Training for the gym [Private]

After buying pokemon egg from the shop, Mercury headed into the fields to find more pokemon, carrying the egg with her. Ground type pokemon were said to be very popular around this area, though there might be other pokemon as well. Mercury started searching, a bush suddenly moved as she neared it, so she held Spheal's pokeball ready for use in one hand, and the egg, still inside its container, in the other.

Suddenly the thing making the noise jumped out of the brush! A small Lillipup began to run around Mercury in circles, yipping the entire time, he eventually stopped to stare at Mercury and began to let out a deep growl. You must have intruded on the little guys territory.

Personality: This Lillipup is overly hyper. He tends to think of himself as much bigger than he is, he would charge an onix if he had the opportunity

Another Lilipup, Mercury decided to finish it quickly as she saw it was very persistent to fight her, though she wanted to keep searching. C'mon out, Spheal. Mercury said, throwing the pokeball which released Spheal in a white aura. Use Ice Ball. She said, Spheal nodded and rolled at the Lilipup with good speed, the attack would pack a real punch as well

The Lillipup made an effort to move away from the rolling Spheal but was nowhere near fast enough, the ice covered Pokemon bashed in Lillipup causing the small pup to fall backwards. The Lillipup jumped to his feet again, for the most part he was unfazed by the attack. The Lillipup charged at Spheal, running as quickly as possible to try and slam its body into the round opponent.

Spheal, use Defense Curl. Mercury said, Spheal then curled up, raising its defense and took the tackle from Lilipup. It didn't do much damage to Spheal, so Spheal got up quickly. Use Water Gun. Mercury said, so Spheal then blasted a stream of water from her mouth, aimed at the Lilipup.

The water gun hit Lillipup, sending the dog like Pokemon head of heel in a backwards tumble. The Lillipup tried to stand, barely being able to raise itself halfway up off of the ground before falling back to the cold dirt, unconscious.

Mercury continued to search for more pokemon, feeling a bit bad about the Lilipup. Spheal followed Mercury as she walked over to more bushes. Another bush then starts moving, and Mercury moved closer to see what it was. Suddenly a ________ Jumps out of it.

Out of this bush, which for some reason looked oddly similiar to the last one, came a Suntret! It seemed to hop up and down on its tail, inspecting Mercury with its beady black eyes. The feral Pokemon turned towards Spheal, it began to run towards Spheal before jumping at it with his claws out for an attack.

A Sentret jumped out and attacked Spheal. Its Scratch connected and did a little bit of damage, though the Defense Curl from before helped. Spheal use Water Gun again. Mercury says to Spheal. Quickly Spheal blasted out a stream of water towards the Sentret. Mercury didn't want to capture the Sentret either as she seeked a group of different styles. She already has a water and ice type pokemon, and a fire type egg, as well as a normal type Lilipup.

The Sentret jumping on its tail, bouncing off of the earth to the side, making for an easy dodge against the water gun that was fired at her. After landing gracefully back on her feet the Sentret charged at Spheal again, her claws grasping out for a target

Spheal use Ice Ball. Said the girl. Spheal covered its body in ice and rolled at the Sentret, hoping to knock it out.

The Sentret was hit by the rolling ball of ice, but the persistent little guy bounced right back up. The Sentret looked at Spheal angrily for a moment before cherging at him full on with his claws bared again.

Use Defense Curl again. The girl says, Spheal curled up into a ball and took the hit. Her defense rose, reducing the damage. Use Tackle. Mercury said, so Spheal charged at the Sentret wanting to tackle it

The Sentret seemed to be in confusion when his claws bounced off of Spheal harmlessly. In a lack of will the Sentret didnt even notice that Spheal had charged at him, the tackle hit the Sentret directly, it was a critical hit, sending the Pokemon flying backwards. With all of its will the Sentret seemed to try and stand up again, only to fall back down.

Mercury walked on with Spheal, searching for more pokemon to capture. She walked around and her a _______ speak.

Seeing as only oh so many Pokemon could be found in this area, yet another Sentret jumped out of the bushes at her and Spheal. Unlike the previous Pokemon of its species, this Sentret seemed to be watching the two passerby's, slightly bouncing up and down on his tail.

Personality: This Sentret tends to act in a happy go lucky fashion, however can turn serious in a hard battle.

Another Sentret, Mercury was getting irritated at the constant Sentret and Lilipup, so she told Spheal to use a new Combo; Spheal, use Ice Ball and Powder Snow together. Spheal then nodded and started. She covered her body in ice and rolled into a ball, then charged at the Sentret and started blowing Powder Snow from its mouth. The combo was indeed a strong one, combining two ice attacks into one, as the Powder Snow would hit first followed by the Ice Ball only a moment later

The powerful combination of Powder snow, followed by the force of Ice ball was astounding. The powerful hit knocked Sentret back. The Pokemon came to a slow stand, teetering too and fro as the world spun around him. In a panic the Sentret curled into a ball boosting defense and hoping for the best.

Mercury felt bad for the pokemon as she saw it curl up trying to increase its defense, so she wanted to make it more fair for the Sentret. Spheal, let's have Lilipup fight the Sentret. She said, she then removed Lilipup's pokeball, and released the pokemon in a bright beam of energy as she threw her pokeball. Lilipup, use Leer. She said again. Lilipup then used Leer on the Sentret to lower its defense.

In flash of disappointment the Sentret jumped out of its curled position. The Sentret puffed his cheeks out towards the Lillipup. the Sentret ran in a small circle for a moment as if contemplating what he should do. He stopped after the second circle, facing the Lillipup. With a small limp to Sentret ran towards the Lillipup with its claws bared in a simple scratch attack.

Lilipup was hit with the scratch, so Mercury countered. Use Tackle, Lilipup. She said. The Lilipup then charged at the Sentret from close range

The already weakened Sentret stood no chance against the Lillipups Tackle attack. Without anymore resistance left in it the Sentret fainted in a dramatic display of spinning on its tail clockwise, before ultimately falling onto its back.

The Sentret fainted from the attack, Mercury was proud that her Lilipup won its first battle with her. She had to train it soon though so she could fight the gym leader. She then continued walking towards the exit, so she could start the training. But then a _____ Jumps in her way, she smirked and looked at Lilipup. Wanna go again? She asked. Lilipup replied with an excited Pup pup! Lilipup!

This time a wild Chatot had appeared in front of Mercury and his group, hovering a few inches off of the ground with the steady thumping of his wings breaking through the air. "Lillipup!" The creature squaked, mocking Mercury's Pokemon. "Wanna go again!?" The Pokemon's talking was sharp, his use of English brittle yet understandable.

Ugh! I hate it when they copy me! Mercury said, she had encountered a Chatot the day before, it had also copied her, mocking her. Lilipup, use Leer, then follow up with Tackle. She said. The Lilipup then Leered at the Chatot, and charged at it with Tackle
