Passing Through! [SHADOW ONLY]

Ace Apex along with Mega, the Druddigon and Blade, the Scyther head towards Pewter. In order to reach Pewter, they must pass through Viridian Forest. A forest full of bugs and Bug Catchers along with other Trainers. This forest is very dangerous as it is full of poisonous Weedles and annoying Beedrills. Both of Ace's two Pokemon are in there Pokeball.

As Ace tries to find his way out of the forest which seems like a maze, Pokemon and Trainers lurk around.

OOC: To moderators, feel free to give me either a wild Pokemon or a Trainer.

As Ace was walking through the forest he would suddenly find a bright yellow spider pokemon dangling right in front of his face. The Joltik would swing back and forth from it's webbing as it performed little flips and spins for the trainer in front of him. It was after all one of his favorite hobbies to impress passing trainers and their pokemon, hence the reason he could perform such complicated acrobatics. Though he was small, he was quite impressive to watch. The Joltik wondered just how this trainer would respond, considering he had seen many different kinds in his lifetime.


A Wild Joltik ♂ (Level 11) appeared!

Ace's eyes widened seeing a Joltik in Kanto and he didn't knew they are really small. He watched the Joltik as it almost flew around like Spider Man. He sort of finds it hard to keep track of the very small Joltik. The Pokemon could be adorable but he has to think like a Trainer. "I could use an Electric Type against Misty soon... but he is part Bug. It's useless to have both types... Oh well, I could always remove him in my battle team and just be a pet of mine if I ever find a just Electric Pokemon." he thought. "How do I capture something this small...?" he asked himself with his thoughts. "No wait... I don't want to battle this one." he thought as he smiled at the Joltik. He turns around and opens the zipper of his backpack trying to reach a sachet full of small Pokefoods. He takes the sachet out and checks if it really is a Pokefood, it is. He zips his bag again and takes out a small Pokefood and offers it to the Joltik.

OOC: lol Joltik, the tiny electric ninja spider

Joltik's eyes focused in on the pokefood and it swung out to take it happily. This was new. Most trainer's just chose to run at the site of him, other's instantly sought out to step on him. It seemed this trainer was different. Joltik scarfed the small bit of pokefood down almost instantly, letting out a happy sort of clack. He then managed to work his way up to Ace's shoulder so that Ace could see him better and he jumped, clacking as he asked for more food if it could be given.

Ace stared at the little Joltik. This was his first time seeing something as small as a Joltik upclose! He smiled and adored the adorable Pokemon. This was also his first time seeing a kind... "wild" Pokemon. He moves his other hand next to Joltik wherein it holds the sachet full of diced Pokefood enough for something as small as him. He offers Joltik to eat freely in any way he wants. Either go inside the sachet and eat around it or do it one by one.

The Joltik decided another tactic for getting the food. He used string shot to draw out a small clump of pokefood once more showing his many talents. He nibbled on that for a while before he found himself quite full and very happy. After all, it doesn't take much to fill up such a small pokemon. This trainer was by far one of the nicest he had met. Perhaps it would be in his best interest to stay with him. He just wondered if the trainer would want him though. Joltik decided to clack this very question to the trainer.

Ace has this weird talent to understand what Pokemon are saying. He smiles as he put the sachet with leftover food back to his pocket. He grabs a Pokeball and puts it near the Joltik waiting for the Joltik and wanting to see if it will demonstrate yet another adorable style to get inside a Pokeball which is a very usual scene.

Just to add a little flare to this particular catching the Joltik shot out a string of webbing onto the side of the pokeball before proceeding to swing in small circles, gradually building in speed, around the pokeball until it was covered in a light layer of sticky webbing. After that was finished he flung himself onto the center button of the pokeball and latched on. He was then drawn in by the small red beam and drawn into the ball. It's shaking was very minimal, hardly noticeable at all. It was more of a twitch than anything else. After three small little twitches the button stopped glowing red and Joltik was capture.

Joltik has joined your team!

"Interesting... I wonder if he will even get hit in battle..." Ace thought with a smile as he put the Pokeball back to its place along with Blade and Mega. He proceeds onwards as he think of a name. A couple of minutes later, he manages to find the way out the forest but decides not to exit yet. He walks back more wondering if something else interesting will show up or happen. In that time, he also managed to think of a name. He is gonna name Joltik, "Rainobi". Rai means "Thunder" while the "Nobi" is the word "Shinobi" which means ninja, combined with the word, Rai. He goes on walking around waiting for either a Pokemon or a Trainer to show up...

OOC: ugh, college preparation is awful. I've barely had time to breathe. Finally getting caught up on posting. Sorry for the wait.

A trainer that was also passing through the forest came upon Ace just after he had caught the Joltik. It was a boy who looked to be about 7 or 8 dressed in a plain white shirt, blue shorts, sandals, a sunhat, and was carrying around a net. As soon as he spotted Ace he started to run at him. "Hey You! The name's Jeremy! I bet my pokemon could take you down no problem! So are you gonna battle me or are you gonna run away like a scared little torchic?" It seemed this kid really was a snot nosed little brat asking to be beaten. He only had one pokemon on him though, meaning Ace could have the advantage in this situation.

Bug Catcher Jeremy has challenged you!

OOC: Like I said feel free to post only when you can. :) Good luck whatever that is anyway. I'm still two years until college so I don't know how hard it's gonna be.

"Such words against someone with one Pokemon..." Ace thought that probably this kid has something behind his sleeves. "Do all Bug Catchers wear the same clothes?" Ace joked trying to at least befriend this one as he failed to befriend the previous trainer as she ran off. "Anyway, let's see how Joltik does in a battle." he said taking the newly caught Joltik out. "Huh?" he turned on his pocket as he feel his cellphone vibrate. He takes it out and he has a new message, he reads it and it is from his mother and it says:

"Hi Ace, ur dad and I wshes u a Hppy Bday. R gift is a srprse, get it in any PC in any PKMN Cntr. Take care n show dem wut yar made of!"

He smiles as he just remembered that today was his birthday all along! Why did Mega never greeted him? That's a question. Back to the match, he takes Joltik out as the spider fired webbings around and spun until he is in an upside-down position staring at the foe Trainer.

"That pose... It's like Spiderman's upside-down pose specially that legs upwards..." Ace thought.

Jeremy seemed a bit confused when the opposing trainer mentioned his state of dress. Other people dressed like this? He'll have to consider a new style. When he heard the trainer call out a Joltik his eyes grew wide. He'd always wanted to see one, but they were very hard to spot. As it was released, he realized why. He knew that he would need a pokemon with a keen sight. This caused him to smirk. "Alright, you caught me by surprise there, but I've got some back up. Come on Yanma!" The yamna came out and instantly started moving in a rapid zig zag pattern form of flight. It's attention seemed to lock onto the Joltik with precision. "Alright, we're ready to go. Let's see what ya got." Jeremy seemed to say this in an overly confident manner, but obviously a battle could go any way.

Bug Catcher Jeremy sent out Yanma (male, level 15)!

OOC: It's stronger than any of my Pokemon. I like this. :D

"Sort of a bigger Yanma. Probably stronger than any of my Pokemon." said Ace. Rainobi's ability Compoundeyes will make things easier for him specially if he's fighting a flying foe. "Can you even fly with your wings stuck? String Shot!" said Ace. The Joltik fired a web to a closer tree and again swung around and firing sticky strings! Ace is not really the one to go for a non-offensive attack at the beginning of a match but maybe he's planning something or trying to see how good this Joltik is.

Jeremy smirked at the yellow pokemon and his trainer. His yanma wasn't going to be a sitting duck, that just wasn't their thing. "Alright Yanma, counter with Double Team!" Yanma started to increase it's wing speed, allowing quick rapid movements. It was moving so fast it appeared to be multiple versions of itself, most likely making it harder to see which one was real. As an added benefit, it would allow Yanma to avoid the incoming string shots. "You'll need to move faster than that to keep up with us." Jeremy crossed his arms, keeping up the appearance that this battle was already in his favor.

"Attack the Yanma without a shadow!" said Ace. "It's an illusion so it therefore does not exist and should not have a shadow." he thought. Joltik kept swinging around and understood what Ace said but he did not give an attack, he's waiting for an order. He's getting confused with the illusions though but managed to spot the one without a shadow, probably the real one. "Hate being in a fight with two Pokemon flying..." thought Ace. "Thunder Wave." Good move. If it hits, Yanma gets paralyzed and might have a chance not to move for a moment of time. The Joltik let out small waves of electricity towards the Yanma as it swung around it.

Yanma, having let it's guard down since Double Team had normally worked out for him, was a little shocked when it felt of volt of electrical energy surge through him. The little stunts that the Joltik were performing weren't exactly making this easy for him either. "Come on Yanma! Don't let a little pip squeak like that take you down! Go at him with a Quick Attack! That'll show 'em!" Yanma seemed to want to obey his trainer's order, but he found his muscles would not respond properly. He would need to spend time trying to get his body working like it should before he could attack again. For now though it seemed he was just a sitting target.

"I knew that would put the odds in our favor. Time to lower the defense, Screech!" said Ace. The Joltik swung around the Yanma, this time he's closer. He made annoying noises which composed of buzzing, hissing, screams and screeches on an attempt to lower Yanma's defense.

Yanma seemed rather annoyed by the noises coming from the small spider pokemon. He grew more angered by the fact that he couldn't move. His defense seemed weaker now that his annoyance level was raised. He squrimed around a bit until he found himself slighly able to attack again. "That's it Yanma! Now use quick attack!" Yanma flew with a bit of difficulty, yet still managing a decent speed, at the Joltik, aimed to inflict some damage on the small target.

Joltik gets hit, he has a lot of chance avoiding that but the Yanma is too big for his size so the collision threw him to a tree and caused a good amount of damage. "Hah, playtime's over. Now Spider Web!" said Ace. Joltik then again swung around the Yanma unleashing spider webs!

OOC: Don't really know how Spider Web works in the anime and don't know how much damage they cause as I've never played Pokemon Black and White.

OOC: Spider Web prevents the user from using another pokemon. So the current one is pretty much stuck until it either faints or wins. For the most part, it just coats them in sticky webs.

Yanma did a happy little air flip as a result of his success but then flew into a direct path of advanced web work. More than he was comfortable with. The webbing didn't exactly make it harder to move, it was more or less just an inconvenience. "Yanma, you're getting covered in goop and you're still affected by that little zap? What are you, a wimp? Come on, hit him with a supersonic!" Whether it was the paralysis still effecting him, or the webs, or even his trainer's brash personality, Yanma did not move from his place as he watched the Joltik swing around. It almost seemed like he wanted the other pokemon to win just to show his trainer that being cocky isn't always the best tactic.

OOC: Thanks. Just realized Joltik doesn't have that much of attacks right now.

"That's enough, Joltik. I'm sorry but you don't have that much of a move to deal some good damage but you've done well in weakening the foe's stats." said Ace returning the small Pokemon. He switches Druddigon out who spun his head around and roared feeling the excitement of another battle. "Bite." commanded Ace. The Mega the Druddigon simply hopped towards the Yanma, jaws spread wide and ready for a Bite.
