Meriana Shiroto Vs. Blake A. Jackson Empty
PostSubject: Meriana Shiroto Vs. Blake A. Jackson   Meriana Shiroto Vs. Blake A. Jackson H6Q0F8zTue Apr 15, 2014 5:54 pm

The dew had frozen on the tips of the blades of grass, and the air was thin and cold. The two combatants stood opposite each other, the wind blowing Meriana's hair back. Slowly, she reached up and tied it up into a pony tail. The long, white, and lacy piece of fabric that she used for this task was now being blown back by the wind in her hair's stead. The light wind would not be an advantage to Bitty, as the small pokemon may be blown around by the wind. However, this wind would also make it difficult for others to aim. This weather was not particularly favourable for anyone except for pokemon who fought using physical attacks. This cold weather would be great for ice types, if Meriana had any. The ground was also littered with stones, none larger than about a meter high and wide.

Meriana took this all in, trying to evaluate what she could do to gain the upper hand. Despite her intelligence, Meriana saw no such advantage. Still, the battle must go on. Sometimes, in battle, one must simply adapt. After all, it is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but rather the one most responsive to change. And so given the circumstances, Meriana must use her most adaptable pokemon. This was Bitty, her Noibat. He was the most adaptable due to the fact that he had the largest movepool. She dropped to one knee, rummaged in her bag, and then rose once again, this time clutching a pokeball. "Bitty! It's time for a battle!" She said with enthusiasm, as the flash of bright red light signified the release of her pokemon from it's pokeball. The pokemon squeaked with enthusiasm, flew in a small circle, and then stopped to stare at the pair's opponent. Any anxiety that Meriana may have normally felt was absent. In battle, the commander must be fearless.

Blake deep green eye's were cold and heartless. He petted shadow on the head a few minutes before he sent him out. "I'll let you have first move." Blake said as he waved his hand around.

This boy seemed to be the stereotypically cocky type of person. A walking cliché, who was cold, dark, and probably thought himself to be incredibly powerful without any real kind of plan. And of course, his pokemon also fit this theory. She didn't think that she had any kind of pokemon that would do a lot of damage to this Houndour, but Bitty would be her best shot. Deciding that she would first work to confuse and disorient his pokemon, Meriana yelled "Bitty! Use supersonic, then follow up with a screech!"

Blake smiled a sneaky little smile. He knew that something like this but, he knew nothing about dodging a screech. As soon as Bitty shot of the supersonic. "Dodge" He yelled. He quickly lept out of the way. He was hit by the screech. His eyes narrowed. "My turn, Shadow ball followed up with an ember." Blake ordered. Shadow charged up a shadow ball shot it off then quickly shot off an ember. The ember out paced the shadowball by a long shot.

Meriana yelled out to Bitty to dodge, however not soon enough. The ember took Bitty in the stomach, however to say it did much damage would be a lie. Bitty cringed for a second, however the fire type attack was weak due to Bitty's typing. Still, it did do a little damage, and even that was worrying for Meriana "Are you ok Bitty?" She yelled, and the tiny sound wave pokemon squeaked back something that probably meant "I'm fine, watch this!" The Noibat easily dodged the somewhat slow shadow ball, looping over it. Meriana yelled back to her pokemon "Ok! Fly directly over it, because it will be difficult for it's ember to reach that far. Then, I want you to use supersonic. The sound waves should move fast enough to catch it, easily!"

Blake frowned. "Shadow let's play dirty" He said as Shadow was faintly affected by the supersonic" He started to see two of them but that didn't matter to him he would just simply use fire fang on one then use a shadow ball at the other. Shadow ran to one of the pointed stones and lept on to the top and from that lept up since they were to far for him to use fire fang Blake had to quickly change tactics. "Ember" He said Shadow lept up it was high for a pokemon of his type and build he shot two off one at each of the ones that he saw.

Meriana watched as one ember flew straight for Noibat, albeit wavering slightly. The other had sailed off into the distance somewhere and was of no concern to Meriana and Bitty. "Bitty! Dodge that ember, and follow up with some more supersonic to confuse it further. Then, use tailwind to increase your speed!" She yelled to Bitty, who squeaked in understanding.

Blake face filled with rage at the prospect of Shadow getting hit with supersonic again. "Run, till it hurts shadow." He yelled his voice was clearly on edge. Shadow started to run in a circle he was very quick for a dark type and surprisingly obedient for a fire type. It was clear that Shadow trusted Blake to the fullest. He wasn't affected by the supersonic when it hit the ground the tailwind gave him a small boost of speed for a second or two.
