Hidden Secrets, Untold Tales, and Locked Mysteries(First Criminal: The Dark Mind)

A voice called through the rift agency building to three people. "Agents Brawler, Kamille, and Hanabi, please report to the briefing room. Your final team member has been decided on."

((I will be a completely useless guy in the boss battle. e.e))

"Bah, so they finally thought they'd end our boredom of waiting here, eh? Time to whack some serious ass," Brawler said with a cocky smile on his face. He stood up from the office chair he was sitting on and walked out of the room towards the briefing room.

"Hurry guys, I'm excited for this," he said, taking quick footsteps.

Kamille was starting to make some poison when he heard the anouncement,"Great." he said "wonder who it is." and headed towards the briefing room.

Hanabi put down the book she was reading and stood up for her spot in the corner. She then walked slowly toward the briefing room. She was in no hurry to meet the new team member. After all, who ever it was has interrupted her reading. "Probably some stupid brute" she said to herself. Hanabi filed her eyes and continued on her way.

When the three arrived, Mia, the head scientist from Sonic's world, and a green hedgehog, was holding a notebook, her glasses on her face. Next to her stood a silver-haired teenager with a sword on his back. "The three of you get to work with the new kid. And I mean it. He's 14."

Xero just facepalmed. "Hey there. The name's Xero."

Kamille looked at Xero "Hmmm,,, you don't look weak. Name's Kamille but call me Toxic."

Brawler eyed Xero, seemingly doubting his skills. "Brawler," he introduced.

Hanabi stared at the boy. Then she simply nodded at Xero. There was no name exchange becuase she felt it wasn't important.

Mia turned around and looked at a screen, pressing a button on a remote as she grabbed it from her pocket. "View the screen. Before we begin, I'm sure you're all aware of our top agent, Connor, and his fall to the Dark Mind. Well, we've located our enemy. And you four are being sent after him." On the screen, a destroyed city appeared. In the city was a lone standing black building with no windows. "We can get you outside the city's ruins, but if you encounter any danger inside, we won't be able to help." She turned to face the four. "This could be the toughest enemy you've ever faced, but I trust in your abilities to succeed. Be careful." Before they could respond, they were surrounded by a blue light, and were soon outside the city from the picture...Video...Whatever it was,

Xero waited on the rest of the team. He was new, so he figured the others would take the lead.

"What."

Brawler looked around his surroundings, startled by the sudden teleportation. "Psh, so quick."

When the others arrive, Brawler would ask, "So, who takes the lead?"

Kamille honestly didn't care who lead he then pulled out his poison blaster. "I care only that we get this mission done, who ever wants to lead can lead."

Hanabi pointed at the new guy. "Him" she said bluntly. She wanted to see what Xero could do so why not let him lead.

"Just my luck to get stuck with the team that hides behind a teenager." He chuckled as he walked forward, pulling out a cell phone. He opened it and dialed as he walked. "Hello? Nah. Really? Well, how about that. Anyway, gotta go, bye." He closed the phone and put it back in his pocket. The building was in from of them, as it wasn't far from the edge of the city.

"Won't that be a good approach? Enemy sees you as the leader, enemy would think your allies are weak. Then they're up for a big surprise, right guys," Brawler asked. At the same time, trying to fill his friends with confidence.

"You're in for a big surprise if you think I'm not able to match your strength." Xero tapped his sword. "This thing isn't far from being made from the very energy of the element of light. Besides, would I have been hired if they thought I couldn't be of use?" He laughed, as he grabbed his blaster, pointing it at the door. He fired, leaving a small hole. He kicked it in, and opened it enough for everyone to get inside.

Hanabi walked into the building. Her steps were quiet and light. She then began wait for the others to walk in. Hanabi then looked at the boy. ' Just as I thought, he is one of those stuck up kids' she thought to herself.

Brawler walked in. Nothing else to do right now.

Kamille walked in and looked around. Nothing he could do yet so he started mixing some of his poisons together

Xero approached an elevator, pressing the button to get it to them. "Talk about easy. Whoever this guy is, he didn't think to bl-"

Just then, he was cut off as the elevator opened, revealing four shadowy people. They each charged at one of the agents.

Xero slashed his sword at one of them, and it soon vanished.

The other three each slashed their claws at the other agents.

Hanabi jumped back quickly, only getting raked by the claws instead of takinfg the full hit. She then growled at tge figure before jumping forward and bringing her sword down on top of the figure's head.

Kamille was caught off gaurd but he jumped backed and picked up his poison blaster and shot the shadow, then picked up his sword.

The three shadows each disappeared, and the elevator was available to travel in.

Xero looked at the team. "We goin' or what?" He got into the elevator, waiting for the others.

Hanabi began to walk towards the elevator, each step she took made her wince from pain. After reaching the elevator she looked at the spot where the claws had raked her body. Instead of the small cut she expect the was a small gash in her chest, just above her belly button. Some blood had began to stream out if the gash but only a little. Hanabi sighed. This was going to be a lot harder than she expected.

Brawler realized how easy they were able to defend themselves against the shadow beings. "Well, if every enemy here was like that, Mia should've just sent me alone then." "That girl," Brawler looked at Hanabi's wound. "That's a nasty wound. I can take mine but she's a girl and her wound might just be the weak link in our team. Why didn't anybody bring bandages or medkits anyway?"

Xero the leader, walked inside the elevator followed by Hanabi. Brawler walked in and stood beside Hanabi, "We should probably bandage that or something. Just to stop the bleeding." Brawler looked at the wound that's on his chest. It's much lesser than Hanabi's wound thanks to the vest he's wearing. But one more attack to his chest would damage his skin directly. Brawler's anger sharply increased his pain tolerance so the wound's pain is lesser.
