Avoidence

Destiny was the one that had lead them here. Miracle was still downcaste from a few days beforehand and Destiny figured the beach would cheer her sister up. "I thought you'd love this place." Destiny says under a big black umbrela herself even though it was nice and sunny outside. "I do, thanks sis." Miracle says but all she was doing was sitting in the sunshine looking at the different seashells scattered about. "Why not make a necklace?" Destiny suggests though a bit grudgingly knowing if her sister did she'd be the one wearing it.

John stood on the beach, staring out at the peaceful ocean. He loathed it. Taunted by it's calming waves, it was the ultimate peace. Something he longed for instead of confusion between black and white, the evil and the good. He had been throwing stones for some time, pondering on these thoughts. He was aware that the beach itself wasn't entirely empty, and decided to walk.

John took notice to two girls. Identical, in a way. His eyes, found themselves being rubbed furiously to decipher the mystery behind the two girls. I've heard the rumours, could they be similar to me then, mixed blood and destiny, he thought, unable to comprehend the situation. He began to approch them at his own pace.

"Alright" Miracle says collecting a bunch of shells quickly. She sits under the umbrela next to her sister and starts stringing the shells into a necklace. It was quite a odd assortment of shells she was using but she still managed to make a pattern out of them. "Here you go" Miracle says when she was done and puts the necklace on Destiny. Destiny lets her since she knew it'd help her sister cheer up. Neither noticed the stranger yet

John looked at them. He questioned how they could not feel the weight of society looming over them when people stared. He questioned how they, despite obviously being of difference in some area that mattered, were getting along. He walked closer, coming to a stop. He put on a grin and looked up.

"Nice day to be at the beach, isn't it?", he asked them.

Miracle looks up at the boy. "Yes it is quite a lovely day." Miracle says cheerfully feeling much better already. "If you say so. To bright to me." Destiny sighs, she was only here to cheer her sister up. Sure she wanted her sister to be like her but her sister being all gloomy and sad wasn't what she wanted.

John found himself unable to think. At least what to say to them. He focused more on what they were doing than what they looked like. He noticed the shells that formed a necklace around Destiny's neck. "The shells are lovely, aren't they?", he asked them, not so directy. He found his smile was replaced by a dull expression of boredom.

"So, are either of you Aura trainers?", he asked out of curiosity.

"Well, not trainers so to say. I'm a aura master." Miracle says seeming to get a bit uncomfortable since the subject turned to that. "I'm a dark aura master." Destiny says getting mad rather then uncomfortable. What was it to him what they were, they hadn't been doing anything but sitting on the beach and they were only here because Miracle had been upset by thd last aura trainers they met.

"Great. You could say I've been looking for people. Unique people, with unique views on the aura trainers and dark counterparts.", John stated. He looked from one girl, then to the other. "I am John Breed. My mother was, in fact a dark aura user, where my father was light. I've been searching for people who don't quite know their place in all of this.", John added slowly, thinking as he spoke.

"I think we could get along quite well...", he began.

Miracle and Destiny looked at eachother then back at John. "I doubt they hunted your family down and killed them though." Destiny says getting up. Miracle scrambles to follow her sister as they girl picks up the umbrela and starts walking off. Best just avoid others, it always ended in trouble

John winced. "That doesn't mean I don't want a shade of grey. Against this lame black and white background, somewhere there must be a gray. My mother killed my father. Tried to kill me. You're both outcasts. I'm an outcast.", he said to them. John was either frustrated, or in a very somber mood. Perhaps both. He rubbed his eyes gently and sat down.

"But go, at least I'm trying to make a difference for people like us.", John pouted on the ground, playing with a shell on the ground before him.

"You'll find that a hard task. Your actually the first we've met who's mixed blood. We're all that's left, our mother and father truely loved eachother and gave their lives trying to protect us. If it wasn't for. . . . . that they would have failed." Miracle says in almost a whisper starting to tear up again. "What my sister is trying to say is we got lucky and discovered something only the two of us together have. It enabled us to defeat those of both kinds sent to kill us. But my sister isn't into violence so she is very tender on that subject." Destiny says though what had happened that day had also scared her somewhat as well she wouldn't show it easy

John stood up. Words did not leave his mouth. He turned away. He didn't speak, allowing the rage deep within him to seethe out of him. He took a deep breath and sighed. "You can just keep going if you want. I won't force you to agree with me.", John said to them. He seemed distraught at his current dilemma, and what they thought about him.

"If you want to stay and talk, I certainly don't mind.", he commented quietly.

"I have a question for you. Can you use the abilities of both kinds? Despite which path you have chosen?" Destiny asks wondering if he was really like them. Both sisters had the ability to use both sets of powers despite the paths they had picked. Destiny wanted to know if that was just them, because of what they could do or if it was because of their mixed blood. For all she knew it was because of their bond and that the separate paths had ended with them sharing abilities

John had to think for a moment. "I've never... used my powers. Not unless my mother forced me to practice only what she taught. She would not let my father teach me.", John answered carefully, shuddering at the thought of his mother and father. "I don't know how to really differentiate the abilities. I might also add I never chose my own path, my mother forced me dark.", he stated to them.

He could see the tide coming in. Between the few marine pokemon one could spot in the shallow water, and the empty darkness further out. To the ocean scenery, John, Destiny and Miracle were miniscule. There was a calming breeze in the air, pushing the warmth generated by the bright sun onto John's skin. He found pleasure in this.

His rea was warm, mostly from the sand he was seated on. The feeling he had, something of a distraction to the outside world's evil and darkness, good and light. A real shade of grey.

"We can use both, we never figured out why." Destiny says looking at Miracle. "We're also stronger together, our abilities increase quite a bit. Even the lunaris couldn't hide herself once we were together." Miracle says starting to tear up once again. "It's alright sis" Destiny says trying to stop the waterworks before they really got started

John found his mind wandering through question after question. He closed his eyes and tried to force it away, not wanting to think in the grey shae he discovered. The soothing wind wasn't gone, but it wasn't enough. Even the help from the constant tide. Nothing could wash away the questions his parents raised. He reached fowards after standing, and plucked an object from the ground.

It was thorny, and John took his careful time removing each one. Even when he got pricked, it didn't stop him. When he finally removed them all, he smiled at the red rose. Not a blue violet. Not artificially altered. Pure, it's form was pure. Excluding the missing thorns of course. It was then John took to noticing Miracle's crying.

John approched her, holding the rose out carefully. "Such a beautiful and delicate women shouldn't cry. She should be strong and embrace herself, and find comfort in those around her.", John stated, genuinely smiling. "A rose, for you of course.", he said to the one who was tearing up. He had meant every word he said, in a polite way of course.

He then glanced to Destiny. "Only the shadows that dance at night can compliment both your attitude and beauty. Truely the moon is something you deserve as a gift.", he sad to her, unsure whether he meant it or not.

"Th-thank you." Miracle says taking the rose gently. "You shouldn't remve the thorns though, that's the rose's why of protecting itself." she says gently holding the rose channeling a bit of aura in it helping it regrow the thorns. "Even though they might hurt they are part of the rose." Miracle says wiping her tears.
"No, it's twilight that compliments us. When light and dark are in harmony and the world starts to rest." Destiny says looking up at the changing colors of the sky. The night was great for her, just as day was for her sister. But twilight was the time between, when both sides were balenced

John couldn't smile after Destiny spoke. "I never complimented you both as one. I understand you are a pair after all, but you each are strong on your own as well.", he spoke calmly again, at peace from the breeze and sound of water rushing in, only to leave. Pokemon scuttled about in the swallow water. Many people had began to leave the beach.

John didn't care. In fact, there was only one thing he couldn't stop focusing on. And it was her. Seemingly innocent. Inteligent and careful. Concerned and thoughtful. He let his mind remain open. He couldn't exactly think clearly. "Concealed behind it's beauty is still a weapon.", John stated, commenting about the rose's thorns.

John didn't take notice to the changing color pattern within the sky above his head. His mind was, still elsewhere. Engorged in an obessession of sorts. He placed a hand on his face, and winced. He looked at them, fearful in his right eye, the only visible eye. "As nice as this is, I predict a storm coming. May I escort you both to the Pokemon Centre?", he asked them.

"It's nice of you to offer but. . . " Miracle starts. "But we don't stay in the pokemon center." Destiny says shifting her attention. "We should be going sis, before the storm comes." Destiny says. "Storms are violent too but they have a beauty as well. Just as beauty hides a weapon when it comes to roses, storms hide a beauty in the weapon." Miracle says making Destiny sigh. "You see the good in everything, even if it's not there." Destiny complains as they start walking. "You can come along." Miracle says to John stopping enough to talk to him but Destiny kept walking making Miracle not be able to stop long

John nodded and smiled. "Not every storm. It takes the right storm. Mix some disharmony here, some chaos there, and you have an ugly storm of the truth.", John of course, was talking about the truth of society. "You know something I think, despite the shit we think is good, we all have evil in us. Even those really goody-goody aura trainers.", John said spitefully, well-aware that Miracle was an Aura trainer. "No offense to you, of course.", he said afterwars.

"But if it's the right storm, where the lights dance, and the sky cries. The murky beauty of charcoal paintings. I myself, am not a large fan of storms.", he said. He looked back to the beach, and John could see it. The restless wind, erriely scratching at the sand and water. The formation of the inky clouds high above their heads.

"So, this Lunaris you mentioned. What is it?", John asked them, clueless about it.

"The last of her kind from what we've heard. Legends say it had been a mighty race of dragons who were true masters of aura and that they were born knowing it. They were said to be old and wise and some kind but most prefered staying away from people." Miracle says. "But those are just legends. Apparently they were supposed to have been hunted to extinction and the last one killed fifty or so years ago but a few years ago one popped up, she's supposed to be the last of her race now. Dark Aura Trainers and other factions had been trying to get their hands on her but not sure now. We met her a few days ago after she had had a big fight with a dark aura trainer." Destiny says but doesn't stop walking. "She seemed tired, like all she wanted to do was rest." Miracle says after being thoughtful a moment

John sneered in disgust. "Dirty things. That's what they sound like. True masters of Aura? I'll believe it when they can destroy the ability to utilise Aura.", John stated in a flash of anger. Perhaps out of spite that such a being actually exists. John's face contorted as he felt the release of rain splashing down his face, through his hair.

He smiled now, somewhat mellow. Unlike before at the beach, John was unable to let go of the rage, and swallowed it instead. But it dawned on him that she had needed to rest. "This is where thought is important. If she needed to rest, why would the Dark Aura Trainers attack in an amount where she wouldn't be able to defend herself?", John questioned as he kept up with them.

Anyway, John knew there was no point in speaking of this creature. "So, I told you my name, may I have yours?", he asked, noticing that they were approching the pokemon centre.

"I am Miracle." Miracle says though she was looking up watching the rain fall. "Not that it matters." Destiny says as she starts walking in a different direction then the pokemon center. "My sister's name is Destiny. I take it this is goodbye? My sister doesn't like the centers and I stay with her so. . . " Miracle says looking back and forth between her sister and John though Destiny kept walking away. "You can come with us but you'd probably more comfortable at the pokemon center."

John shrugged. "I've never cared for them. I just suggested it, mostly due to it's nature for being... well, dry.", he stated. He looked at Destiny while she walked off, shrugging a feeling he didn't like away. "It'd be a pleasure, to stay in the Pokemon Centre. But I'll find much more excitement with you and your sister, Miracle.", he finishes the sentence quickly, knowning that Miracle would probably like to keep up with her sister.

"Ok, we'd enjoy the company. We've never traveled with anyone else before." Miracle says grabbing John's hand and pulling him along as she caught up with Destiny. "Did you hear that Destiny? He's going to come with us." Miracle says excitedly. "Hooray" Destiny says but more gloomy then happy. But if it kept her sister's spirits up she'd put up with him
