Personality
Rue was different compared to his fellow townsmen and women; everyone in his hometown is energetic,social, and full of life. Rue, on the other hand is shy, awkward around people and has very low self-esteem. Rue sometimes felt like he was misplaced, like he didn't belong in the town that was full of life. He is definitely a lot weaker than those is his town and often times needs help with lifting or moving things and it embarsses him to no end. Due to his frail, weak form, he became an easy target for bullies.

Despite all this, Rue still remains strong and positive. His adoptive parents and their Pokemon do all they can to support him. Rue loves to spend time with his family and the family’s pokemon, and often times stays at home helping around the house rather than going outside and playing with other kids his age. One of his biggest fears is failing and letting down his whole family, he alway puts them first even if it will end up killing him.

Rue hates people who think they are above the law or are ignorant just because they have a strong pokemon team or have never lost. He hates trainers who abuse their Pokemon or use them as items to take advantage of others. This counts bullies as well, He normally ignores these people because of his timid nature and keeps these opinions to himself; Anger comes naturally to him and when he dos get angry he keeps it hidden because he knows that even when he shows he's angry he doesn't look intimidating, he is not afraid to intervene if someone needs help and would use himself as a distraction to give the victim a chance to escape. The reason he tries so hard to protect others from bullies because he knows the pain of being on the receiving end of that abuse and the pain it caused him though out his life, He doesn't want anyone to go though that pain. Rue is very good at battling but his timid nature get in the way and often times he ends up losing most of them. When they lose a battle he blames himself because of his hesitation. He makes sure his pokemon don't feel bad when they do lose and gives them pep talks. When rue encounters a wild pokemon he'd rather gain their trust, He will resort to battling as a last resort.

Battle Style:
Rue prefers using strategies that can end a battle quickly by causing his opponent's stat problems such as paralysis then using fast pokemon to end the battle.Rue is very good at battling but his timid nature get in the way and often times he ends up losing most of them. When they lose a battle he blames himself because of his hesitation. He makes sure his pokemon don't feel bad when they do lose and gives them pep talks. When rue encounters a wild pokemon he'd rather gain their trust, He will resort to battling as a last resort.

Past Experience/ History
Rue’s genetic parents were young teens who didn’t plan on having a child so early in life, and in order to keep the pregnancy a secret Rue’s mother had him in the forest and then abandoned him in Pallet Town, leaving him in a small box near the path that led into the forest. Rue, of course, cried when he felt the absence of his mother and the cold wind hitting him. Rue was lucky, however, because on this chilly day, a couple had been walking, talking about how they could adopt a child since they couldn't have their own. That's when they heard Rue’s cries and found him in his little box just down the path. The couple took him to the hospital and were relieved to find that he would be ok, despite his sickly pale skin and small size. They kept him overnight just in case. The couple, Mrs. Ivan Sparks and Mrs. Susan Sparks decided that they would adopt Rue, so Mrs. Sparks stayed with tiny Rue while Mrs. Sparks went to buy things that necessary for their new baby.

Rue had grown to be very different from the other children. Even as a child, he was shy when around others, but would try his best to be more social and make at least a few friends. Unfortunately, it would always fail. At the age of five, he had his first bully. He would often come home with a black eye or bruises, and due to his timid nature, he wouldn't fight back. Because of this daily abuse, his health deteriorated and soon developed anxiety and he would get frequent panic attacks. His parents had enough and would either assign Mrs. Sparks Manectric, Spark, or Mrs. Sparks Ampharos, Thunder, to protect Rue as he came back, or went, to school.

Despite this, Rue, still remained happy. He trusted and bonded more with Pokemon due to the mistreatment he received from others. He felt comfortable around Pokemon, especially electric types. He had noticed since he was little, that he felt more connected to electric types than other Pokemon. At the age of seven, Rue saw trainers starting their journeys, first going to Professor Oak’s lab, then coming out with either a Squirtle, Bulbasaur, or Charmander. He later found out that they were Pokemon trainers, starting their journey and traveling to many places bonding with their pokemon as they went. Rue was instantly enchanted by this and confronted his parents about it. Mrs and Mrs. Sparks were reluctant to let him go at first, but rue had put up a good argument he explained that maybe what he needed was to step out of pallet town, explore the world and hopefully make some friends along the way. they had never seen Rue so excited about something and they realized that they had to let their little boy go some day. They couldn't keep him safe forever, and it was settled, When he reached his 10th birthday, he would set out on his journey.

At the age of 8, Rue's first pokemon was thunder-lily the pichu, rue's mother had been looking for berries in the near by forest with her sparky when she stumbled upon the egg that held thunder-lily, she waited the whole day but the mother or father never came back. Rue's mother brought back the egg and gave the egg to rue, She told rue that the pokemon that hatches from the egg will be his starter. From the moment rue touched the egg he could tell that the pokemon inside was going to be an electric type pokemon, Rue was so overjoyed that he brought the egg everywhere he went. The egg hatched on the third day and thunder-lily was born rue had never been so happy and he raised her himself, the two were inseparable rue would even take her to school and thunder-lily had gotten protective of her future trainer as their bond grew.

Thunder-lily unlike her trainer is very outgoing and social she is very protective of rue and refuses to be in her pokeball, she’d rather travel by rues side always watching him. She has a pretty brave nature and like her trainer will jump in if someone is in need of help. She was given to him by his parents when he was 8 years old, since then they have been inseparable and have always seen together.

Hello, I am Aito and I shall be your mod on this character applications. I shall begin this step by step.

In his personality you could add more description in terms of how he handles people he hates, as a shy timid boy does he simply hold his opinions of these people to himself or does he voice them? How does he react when angry?. I would also like you to add a small paragraph on how he conducts himself in pokemon battles wild and trainer based, how does his timidness hold him back in terms of commanding pokemon in front of other trainers? I like how he is shy and unwilling to help himself but can protect others, I have a friend very similar to that quality. You could expand on that quality of how protective he feels of others who are being bullied.

You have listed that he is an electric type trainer, but has a charmander. You would need to focus solely on electric types to be a type trainer so charmander will need to be changed or that part removed.

Should be placed in history, id also like you to mention how this differs from wild pokemon encounters and how he handles losing battles, does he feel worthless? does he feel terrible for his pokemon?


History -

I like the history, it tells me a lot about him and i like that he didnt have some massive big thing influencing his life, we get so many people using legendary pokemon etc [Im one of them lol]. So its nice seeing a basic trainer who though down on his luck can find it in him to start a journey. The only things id like to see is -

1. If you could flesh out and give some information on how Rue changed his parents mind, how did he break them down to allow him to go on his journey.
2. You never mention how you got your Pichu? do you plan on gaining it IC? if so thats ok you can do that.
3. you state Ivan Sparks is the name of one of your parents yet Mrs is used on both parents. If its a typo would you mind fixing them. [if not and they are lesbians then thats A ok]
4. you would think i could remember the rules 0_0, but your Pichi is allowed 1 Tm move and 1 Egg move aswell as its starting level moves.

You can find a list of egg mvoes and tms pichu can learn and pick one of each for her to start with.

Now you say the misses was intentional, then the part where you say Mr and Mrs sparks were reluctant, needs to be changed to Mrs and Mrs and in the second last paragraph you state father but that should be changed to mother.

That paragraph should be in personality and not the history section, you can also add the wild pokemon part to your battle strategy as well as the personality section.

On this site pokemon are not limited to 4 moves, so your pichu should also know Sweetkiss and Thundershock

Could you put her moves in order of level from starting moves listing what level they are learned at,  or if to play e tm beside it and if an egg move place em beside it. Also in the last paragraph in history you still refer to your mother as He. If you can also go and change them to she or her etc thank you.
