it's wing joint was now far away, Pidgeotto had the chance to reevaluate it's strategy. However, it's current path seemed right. It flapped it's small wings hard and achieved some more height. It released a Gust of wind at the Charmander.

Charmander could not save himself. Vladimir thought to save his Charmander from fainting even if it were to be done in a dirty way of withdrawing the Fire-type to a Poké Ball but he realized that the laser of the device would not reach Charmander in time nor reach Charmander to begin with. The Pokémon must have been fated to faint; at least he chose to go down fighting. He knew it as well as he felt the winds coming closer. Bravely, he used Flare Blitz to charge towards the winds itself and willingly took the force meant to knock him down. Too bad, he did not get any experience points from this battle.

Vladimir knew he lost, or so he thought. He suddenly remembered that on his way to the Gym earlier, his Charmander befriended a Hitmonlee along with a Totodile. This realization put a wide smile on Vladimir's face. He withdrew his Charmander and whispered on his Poké Ball, "Yours was an honorable death. Err... faint."

Vladimir regained his composure and sent out the Hitmonlee. The good thing is that Hitmonlee is in equal Level with the Pidgeotto but the Fighting-type's Type disadvantage may lead to its defeat. This Gym would probably be one of Vladimir's most memorable places. "Alright now, you're in charge. Brave the foe with a Mega Kick!"

Hitmonlee's legs would freely stretch similar to a coiled spring, which would let him stride lengthy towards the Pidgeotto, his foot would glow metallic light blue, jump, the glowing foot would stretch giving him greater reach, and he would kick the opponent with great force.

The Pidgeotto seemed slightly startled with the appearance of the Hitmonlee. No trainer would dare to send out a Fighting Type in a Flying gym. Caught off guard, the powerful Kick smashed into it's side, and fell limply to the ground. Ruffling it's feathers, it slowly got to it's feet. That Mega Kick was powerful. It raised accusing eyes upon the Kicking pokemon.

Soaring up in a burst of energy and speed, it released powerful Gusts, multiple of them, and sent them towards the offending opponent. Then, quickly alighting to the ground, it settled in a comfortable position, and the bruises on it's body suddenly disappeared. Roost.

Hitmonlee landed on the ground, proud and indulging that sweet thud music, he made when his foot smashed against the bird. The super-effective winds hit the Flying-type. Vladimir thought to use Revenge but realized that it would take this turn and then another, and can be disastrous. He thought to use Close Combat, since it has a very destructive base power, and it should get more power thanks to STAB. The Type difference may serve as the problem however. Regardless, it is do or die. "Hitmonlee, rush in with Close Combat! Then, immediately jump back and Meditate."

Hitmonlee's eyes would glow metallic red and he would rush towards Pidgeotto and repeatedly kick the opponent repeatedly. Should it work, he would take advantage of his flexible legs and spring away from Pidgeotto. Then, he would sit on the ground and meditate. A white outline would outline his body. When his Attack rises by one stage, a white aura would surround his body.

Pidgeotto had clearly underestimated the foe. Breaking out of it's Roost, refreshed, it quickly attained height, dodging the Close Combat. Thankful, for the Close Combat would have dealt super effective damage, with it being normal type momentarily for the Roost. While the Hitmonlee was busy Meditating, it released several more Gusts towards the inert foe.

Hitmonlee once again used his flexible legs to make a swift lengthy stride away from the direction of the winds. "Mega Kick." Hitmonlee would stride, jump, and again extend his leg towards the Pidgeotto for a Mega Kick. With the increased Attack, this Mega Kick should be more powerful than the one earlier.

Pidgeotto seemed to be able to dodge this one with grace, gliding out of the way with ease, effectively hiding the inner turmoil it wrestled with. It knew exactly how much one of those kicks would hurt. It released another bath of Gusts, keeping it's distance from the Hitmonlee.

Once again, the winds hit Hitmonlee effectively weakening him. He would independently convert the attack strength from an attack that hit it earlier into fighting power, and a spiraling energy would surround one of Hitmonlee's legs. He would then hit the opponent with its foot. "Reversal. A move that gains more power the weaker the user is. Brilliant," Vladimir commented.
