Amugan's Advice

"So this is the famous Pallet Town...starting place of trainer Red. This is gonna be awesome!" Jinkei had docked in Kanto and travelled far to get to Pallet Town, the town known for famous trainers Red and Blue growing up here. Even though Jinkei wasn't much for basking in the glory of others, he was still pretty amazed that he was actually here, a fisherman's humble son. Amugan sat on Jinkei's shoulder, smugly smiling, [Heheh, toldja, didn't I? This place is where my great great great...y'know, grandfather was one of the chosen three to be a starter pokemon here!]

Now, to see what kind of pokemon were around here that he could battle. Amugan was powerful, but Jinkei needed to bond with him a little more, so that they could be more efficient in battle. They walked through the plains that were right outside of the town, literally stomping through the tall grass trying to find something interesting. Amugan kept his eyes peeled over the area, trying to spot something out in the forest as well as the tall grass.

a rustle was in the grass, a bayleef slowly walked out of the grass as it was eating softly munching the sweet grass. It only looked up when he heard some sounds behind him and saw a boy and a squirtle but didn't seem to interested, it just kept on eating and waited for something to eat.

Jinkei heard a rustle in the grass nearby, and looked up to see a huge dinosaur-looking pokemon munching on leaves. "Whoa, that's amazing! Amugan, look over there!" When Amugan noticed the Bayleef, his eyes sparkled a bit, [Wow, he looks so strong! Are we going to battle him?] Jinkei shook his head quickly, "C'mon, Amugan. you of all people should know that battling isn't the only way to make new friends! Let's go introduce ourselves!" Amugan nodded, and they started to walk over to the Bayleef calmly, trying their best to look friendly, "Hi there! I'm an Aura Trainer, so I can kind of understand you. Go ahead and speak your mind!" When the Bayleef felt comfortable, he would reach his hand out to pet it gently.

Bayleef lazily looked up. He didn't seem to mind being petted. Hey there. Aura trainer is it? Those are rare over here. It went on munching the grass, not at all ill at ease.

Jinkei began to pet the Bayleef, feeling the soft skin behind it's scythe-like leaf on its head, "Wow, this is amazing! I'm Jinkei, and this here is Amugan." Usually, it took a special bond for a pokemon to be able to speak to Jinkei, but this Bayleef was so compliant, it could speak to him no problem. Amugan grinned at the Bayleef from his shoulder "Hey there!" Jinkei was a little reluctant to ask, since the Bayleef seemed so peaceful, but..."Hey, you wouldn't mind uh...joining my team, would you?"

It nodded at Jinkei and Amugan as a form of greeting. It listened carefully, all the time munching on the grass. Join the team? You mean, travel the world and sorts?

"Yeah! It'd be so fun, all three of us- Oh, you haven't met Serene yet!" Jinkei reached to his belt and plucked a small pokeball from his belt, "Alright, Serene, say hello!" He clicked the center button, and the ball expanded, then he threw it up into the air. The ball opened up, and in a flash of bright light, a small, serpentine-like blue dragon appeared, wrapping its body around Jinkei's neck like a scarf. Serene's tail waved at the Bayleef in greeting, "Hey there! So, you're gonna join us?"

Bayleef chuckled and shook it's leaf in greeting. A nice fragrance began to float around the air, emanating from the curled up leaves on Bayleef's neck. It nodded calmly. Unfortunately, the fragrance was famed for attracting wild pokemon. Before long, a Misdreavus floated out.


Level 14

It seems calm but if anything happens, I can take care of it. The Bayleef warned as it turned to face the Misdreavus. It was hovering around Bayleef and sniffing it's leaves. It didn't seem to realise that it couldn't have the source of the fragrance for itself.

Jinkei smelled the delicious fragrance of the bayleef's scent, and would have fallen asleep if it wasn't for the ghost pokemon that had come out of nowhere. "Aaah!! G-g-get it awaaay..." Amugan, being the protective squirt he always was, quickly sprang into action. It sent a torrent of bubbles at it before landing on the ground lightly, and firing a spray of water at the Misdreavus. Jinkei suddenly found his voice, "A-amugan...it didn't do anything wrong!" Serene laid her head against her friend's shoulder, letting the events take place in front of her.

Misdreavus was in a dreamy trance and was struck by the bubbles and the jet of water. It shook it's hairy appendages and immediately fired up, it's anger evident. But soon the soothing fragrance managed to calm it down as it returned to Bayleef's side, hovering around it's leaves.

Serene wrapped around Jinkei comfortingly, helping him shake off his fear of the ghost type pokemon. He turned to the Bayleef and said with a shaky voice, "D-do you mind if we battle this pokemon?" He didn't want to look like a jerk, but Amugan was pounding his fists in anticipation, [Yeah!! C'mon, ya scary jerk! Let's throw down!" Serene sighed and stuck her tongue out at Amugan, [You're such a child, Amugan. You're going to get hurt, y'know.]

Bayleef turned with a surprised look on it's face. "Sure, why would I mind?" It stepped aside. He cocked his head as to why this trainer was so frightened of Ghost pokemon.

Jinkei pet Serenity on the head and called out to Amugan, "Alright, let's do this! Start this off with a Bubble attack!" Amugan nodded to his trainer, and turned to the ghost type menacingly, [Let's go, you creepy freak! Whooo...] He sucked in a lungful of air, and forcefully expelled a large foam of bubbles at the Misdreavus. Amugan wiped off his mouth smiling, and Serene shook her head slowly, [You're so disgusting. Did you have to make a big show of it?] Jinkei paid no mind to it, just cheered on his friend in the battle, getting ready for the misdreavus's counterattack.
