| For those of you unaware of what Elsword is, its a free-to-play, 2.5-dimensional side-scrolling action MMORPG developed by the South Korean company KOG Studios. It features real-time action gameplay and includes both player vs. environment and player vs. player modes. It has many visual similarities to a Manga. My history with Elsword- Spoiler:
I started playing Elsword in about 2008, it was a relatively new game, only out in Korea. I had made it to around level 20 before I gave up, being unable to read anything upset me and made the game slightly less than manageable. Around a year or two later I heard the game was released in Germany, so of course I downloaded the German client thinking of how it would be so much easier to understand since it as least uses the same characters as the English language, I was wrong, and once again stopped at around level 20. So of course in 2011 I was ecstatic to hear that Elsword had finally come to North America. I didn't hesitate to immediately download the game, and since that day, I have been going on streaks of playing the game religiously and not playing at all.
In this RP you will be playing as the descendants of the heroes of the game, so similar physical representations are encouraged. The Descendants will carry on their ancestors skills, special abilities, and equipment. The story to this RP will take place exactly 100 years ahead of when the story to the game took place, with the original Heroes either dead, missing or much to old to fight their descendants are expected to protect the world in their place. The Mana System:To use any skill in the game you need a resource called Mana points, or MP for short. You will acquire 3 Mana per word you type in an in battle scenario, I will keep track of each Characters HP and MP. Note: Unless specifically under the effect of Super Armor then any hit against you will cause you to stagger momentarily. Awakening System:In the game there is a mode you can activate on each character called Awakening. Each character has a unique colored aura around them while awakened. When awakened a character can run faster, hit harder, has higher Mana regen (Lets just set it to 4 MP per word instead of 3 for the sake of simplicity.) and attacks faster. Some characters such as Chung, and Ara have a unique ability when entering awakening. There are 3 bars to awakening, you are able to activate it as soon as you fill one, but for each additional bar filled the bonuses are stacked and the awakening lasts longer, you will gain 1 Awakening bar per page of the RP. How the RP will work: Since the game has you fighting up against a multitude of enemies at any given time I will be allowing people to control any monster that they are currently fighting, with the exception of bosses ( For obvious reasons ) and any monster that I specifically take control of, however if I think that somebody is god modding themselves then I will not hesitate to make an attack hit, or if its bad enough have rocks fall from the sky unto your character. The original Heroes! Elsword - Spoiler:
Class: Knight Weapon: Great Sword Age: 13
Elsword was a master swordsman that excelled at close range combat. He's quick on his feet and can hack and slash with the best of them. Not only could he dish it out but he could take a lot of punishment as well. His only real weakness is magic but in his mind, there's nothing a sharp piece of steel can't beat.
Specialty: The way of the Sword - The "Way of the Sword" ability enables him to utilize energy gained through attacks and skills into 2 types of auras: Aura of Destruction and Aura of Vitality.
Background: sword, an ambitious yet hot headed young swordsman, trained by the leader of the Red Knights, his sister Elesis. Elesis left her little brother to lead a mission, never to return. Elsword now searches the land for two things; the stolen Elstone, the precious gem that powers the continent of Elrios, and his missing sister.
Awakening: Elsword is coated in a burning Red aura.
Starting Skills: Flame Geyser - Smash your flaming sword into the ground and erupt a fiery geyser unto your enemies. 150 MP Cost Roll - Roll past your enemies, dealing damage in the process. 10 MP Cost
Conclusion: Nobody is quite sure what actually happened to Elsword, the last time anybody heard from him was that he wanted to explore a newly found continent, yet he never returned and was never heard from again.
Aisha - Spoiler:
Class: Magician Weapon: Staff Magic Age: 15
Note: While is does say Aisha uses elemental magic this only applies to her skills, currently without the use of a skill she can only cast fireballs, at the cost of Mana.
Aisha was a mage who relied on her spell-casting abilities to inflict major damage to an opponent. She also had the ability to attack multiple targets at once. All of the Mage's spells are elemental, meaning she can gain an advantage by tailoring her attacks to a monsters natural element. In hand to hand combat, she favors the staff.
Specialty: Memorize - Allowed Aisha to memorize her skills, allowing them to become more pungent in battle.
Background: Aisha was already a mage of the highest order at the tender age of 12 until a ring of sinister power absorbed her abilities. Intelligent and brash, she once again started her journey to relearn all that she lost.
Awakening: A brilliant Purple aura
Starting Skills: Lightning bolt - Cast a stream of Lightning in front of you. Enemies hit by this skill are pushed away while taking constant damage. 200 MP Cost Chain Fireball - Cast 3 consecutive fireballs. The third fireball will have increased size, power, and will burn anything hit by it. 80 MP Cost
Conclusion: With the power of Aisha's magic, she is still alive to this day, living in the town of Ruben
Rena - Spoiler:
Class: Ranger Weapon: Bow and Kicking techniques Age: Unknown
Note: Rena does not carry a quiver, she instead forms arrows out of MP
Rena was a marksman with ranged weapons but can call on the elements to fuel her magic attacks as well. When cornered though, she has no problem striking enemies with her awesome kicks. She also has the ability to seemingly fly through the air with her double jump.
Specialty: Natures Spirit - Rena is able to summon Nature orbs to assist her in battle. These orbs allow Rena increase combo potential and buff her mobility.
Background: Rena is an elf living in the mortal world. Her place in this world was jeopardized by the weakening of El, the power gems that energize everything including the connection to her home world. If this power faded the ties that bind the two planes would have vanished as would Rena herself. She used her abilities as a Ranger to protect the El and her friends.
Awakening: A wonderful light green Aura
Starting Skills: Rail Stinger - charges up an arrow and shoots a powerful arrow at high speeds that can pierce through at least 2 enemies. Rail stinger can be boosted with the aid of atleast 1 nature orb. 100 MP Cost Back Tumbling Shot - back flips into the air and shoots 3 arrows 45 degrees downwards. can be boosted with the aid of 1 Nature Orb. 30 MP Cost
Conclusion: Being an elf Rena ages no where near as fast as a human, to this day she still looks relatively young, yet she lives her life away in the solitude of the forest.
Raven - Spoiler:
Class: Taker Weapon: Blade, Nasod Arm Age: 24
Raven excelled in close combat as he used his Nasod arm to strike down enemies with a single blow to those who dare get near him. He also used his sword to slice up anything in his path in order to build up all sorts of combos to tear down the enemy.
Specialty: *Anger of Raven - it allows Raven to deal heavy damage in a short time, or defend himself. After you learn to use it, it becomes indispensable.
Background: Raven was a fellow commoner from the Kingdom of Velder who rejected the idea of nobles and aristocrats. However, he was still proud of his kingdom, and thus worked hard to become the Captain of the Crow Mercenary Knights. having been a commoner in such a high-ranking position, he caused jealousy among the nobles. It was just a matter of time before he was framed and sentenced to prison. His friends, comrades, and fiancée rescued him and hid within the forest in the outskirts of Velder.
It did not take long before they were all surrounded by Velder soldiers and slaughtered one by one. Everything that Raven cared for and loved was stripped away from him, right before his very eyes. He stared at all the dead bodies around him as he slowly took what would have been his last few breaths. Just then, a Nasod figure appeared before him offered Raven a contract, for rebirth and power, he would conquer Velder and have revenge on the ones who caused his suffering, Raven agreed, then blacked out.
Raven awoke in a Nasod capsule, with devices attached to various parts of his body. Reborn with a prototype Nasod claw, he becomes the leader of the Velder Rebellion and blindly fights to destroy the kingdom he once protected. That is until he met a crew of young, ambitious heroes who reminded him of his duty to protect the people he once loved. In atonement for his sins, he decided to join Elsword and his friends on a new life adventure of finding the missing El.
Awakening: Raven has a raging Red Aura. His Awakening is Unique, small clouds of electricity jolt through his aura causing damage to anything near him. *This is also where the Anger of Raven kicks in. while awakened, Raven forces his emotions into a small Nasod machine which will attack an opponent whenever Raven uses a skill or defends him if an opponent is comboing Raven.
Starting skills: Power Assault - quickly rush forward and any targets hit are dragged with you. 150MP Cost Shadow Step - Become intangible and Stealthily dash forward, passing through targets and objects. 20 MP Cost per 30 Feet
Conclusion: Raven was believed to be the first of the Heroes to pass away, his dying thirst for redemption eventually over powering him to the point he found himself in the middle of a camp of bandits, his body thrown into Velder as an example.
Eve - Spoiler:
Class: Another Code Weapon: Nasod Drones, Nasod Assistants. Age: Unknown
Eve may not have looked tough like the others, but she used her powers of machinery to take down enemy forces for her. Since Eve is the Queen of Nasods, she can summon Nasods from her kingdom to aid her in her battle.
Note: Summoning Nasods is a Skill, it cant be done on command. Note Note: Her Weapons, the Nasod Drones, are the small floating orbs, she sends those two flying around to smack things.
Specialty: Core Release system - *Eve is able to summon the Queen's Core, which is able to protect Eve while also damaging all targets in its line of fire.
Background: Eve, an upper-class Nasod, was once called 'The Little Queen of Nasods' when Humans and Nasod coexisted in Ancient Elrios. The times were peaceful and they worked side by side with their creators. However, the reign of prosperity was fleeting, as the power of El began to weaken. Nasod civilization declined without its power source. They sought help from the Humans, but they were denied help, and the war of Nasod and Humans began. Years passed with the Humans winning the ancient war but at the same time diminishing the El's power. Only a few ancient Nasods survived the war and made it back into their preservation capsules.
For thousands of years, Eve was preserved in her capsule unit to avoid the catastrophe until an El fragment flew into it. Eve woke up to only find out that she was stranded alone in this new present time. She gathered her remaining energy and ancient knowledge to revive King Nasod and the Nasod race. After all, a queen cannot be without a king and Eve understood that best.
Years passed and King Nasod was on a mission to continue the ancient war with the humans. He and his followers had become corrupted and no longer acknowledged Eve. In the midst of the war, a young red-haired boy and his friends destroyed the last remains of Eve's race and ended King Nasod's life. Once again, Eve was left stranded and alone in this present time as though her efforts were meaningless. Not all hope is lost! Eve decided to regain the power of El and hopes to revive her race once again. She decided to follow the red-haired boy and his friends to find the El Shards and revive her race. It was, after all, the first time a boy said he wanted to be her friend.
Awakening: Eve's Aura is a blinding White. *When awakened Eve summons her Nasod Core to fight along side her. If Eve uses a skill while the Nasod core is summoned it will help out by shooting a laser at the opponent, if Eve is being attacked the Nasod core will block her like a shield.
Starting skills: Dimension Link: Blader - summons a Nasod Blader to slash enemies several times, then fire a beam, he then disappears. 200 MP Cost Illusion ray - Fires a small laser from your hand damaging all targets in its path. 50 MP
Conclusion: Once done with their journey Eve took some El crystals back with her, bringing power back to the Nasods closest to her, to this day she still lives in an old Nasod factory.
Chung - Spoiler:
Class: Guardian Weapon: Destroyer Age: 13
Chung’s weapon is the big cannon called the Destroyer, and his armor is the full body panoply called Freiturnier. In spite of his young and delicate looks, he can freely handle the big cannon with a tough combat style, but hitting opponents with his cannon or shooting them. His creed: no innocent human will get hurt under his watch.
Specialty: Freiturnier - Chung's most notable feature is his Ammo. With the Cannonball Reload System, Chung is able to maintain a stable supply of ammo to fight. In short he adjusts his fighting style to load cannonballs while still fighting. Chung can hold up to 6 cannon balls at a time, and must reload them all individually. *He also has the ability to transform into Berserk mode.
Background: Members of the Seiker family are known protectors of the Hamel City, the capital of the Senace Kingdom. It is to this name that Chung was born. Widely known as Prince Seiker, Chung was trained for combat from his early years. When the Senace Kingdom came under attack, Chung's father, Helputt, devoted himself to defending it. Unfortunately, the demons had possessed him, causing him to lose all control of his own body, and the noble fighter unwittingly came to lead the enemies to attack Hamel. The Prince tried to stop his father, but got seriously wounded by him. With the help of Elsword and his friends, Chung escaped the battlefield and is on the way to recovering from his wounds. Meanwhile, most parts of the Senace Kingdom were occupied by the demons. He decided to leave Hamel to the Red Knights and go with Elsword to train and become stronger than ever. He swore to himself that he wiould not use the Seiker name and would call himself Chung until he returned to save Hamel and take the Water El back from the demons.
Awakening: Chung has a surprisingly bright white Aura that burns around him. *When using all three awakening Bars Chung will enter his Berserk mode in which he equips his armor Freiturnier. His cannon holds unlimited shots for this time and his Defensive capabilities jump.
Starting Skills: Lunatic Blow - Repeatedly pummels and blasts targets with the Destroyer. He strikes 1-6 times based on how much ammo he currently has in his cannon. 200 MP Cost Reload - swings the Destroyer upwards and reloads a cannonball, the upward swing hitting a target in front of you. 25 MP Cost
Conclusion: Chung eventually became strong enough to fight his Demon controlled Father. Knowing that they couldn't defeat him one of the demons shot Chung with a slow effecting poison, he passed on a year later.
Ara - Spoiler:
Class: Little Xia Weapon: Spear Age: 17
Ara was a skilled martial artist that used a spear. She is highly versatile, with extremely long melee attack range, as well as superior attack speed and mobility. Having an air-dash in addition to the double jump, Ara's aerial mobility rivals that of Eve, who is known for having remarkable overall movement freedom. Her range also allows her to catch enemies in her combos from a safe distance, and even hit enemies behind, above, and below her easily. Ara also had a unique trait to her different from others, as she used "Spirit Energy" which could be used as substitution of MP.
Specialty: Eun - Ara has a special system called Spirit Energy, which she can use instead of MP. Ara's Awakening is similar to that of Chung's Freiturnier in that 3 awakening beads will bring on a change in appearance.
Background: Ara Haan was born in the town of Fahrmann, in the Xin kingdom located in the Northern Fluone continent. Ara's village housed a large shattered El-fragment. This particular fragment radiated powerful moon energy.
Ara was the daughter of the Haan Family, a warrior family that protected the seal of the Nine-Tailed-Fox for generations. At first glance, Ara looked like a kind and polite girl, but because of her family's influence, she was actually a highly skilled martial artist and spear wielder. Her brother, Aren Haan, began his training early and was able to become strong enough to become the Defense Captain of Fahrmann's capital. On one night, the village Ara had lived in had been attacked by an army of demons to take the village's Moon Elstone. Ara tried her best to fight back, but was outnumbered and cornered. In the destruction, Ara fell into a room containing a mysterious altar. A large hairpin that was pinned to the altar was thrown across the floor. Ara is approached by her brother, Aren, who is now Ran, the demon general who had led the invasion. Aren, who had inherited his strong spirit from the moon, had been corrupted and reborn as Ran due to the Dark El contaminating the moon's power. Ran had conquered Fahrmann's capital and led his army to retrieve the village's El-fragment.
As Ran is about to kill Ara, the last survivor, she instinctively protected herself with the hairpin on the floor. The pin unleashed a powerful light and Ara fell unconscious. When she woke, Ara found herself alone in the center of the village. The nine tailed fox had possessed her and fought the demons back, but the Moon Elstone had already been taken by them. Ara then heard the spirit's voice, Eun, who had been sealed in the pin for centuries. Eun made a contract with Ara, she would lend Ara her power and help her find her brother, Aren. In exchange, Ara was to help Eun bring back the Elstone. Ara accepted, and they went on their journey to search for Aren.
The duo arrived to Hamel after hearing of the demon invasion there, but Ara was too late and could only find traces of the demons. She quickly encounterd and fiought Karis, a Demon general in the Halls of Water. With the help of Eun, Ara was able to fight off Karis and escape. She eventually came across the ElTeam who mistake her for another demon due to Ara having been in her Eun form. After the misunderstanding, Elsword had told Ara that they already had fought the demons and that Ran had escaped from the Water Temple. He offered Ara to travel with him and his team, as they may come across Ran again. Ara agreed, joining in hopes of finding her brother as well as the Moon El to fulfill her contract with Eun.
Awakening: Ara has a shining Orange aura. Upon activation Ara takes on her Eun form, in which her hair turns white and she grows nine tails. Her Attack speed grows tremendously faster, as does her running speed.
Note: Ara can hold up to 6 spirit energy.
Starting Skills: Tempest Dance - elegantly spin forward, striking targets in your way. It requires 3 Spirit energy to cast, when cancelled by another skill it returned 3 Spirit Energy. 90 MP Cost Gain Force - Makes a giant orb that absorbs spirit power from targets and burns target's MP. Burns 10 MP from the opponent. Costs 30 Mana.
Conclusion: Ara was able to live to an old age and pass on of natural causes.
Elesis - Spoiler:
Class: Free Knight Weapon: Claymore, Basic Fire techniques Age: 16
Elesis was as fierce as she was calculated, expressing sedate attacks with her claymore onto her enemies. Although wielding a mighty claymore, Elesis herself was agile. She was able to evade and gap close with extreme effect unlike her brother Elsword, who incorporates a more defensive fighting-style. In addition to her swordplay, Elesis was capable of harnessing and expressing energy into fire, enhancing her combat effectiveness.
Specialty: Chivalry - Elesis possesses the gauge of Chivalry, similar to her younger brother Elsword's "Way of the Sword" gauge. Elesis fuels this gauge best offensively, with both basic attacks and skills. Depending on the types of attacks used to fill the gauge, a corresponding aura will activate once completely filled. Activation of the gauge will give her one of the two auras: Spirit of Annihilation or Aura of Gale.
Background: Headstrong and prone to act immediately, Elesis would do anything for her younger brother Elsword. Elesis' swordsmanship was taught by her father, a former Velder Kingdom Knight. She mastered her father's teachings quickly while integrating her own skill set. Unsatisfied with this training in Ruben, Elesis sought out to become a stronger swordswoman, thus venturing out into the world of Elrios. Three years later, Elesis returned to Ruben bearing the title "Red Haired Knight" and spent time observing Elsword's training. However, the reunion was short-lived as the two siblings were ambushed by a horde of demons led by Scar, a Captain of the Demon Realm. A skirmish ensued, resulting in the demon horde's defeat. Elesis, with the help of her brother Elsword, dispatched Scar. The intentions of the Demons become clear to Elesis, spurring her to leave Ruben once again. With the intent to become a Velder Kingdom Knight, Elesis would have done all in her power to defend her brother, and all of Elrios from the inevitable Demon invasion.
Awakening: Elisis has a Red aura, burning just as bright as her brothers.
Starting skills: Power Burster - leap into the air and strike the ground with fire magic, causing a flame geyser to sprout and deal rising damage to targets. 150 MP Cost Dodge & Slash - quickly dash forward, dodging attacks during the dashes, and can end the dash with a Super Armored upwards slash 15 MP Cost
Conclusion: After returning the El to normal along with her brother, Elesis sought out the demon Scar, she ensued in a long intensive fight, however she came out the loser of her life.
Note: Both Way of the Sword and Chivalry have the same Effects. Vitality Mode/Gale Mode: Attack faster, Mana costs are lowered by 5. But your defenses are lowered. When using this stance the character takes on a low standing stance, ready to dash about if need be. Destruction mode/Annihilation Mode: Damage per hit increased along with a 50% chance to knock enemies away when being hit. But you attack slower and your defenses are lowered. When using this stance the users stance will switch to a cockier holding of their sword. Application!~ - Spoiler:
