Arceus took the attack, sliding back as it took a good chunk of damage. "I commend your pokemon for starting the battle without your command. However, it should learn to be patient." It didnt' refer to the Giratina as an actual species. It referred to it as just a pokemon. Arceus charged up its claws [if it has claws], and ran towards Giratina with alarming speed, prepared to claw the pokemon. "Also, if you start feeling drowsy, it is of my doing."

"Sleepy..." Artemis trailed off, confused and intrigued. She wasn't feeling any sort of effect at the moment, but couldn't help but be weary of the comment.

Just as Arceus reached him, Nadil suddenly disappeared in a blinding rush of smoke and shadows. He had used his special technique, Shadow Force as the move is called, to both dodge Arceus's attack and reappear right above it. He had another Aura Sphere formed, and launched it with a vengeful fury.

Arceus jumped forward after his attack had failed. looked at Artemis. "You know you want to rest," he said to her, staring her directly in the eyes as he called thunder down after the Giratina.

Suddenly, a fit of drowsiness washed over Artemis, and before she could even brace herself, she fell to the ground as unconsciousness overtook her. Rune hovered over her head, making sure nothing was damaged when she fell to the ground.

Nadil was distracted as his mistress fell, and didn't see the Thunder form in the clouds. By the time he sensed a change in the atmosphere, it was too late, and the blinding flash of electricity struck him, causing him to release another feral screech. He quickly recovered himself, bent on his revenge. He reared back his head and distorted the Earth itself, which shot out at Arceus with odd force, an Earth Power.

Uxie stumbled over to Artemis, her nudging the trainer's head as Arceus jumped up. The earth power that had been sent at him was now aimed towards the trainer, Uxie taking the blow for Rune and heading into a tree. "I'm not to be trifled with you stubborn pokemon," he said, turning to the Giratina as he landed. "And Artemis. You want to wake up now." He turned his head towards his opponent then, using his fierce voice to scream at the pokemon, potentially able to do damage [hyper voice].

Artemis suddenly awoke to the startled cry of Rune and the angry cries of both Lykouleon and Nadil. Lykouleon stood with a protective position over Artemis, Uxie, and Rune and a searing ball of fire formed in his mouth. His eyes were furious, and he didn't regard Arceus with any respect any more . Using innocents to further your own benefits. You are no creature to respect. He made a move as if to join in the fray, but Nadil cut off his path. This was his battle to finish.

He didn't seemed phased by the scream of the great Pokemon, and he made his own screech of challenge. Now, his revenge took hold of a whole new spectrum, revenge for his past wrongdoing and for what Arceus did to his trainer. Another Aura Sphere formed and launched at Arceus, the undodgable move would be the great god's downfall.

Arceus slid back, him closing his eyes a bit as if cringing. He opened them, looking at Reshiram smiling a bit. "Perhaps you would like to fire that little fireball at your friend," he said mockingly, stomping his foot to the ground. He called up the powers of the earth, sending it hurling towards the Giratina. He then turned his attention to Artemis. "You would like to remember your past, wouldn't you Artemis," he asked, seeming to be holding a discussion and battle at the same time. "You know, it's very upsetting..." He was manipulating Artemis a bit, attempting to distract her pokemon. "My leg hurts," Uxie complained to Artemis, her trying to stand but failing, screeching aloud. Arceus' attack had injured her leg.

Lykouleon simply glared at Arceus. Don't test me, you may be powerful, but my strength outdoes even yours. He spread his wings in a sheltered way around Artemis, Uxie, and Rune and stood threateningly at Arceus.

As Artemis was suddenly thrown into her own mind, Tinlet seemed to sense the change from her Pokeball and forced her way out. Looking to the injured Uxie, to Arceus, then to Artemis, she nodded her head. Always getting into trouble, aren't we? she muttered telepathically, walking over to Uxie first. She released a benevolent beam toward the Suicune's injury, a Heal Pulse to help her recover. Then, the walked to Artemis and rested a hand on her trainer's forehead, blocking out whatever Arceus had done with her own Psychic abilities. She made a protective stance along with Lykouleon. Both would protect their trainer and allies while Arceus and Nadil fought.

Nadil managed to float above the Earthly attack, in due part of his Levitate ability in his current form. He created another Aura Sphere and launched it at Arceus, as always, the attack was a guaranteed hit.

Arceus took the incoming attack, not really capable of dodging it. "You know you want a head-on battle, instead of floating up there, or are you scared, you chicken," he said to Giratina, intimidating him before he starting calling thunder down towards the pokemon again. He then turned his head back to Tinlet. "You know you wish to stay in your comfortable ball," he said to her mind. "You know that your trainer is strong enough to hold her own mentally..." He then directed a statement at Artemis. "You can't help but feel unbearable sadness and burden for what you have 'done' to Uxie, your closest friend."

Nadil remained without speaking, and flew out of the range of the incoming Thunder, it was too hard to control to be accurate, and thus easy to dodge when the foe was prepared for it. Finally, he reared back at Arceus and spoke. I do what must be done to avenge myself, I do not stoop as low as to be angered by any of your words. And I especially now won't please you by coming closer. He did take a break from his onslaught of Aura Spheres and instead summoned up another Earth Power directly below Arceus.

Tinlet just shook her head. Your mind powers will not work on me. I have too much control over it myself, and I can protect it from any unwanted intruders. She blocked Arceus's control from reaching Artemis as well. Meanwhile, Artemis was checking Uxie to make sure she was okay.

Arceus had a nice plan for Artemis. "You can't outdo the god of pokemon," he snarled at Tinlet, him jumping away from the earth power as he landed beside them. He struck Tinlet away, grabbing Artemis and putting the thought directly into her heart, to see what would happen as he directed his own earth power at the incoming rocks. The two attacks cancelled each other before Arceus seemed to disappear in an extreme speed, attempting to hit the Giratina before he took Artemis into the middle of the battlefield to suffer.

The thoughts seemed to be too much for even Artemis to bear, and with tear streaked eyes, she cried out and slumped over, passed out. Growling, Lykouleon let out a roar of challenge, and even Uxie barred her teeth at Arceus. Rune huffed angrily, and helped Tinlet back up, and all the Pokemon turned their anger onto Arceus. It wasn't a battle of revenge simply for Giritina any more.

The Extremespeed barreled into Nadil, almost impossible to dodge. He cried out, but before he could retaliate himself, a psychic energy surrounded the Godly Pokemon, trying to hold him in place after he dropped Artemis back to the ground. As quickly as that happened, a mighty rush of bright searing hot blue flames flew at Arceus, a Blue Flare launched by Lykouleon, and a sudden barrage of snow and ice quickly followed, a Blizzard made by Uxie. Even Rune let out a tiny Confusion in her own attack. Seeing the group was now in the battle, Nadil gained a keen determination. He launched another inescapable Aura Sphere.

As all of the attacks were done, Tinlet released her Psychic hold on Arceus while attempting to crush him with it as she did so.

Arceus took the incoming attacks, but he wasn't about to take the confusion. He knew that the pokemon that had sent it was really weak, and he jumped out of the way. "Perhaps you are too weak to battle me," he said to Artemis in her heart. "You want to take up and surrender, for now..."

Artemis cried out, and suddenly jolted awake in the middle of a legendary god and many angry Pokemon. She stood up, and motioned for her Pokemon to step down. "Stop," she said, "there's no use fighting here any more."

Grudgingly, Lykouleon was the first to step down, his dark red eyes still glaring at Arceus, as if daring the Pokemon to continue his own attacks. Uxie slumped back to the ground, and Tinlet knelt at her side, making sure the Suicune was healthy. Rune flew up to Artemis and with a huff, sat on her head with her tiny arms crossed, clearly mad. Nadil roared at Arceus, but he ceased his attacks.

"We've stepped down, now you do the same," she said to Arceus and its trainer.

The trainer disappeared, leaving Arceus to look at Artemis. "Trust me girl, we will meet again. Maybe next time your pokemon won't be so weak, and the fight will continue to stay one on one," he said to her, looking towards the Giratina. "Until then, you can hold your little grudge, childish pokemon." He then turned to give Artemis a final message, it clear he wasn't planning on attacking. "Artemis, perhaps you'll grow stronger too. You're weak, and I'd like to offer a gift."

"What sort of gift?" Artemis asked, biting back a disrespectful comment on exactly how she was 'weak'. After, she returned all but Rune and Lykouleon back to their Pokeballs, and awaited Arceus's reply.

"Just, a gift," Arceus said to Artemis, him walking towards her cautiously. He knew that her pokemon were angry, and they could strike at any given time. He looked at her. "It's a strange gift," he said to her. "But one that'll help you, none-the-less..." He made a small necklace appear around Artemis' neck, it speaking to her head. It was much like a collar, one Arceus could set off at any given time, and just as proof he set it off to make Artemis laugh in joy.

Artemis suddenly felt elated, and couldn't help but burst out laughing. As if sensing that it wasn't something she willingly did, Lykouleon gave a warning growl, and spoke through telepathy. And what would be the use of this gift? he asked with a threatening tone.

Rune hovered in front of Artemis to get a better look. She tapped it in thought, seemed to have came to a conclusion, nodded her head, and took her old position without a word. Her expression remained thoughtful.

"It's nothing you should worry about. It isn't like you can pull it off," Arceus grinned, leaving Artemis and her pokemon be.

Artemis watched Arceus leave, and couldn't help but shed a sigh of relief. She ran her hand along the collar, but couldn't find any way to remove it. "Well," she said, "I guess there's no use dwelling in anything. Let's go." She climbed onto Lykouleon and took off into the air.

She flew until the small clearing of buildings came into view from her sky vantage point. It was obviously Ecruteak City, and she grinned when she saw the figure of the burned tower on the side of town. Diving down, Lykouleon landed next to it, and Artemis hopped off and returned him. "Well Rune, let's see what awaits us inside." She took a determined step inside the tower, unsure of what would be inside.

Inside the tower were a few people, who were sat down to pray and be hopeful. They turned their heads to Artemis when she walked in, the few standing up. "Yes, can we help you," one of them asked her, looking at Rune before turning their attentions back to her.

"I'm, uh, wondering if the legendary beast Raikou still resided here, I heard the legend of its creation." She shifted uncomfortably, not keen on all of the prying eyes. Rune, however, happily jumped from Artemis's head and hovered over to the speaking person, and curiously prodded their head. Artemis didn't want to know what was running her Jirachi's strange thoughts.

Another one of the strangers looked over at Artemis. "I don't see why the legendary beast wouldn't till reside here," the first said to Artemis. "However, I don't think Raikou has been sighted here in the longest time." "Don't lie to the poor girl," the second person said, walking up and looking at Artemis. Something wasn't right about this person, her eyes blank as if possessed. "Raikou will always reside here."

Artemis looked into the blank and dull eyes of the second speaker, and surpressed a shudder. An eerie feeling surged down her spine, but she didn't flinch away or show any sign of her discomfort. "If that's so," she murmured in a soft breath, anything more would reveal the quivering of her voice, "I would like to challenge him. He was born unto the ash of his old life, and I find myself in a similar existence. It seems like a poetic fate to have stumbled across the legend, I can see us as almost kin of losses." She bowed her head, almost surprised by her deep words. Her travels have changed her: made her wiser. Before she had departed Uxie's cave she was an ignorant enthusiast. Now, well now she didn't know what she was.

"Master Raikou doesn't typically take challenges," the woman said to Artemis. "However, he may, for you... You will have to wait," she said, turning around. Her hair was tied with a peculiar string, it having a small thunderbolt on it. The first person looked at Artemis, him sighing. "She's always been an oddball. Sometimes I wonder if her head is turned around right." "Artemis," Uxie said to her trainer in her head. "Follow her."
