Losing Hope: Chapter 1

(Intro:)
Darkness
Is it truly the evil? Or is the evil those who were thought of as heroes? As you all know, those past have released an unknown enemy, and powers have spread throughout each of the inhabitants of the city of Mecha. But were the 'heroes' truly that clueless? And are they really passed? Not much is known, but for now, defense is needed...

(In character:)
One peaceful day, a girl was standing on top of her house, looking towards the edge of the city. Her headphones were around her neck, as she didn't want her music right now, and her music player in her jacket pocket. She was looking for someone to return. But what she saw wasn't what she had expected. There was an explosion in the distance, and she almost flew towards it, but she reached the edge of town and looked to see if anyone else had saw it. "Did I...Just imagine it?"

Case ran along roof tops some times disappearing if a small of bright blue light and repapering on a different roof nearby, he had a hood pulled over his head an a bleach hollow mask over his face as he stared down at the thug who had just stole a lady's handbag, calculating his distance. Underneath his mask a smirk appeared as disappeared again this time reappearing a few metres above and ahead of the thug. Case pulled some spare change (coins) out of his pockets as electricity bounced around his fist, he moved his hand as if skimming a stone and out shot a thick metal wire a that tripped up the thug while at the same wrapping around the thug's lower body with his hands at his waist making him unable to move. He walked up to the thug knocked him out with a single punch to the nose...most likely breaking it before taking the Handbag and teleporting back to where the lady was as she was chasing the thug to but not by the roof tops and was quite a ways behind.
He the proceed to teleport to the river side where he then turned his mask into a ring and his hoodie into a hooded waistcoat before sitting down on the bank and tossed gravel he formed into smooth stones into the river hoping one would skim across to the other side. He knew that the lady could have got the handbag herself the thug wasn't a speedster he shot out bone whips from his arms seeing how that's how he got it away from her in the first place....he couldn't figure out why he did helped her and that why in the town is a freak or special, what ever you wanted to call them why was he still a social outcast rejected by the society as if the black sheep of the flock.

Mason sat on his roof looking at of flock of birds that were flying in the distance his head jerked to the side as he saw an explosion in the distance. "What in the world" he said to him self standing up to get a better view. What was that he thought taking a few steps back then running forward he leapt off the roof spinning slightly he started to quickly shrink and grow feather and within 2 second he had transformed into a peregrine falcon. He quickly flew to the edge of town where he saw a girl I wonder if she saw the explosion he thought landing next to her before turning back "you saw that explosion right" he asked hoping he hadn't imagined it.

Alexa turned to see the falcon next to her. "The explosion? So I wasn't imagining it then?"

"No it wasn't your imagination" Mason answered "but the question is what caused it" he said scratching his head.

After getting tired of putting his frustration out on the river Case stood up and began to walk back to his home when his phone rang alerting him of an update on a forum that posted updates about the happenings of the town. He flipped out his phone not having those fancy smartphones everybody kept going on about, it read something about and explosion at the other end of town, he teleported to the tallest building before the area that was apparently bomb according to the thread once he saw the site he teleported down to the rubble if there was any.

Alexa looked towards where the explosion happened. "I'd like to figure it out myself. Should we go then?"

Rika, who had been training in a clearing of the surrounding forest had heard the explosion and frowned as she sheathed her sword and began walking in the direction of the where the explosion took place, curious of what caused it.
 
The young woman didn't make a sound as she kept her quick but silent pace, the fact that she was so quiet had earned her the title "Silent Slayer", for she was silent but deadly in battle, but there were times where she was talkative given the situation and who she was around.

"Yeah we should probably go check it out" Mason answered.

Rika continued to walk along, heading to the forest entrance at the edge of town, her pace quickening and her guard raised in case whatever, or whoever, caused the explosion was still around.

OOC: I don't want this to die, but I can't do much if nobody interacts with my character

Case walked through the smoke as he vented it to two mile straight above him in the air two miles outside of town. Once the smoke was almost cleared he reformed his mask and put it on as he pulled up his hood to keep his identity hidden. He teleported to the top of a street lamp and looked down at the mess below trying to see who or what caused the explosion. When his glance came across a girl 'did she cause this?' was the first thing he began to ask himself in his trail of thought which in turn caused himself to keep his distance from the girl and stay a top of the street lamp.

Rika's eyes scanned the area. She looked up after making out the form of a shadow on the ground to see the masked figure standing on a street lamp.

"Did you cause this? Or do you have any idea of who, or what, did?" she asked, frown never leaving her face as she studied the person, wondering if they had anything to do with the explosion or if they just got there, like her.

Case blushed underneath his mask not being used to being talked to ".....no.......just arrived....." He managed before his tongue became tied and unable to speak.

Mason didn't wait for a response he transformed into hawk and took off towards the explosion. He flew for a few minutes before he came to where the explosion happened. He circled high over head inspecting the explosion when he saw 2 people. "I wonder if the caused the explosion" he thought deciding to circle over head and see what happens.

"I see. Names Rika, Rika Landon. You?" she said, finding it polite to at least introduce herself. She noticed the Hawk circling over head and wondered what it was looking, or waiting, for.

Ivan stood atop a rooftop, still in the city. "That explosion should be no mere coincidence. I sense something is going to happen, and happen soon." Ivan closed his eyes and the wind blew and tossed the tail of his coat around. "Things will change. Maybe even me. Everything we once knew could end up being all worthless. Such is the way of nature. Right now, my calling is to protect. To be a hero. But when will that time come? It could come never, and during that wait, my calling could be changed to that of destruction. Whatever it may be, balance must always be achieved, or else the universe will collapse in on itself." Ivan sighed. Well...maybe he should check the explosion out. Though it could just be bait to lure people into a trap. No harm in looking though.

Ivan stepped off the rooftop and slowly glided to the outside of the city before landing on the ground. He began to walk the rest of the way.
