The night comes slowly~

"The moon looks on, upon you it's gaze rests. With the stars as witness..." Twilight trailed off from the tuneless little song she vaguely remembered. She glanced down at the Litwick at her feet. The blue flame glowed eerily. "So, let's go train up, shall we?" She asked cheerily as she scanned the horizon for any pokemon.

As the girl walked around, searching for pokemon, a Chatot flew past her. Tot! Tot! Chatot! The pokemon said as he tried to ward of the girl. Its nest was in a tree nearby and felt threatened.

"Oh! A Chatot!" She exclaimed as she scanned the pokemon on her Pokedex.

Chatot : The Music Note Pokemon
It can learn and speak human words. If they gather, they all learn the same saying. It keeps rhythm by flicking its tail feathers like a metronome. It mimics the cries of other Pokémon to trick them into thinking it's one of them. This way they won't attack it.

"Oh. Clever pokemon. Well, it's for training. Litwick, Fire Spin! Then Ember!" She called as the Candle pokemon first released a spiral of flames to try and trap the Chatot in a ring of fire before releasing several small orbs of fire at the bird.

The Chatot flew up into the sky out of the Fire Spin, but moments later it got hit with the Ember. It got angry and charged at the Litwick, its beak glew a bright white color as it was using peck, on its way from the sky to hit the fire type pokemon

Litwick could barely shuffle out of the way, and was blown back by the attack. However, the hardy pokemon immediately got up, grinning despite the pain. The flame on it's head momentarily flared bigger, before returning to normal. It fired another Fire Spin before going for Ember, sticking to the same plan.

Chatot took the attacks and launched back. It got up slowly and used growl on the Litwick, wanting to lower its defense. Its beak then glew a bright white as it prepared its Peck attack, and charged at the Litwick by flying a foot above the ground

(Growl lowers Attack, not Defense.)

Litwick was hit again. Shaking off the damage, it quickly used Ember at close range.

The Ember hit again, Chatot was now weakened enough to be captured as it slowly got up. It wouldn't give up though, again its beak started glowing and it charged at Litwick

Litwick grinned, success now close at hand. Although Twilight didn't particulaly want to capture the Chatot, she didn't like Litwick being so ruthless either. "Just...Ember..." She trailed off as Litwick merrily complied, shooting another orb of fire at the bird, just before getting struck by the Peck.

The ember hit Chatot, it got sent back a few feet, and laid on the ground. The Chatot cried for help to its friends, then unable to move as it passed out. A few moments later, a Sentret jumped out of the tree which the Chatot's nest is in. It saw its friend lying on the ground, and attacked the Litwich with a Quick Attack out of anger.

Twilight had just managed to scoop up the Chatot to put it back up on the tree for it to recover and had noticed the nest. Feeling guilty, she eyed the Sentret. It would make an addition to her team. She hadn't had any time to heal Litwick but it looked up for a battle. Swirling itself around, it released several Embers after getting struck by the Quick Attack.

The Sentret rolled to its right a few times, missing the embers, except for one which hit it straight on its head. It rolled up into a ball, using Defense Curl trying to raise its defense against the quick Litwick.

Litwick was not to be deterred. His trainer was to be. Litwick swivelled its flame, causing it to form a large ring of fire. Hurling the Fire Spin at the Sentret, before trying at another Ember.

The Sentret was hit with the attacks, it fell to the ground, weakened enough to be caught. It tried to get up, slowly pushing up, but it was too weak and kept laying on the ground. It curled up into a ball and used Defense Curl

Twilight readied a pokeball as she waited for the backlash effects of Fire Spin.

Fire Spin's effects kicked in, causing the pokemon to almost faint. It cried out for help, and then another effect kicked in. Sentret fainted, and laid on the ground, ready to be captured.

The girl hurriedly tossed the pokeball, looking around for more pokemon that might suddenly pop up. Then grabbing Litwick, she dashed to the PokeCentre.

Coming out after a couple of minutes, she breathed a sigh of relief. Litwick was okay. She wandered into the grass...

A Lilipup jumped into the trainer's way, Pup! It said with excitement, looking for a battle.

"Aww. Hi there. Excited, aren't you?" Twilight smiled down at the energetic pup as Litwick remained silent.

Lilipup! It said. It then decided to make the first move, and charged with a tackle at Litwick

Litwick was hit and grew angry. Releasing a Smog, it waited a while before releasing a Fire Spin.

The Lilipup got excited as its tackle hit, but then a smog was sent its way, followed by a fire spin. It jumped out of the way of the smog, but the firespin connected, burning it. It then used Leer on Litwick

Litwick frowned. This wasn't so bad. Releasing another Ember, it shook off the defense loss and tried another Smog.

The smog hit Lilipup, poisoning it at the same time. It tried to get up, but soon fell down and fainted.
Litwick gained 20 Experience in total! Litwick is now Level 13! Litwick learned Night Shade!

(Are you sure it was 20? 3x6 is 18.)

Twilight smiled happily before racing to the Centre. Coming out soon, she let out her new Sentret. She would train them both.
