Pokemon destiny - Chapter 1: The start of a Journey!

The morning sun was shining down on the small town of Nuvema as a young teenage girl was in her bedroom getting ready to start her journey as she makes does a check run to make sure she has everything she was gonna need for her journey. On her bed was her Tepig, Bacon, who she has had for three years now as Bacon watches his trainer checking off the things that they had.

"Okay...Money, check. Change of clothes, Check. Shampoo and soap, check and check. Bacon's pokeball, check. Trainer Card, check. I think that's everything." Harper said as she closes up her notepad and her pen before putting those two in her bag.

Harper slings her bag over her as Bacon gets off of her bed and they head out of the house where Harper's father, Henry, was outside waiting for her.

"Hi Daddy." Harper greeted.

"Hello there, Harp. Hi Bacon." Henry greeted back with a smile.

"Tepig!" Bacon oinked.

"Are you ready to start your journey?" He asked.

"Sure am, Daddy. I got everything I need to start my journey." Harper said.

"Good, cause Professor Juniper is waiting for you at the lab. That's why I'm here." Henry said.

Harper smiles as her father leads her and Bacon over to Professor Juniper's lab. They head inside the lab as Harper's father tells her and Bacon to wait here while he goes and informs Professor Juniper that his daughter and her Tepig are here.

Professer Juniper nods. "Here are your Pokeballs and Pokedex." She handed over the respective things and swept the lab with her eyes, wondering if she was forgetting something.

Harper takes the pokeballs and she puts them in her bag while she takes the pokedex as she slides it into one of her pockets on her vest. Then she turns to Professor Juniper and her father before speaking.

"Thank you, Professor Juniper. Thank you, Daddy." Harper said.

Henry smiles at his daughter as he pulls her into a hug. But then he suddenly remembers something as he turns to Professor Juniper.

"I believe we forgot about the Xtranciever for my daughter." Henry said.

This surprised Harper as she gasp while Bacon looks at them confused.

"An..Xtranceiver...of my own?" Harper asked slowly.

(What's an Xtranceiver?)

"Ah yes." She nodded and walked over to the table, handing the said item to the girl.

(It's a way to communicate in black and white. plus, with it. in the game, after you beat the first gym leader and saved the Mannu from Team Plasma, you'll be able to visit a place called the dream world.)

Harper smiles as she happily took the Xtranceiver. Then she gently but happily hugs Professor Juniper before turning and hugging her father more. Henry laughs as he hugs her daughter back.

"Thank you, Professor! Thank you, Daddy!" Harper said.

"You're welcome, sweety." Henry said.

(Ah, okay. Never played Black and White :/ )

Juniper nodded, smiling. "Now go out there! The world awaits!" She encouraged.

Harper smiles as Henry lets go of his daughter. With that, Harper and Bacon bids farewell to Professor Juniper and her father. Henry waves back as Harper and her Tepig exits the lab.

"My daughter is growing up.." Henry said with a smile.

Juniper chuckled before quietly retreating to the depths of the lab.

A rustling of grass nearby signalled an encounter. (If you want one.) A Phanpy rolled out of the bushes, got to it's feet and ambled around, unaware of the trainers presence.


Level 6

As Harper waits by the sign post that leads to Route 1, she took notice of the phanpy. Bacon smiles as he also notice the Phanpy. But Harper had promised to wait on her childhood friend, Percival, before adventuring into the route as she and her Tepig watches the elephant pokemon.

Percival scrambled out of his house with Capricus on his head and a bag on his shoulder. It was obvious to see that he had been rushing due to a stray hair or two in his hair. He made his way over to Harper, having already been to Professor Juniper earlier, with the Xtranceiver in his hand. As he patted down his hair, slowly stopping next to his friend, he looked at the Phanpy. "Hey. You didn't have to wait for me to catch it y'know."

Harper turns to see Percival had caught up to her. She giggles as she watches him pat his hair down. Bacon scampers over to Capricus and he greeted him.

"Hey, it's okay. I didn't want to start the adventure without anyway. After-all, I'm not one to break promises." Harper said.

Harper turns to the Phanpy as Bacon comes over to his trainer. She was wondering if she should catch it or let Percival catch it.

"So...You want me to catch it or do you want to catch it?" Harper asked.

Percival smiled and dropped Capricus down from his head onto the ground to enjoy himself doing something. "Alright." He nodded and looked at the little elephant Pokemon. While he rather wanted the Phanpy, Harper had found it first. So it was only fair that he allowed her to choose. "Well milady," He joked. "Since you found it first, you should be allowed to decide which of us gets it. It's only fair." He grinned.

Harper looks at the Phanpy and then back at Percival as she thought. Phanpy would be a good choice, but Harper thinks this one would be more for Percival than for her. So with that decided, Harper turns to her friend with a smile.

"I think you should catch it. The pokemon seems more for you than for me anyway." Harper said.

Percival grinned. "Thanks Harp." He gave her a thumbs up then squatted down to Capricus's height. He pointed to Capricus, then to the Phanpy. The little Oshawott nodded, striking it's Scalchop twice to signify it's understanding. Then it went over to the elephant Pokemon. Watching from a distance, he paid attention to the exact posture of both Pokemon. He just wanted Capricus to talk to the Phanpy. And if it attacked, to Tackle it.

The Phanpy seemed to listen and understand what both of them were talking about. It grew wary as soon as it saw the Oshawott close it. It kept it's eyes on the scalchop of the Sea Otter pokemon as it stood rooted to the spot.

Capricus pointed at Phanpy. "Osha, oshawott. Wott wott, Osha. Oshwott, wott Oshawott Osha wott." He said, making a point by motioning to the Phanpy, then to Percival, then to itself. It basically explained that Percival is a good person who could make Phanpy stronger than it's ever been. After making his point, Capricus waited for the Phanpy's response.

Phanpy patiently waited until it's volley of cries was over and already in it's misty little mind it was making a clear picture of what exactly the Oshawott was trying to say. It flapped it's ears, trying to make up it's mind. Sure, it wanted to be strong. Without giving it a second thought, it agreed with typical childish innocence. Nodding it's head, it pranced over to Percival, and twining it's small trunk around his leg, lifted him in the air, thanks to it's gargantuan strength, all the while crying out happily.

Capricus, who was proud of what he had done, sauntered back over to his Trainer. Meanwhile, Percival was lifted off of the ground by the young Phanpy. He laughed almost nervously. "Whoa there. We still gotta get you in one of these." He went into his backpack and pulled out a Pokeball, showing it to Phanpy with a smile.

"Phan?" It eyed the pokeball. It cocked it's head, wondering if it had ever seen that thing before. Deciding it hadn't, it stretched it's nose upwards, flexing it, falling short by several meters, looking like a cat or something begging for a treat. It wanted a good look at it before it would decided.

Percival lowered the hand with the Pokeball in it toward Phanpy so it could get a look. He hoped that it would accept his offer. Capricus sat down and waited for Phanpy to act toward this gesture.

The pokemon twined it's trunk around the pokeball. It closely inspected it, nearly had it slipping out of it's grip, tried tapping it against the ground. It spied the little white button and poked it, not pressing it nearly hard enough. Satisfied, it handed it back to the trainer.

Percival took the Pokeball back into his hand from Phanpy's trunk. "So would you like to join me and Capricus? It's all up to you." He said, calmly as possible. Capricus nodded and tapped the middle of his scalchop, creating a blunt thump noise to emphasize this exact motion. Percival held the Pokeball at the ready.

It happily nodded with a cheerful "Phan!".

With a grin, Percival threw the Pokeball at Phanpy. It sucked the elephant Pokemon in with a flash of light.

Phanpy stood still as it was absorbed into the void. It shook feebly once before clicking.
