(Remake) Pokemon Adventures - Episode II: A Time for Preparation!

"Yeah. But it is a good theory. So if we work our way towards the location of success, then it's possible that the box will open." Kana said.

Kana opened her backpack again and she gently put the box inside. Then she closed it back and she put it back on.

'In the meantime, I think some training are in order.' Viho thought.

"Good idea, Viho." Kana agreed.

A quadruped Pokémon that has a gray body with a black face and throat, feet, and belly hurries towards Kana. He stops and angry barks for unknown reasons. Its eyes have yellow sclera and red irises, and its nose is also red. Its lower jaw has two fangs sticking out. The fur at the base of its tail is rumpled and shaggy. It has gray paw pads on its three-toed paws.

Kana and her team turned to the pokemon that came out to see that it was a Poochyena. But Kana saw that it wasn't a friendly one. DarkFlare began to growl at the Poochyena but MonsterClaw stepped in-front of him, as if he wanted to take on Poochyena. Kana smiled and she nodded. MonsterClaw turned and he faced Poochyena. DarkFlare just snorted but decided to let MonsterClaw go ahead and battle the Poochyena.

"Alright then, Poochyena. if it's a battle you want, then we'll give it to yeah!" Kana said as she put her challenged face on.

Poochyena growled before Roaring. It raised his Attack stat. He turned around and hopped a few steps backward, leaving enough space for a battle. He waited for the foe's move for it's their turn now.

Kana pulled a smirk on her face as MonsterClaw came forward and he awaited for his trainer's command. The other pokemon stood by the other trainer and they watch. GatorClaw cheered for MonsterClaw on.

"Alright, Poochyena! Here we come! MonsterClaw, use Leer and then follow it up with Scratch!" Kana called out.

MonsterClaw narrowed his eyes in a leer at Poochyena as he rushed at him with his claws raised. Once he had reached the poochyena, he brought his claws down on the small puppy pokemon.

The intimidating flash from MonsterClaw's eyes is enough to lower Poochyena's Defense stat by one stage. His eyes were in the middle of recovering from the twinkle of light when claws dig in his skin and rake. It sure hurt and it's a critical hit. He's just one hit away from fainting. Now would be a good time to try and capture him if Kana would like.

Still, the puppy choose to go down fighting. Poochyena's fangs glow light blue and spark with light blue electricity. He then hops towards MonsterClaw and attempt to score a bite. It's the Electric-type move, Thunder Fang. A move he has as an Egg Move. With one stage raised attack and a super effective hit, this should at least even things up. If it hits.

Monsterclaw jumped away and back over to his side. Then Kana adjusted her hat as she pulled out a pokeball, Poochyena could be a good choice for her team for one of the gym leaders. Kana glances over at DarkFlare and he seemed interested in tutoring the young pup. So DarkFlare gave Kana a nod as she nodded back with a smile.

"Alright! Pokeball, Go!" Kana shouted as she gave the pokeball a good toss.

OOC: Good. You now have two hellhounds. May God watch over your soul, child.

IC: With a clink, the capsule device hits Poochyena on the head. It was thrown so perfect as if a crumpled paper just got thrown to a trash can perfectly. The device opened and unleashed a red laser which surrounded Poochyena and sucked him in. The ball fell on the ground. Wiggle. Wiggle. Wiggle.

The ball stops wiggling. The Poochyena has been successfully captured.
