Guess i should go already...

In a meadow by the outskirts of town.

Roland was having a nice nap by a tree shielded by the shadows of the another tree. He turned over to the left and happened to drop his pokeball on the ground. The pokeball activated and let out the Litwick he had earlier received from Professor Willow. She had approached him earlier that day and asked him to chose between three pokemon. He obviously chose Litwick due to it being a Ghost type and named it Wisp.

From the Litwick's point of view, It thought he had summoned it to play or something else important but found his trainer dozing of in the middle of nowhere. Wisp was annoyed and tried to wake its trainer by pushing him. Roland didn't respond at all, in fact he started to snore instead. Wisp started to get mad and decided to do something extreme. It set fire to Roland's shoe and awaited his response.

Roland felt something by his foot and he opened his eyes slowly. He woke up and found Wisp together with his shoe on fire. He stood up and walked away calmly against the river before dipping his foot. He walked back and grabbed the Litwick with both his hands. "What was that for?" The Litwick kept struggling and made noises as if trying to say something.

Roland suddenly remembered where he got it and got a fair idea of what it wanted. "You want to go on a journey?" The Litwick brightened up and nodded. Roland sighned as he picked the Litwick up and started walking across town. "I guess i should go already..."

They passed many children playing outside as well as, many trainers who were flocking to the town to collect their first pokemon and start their journeys. Soon they found one trainer though, who was running along the same street as, them before turning to them and smiling, his Spheal looked to them and the trainer said
"Hey I challenge you to a battle but, be careful we might be a bit strong for you"
before, rather forcefully leading Roland to a nearby battlefield in a park and taking position his Spheal (Female (Not that he knew that) - lvl 13) also, making her way to the battlefield readily awaiting her challenger rather cockily. The trainer then saying
"The name's Chase, Chase Jones now bring it"
allowing his opponent the first move of the battle.

Roland wasn't really happy with the way this guy had just dragged him into this. He yawned as he took his position and looked at the rather cocky Spheal. He didn't really get why they had to pick him of all the trainers coming here. He didn't like the trainers cocky attitude but decided to accept his challenge.
"I accept your challenge, and don't worry about me. You should worry about yourself instead. He put Wisp down and it jumped forward with an angry look. "Lets show them what happens when you play with fire"

Roland took on a serious look and started to issue commands. "Use Smog and Energy Ball". Wisp took a deep breath before blowing out a cloud of black smoke against the Spheal and followed with forming a ball of energy at the top of its head before launching it.

Chase quickly reacted by calling to Spheal
"Now Nero, Counter it with a Powder Snow followed by Ice Ball!"
Nero; the newly revealed to be nicknamed Spheal, launched first a Powder Snow blowing out light blue snow from his mouth, blowing away the Smog and freezing the Energy Ball causing, it to drop to the floor. Nero then began to form a small, cold and icy sphere launching it with the help of Water Gun directly at Wisp. Chase smirking and laughing before cockily calling across
"How'd you like that then old timer".

Roland liked the kid's guts but decided to show him a thing or two about fighting. "I think it's a bit to cold for my taste, mind if i turn up the heat? Heat Wave!" Wisp took another deep breath and exhaled a large amount of hot air which melted the Ice Ball and Roland directly followed with another command. "Use Fire Spin" Wisp then fired a vortex of fire from its candle which was heading straight for the Spheal.

Chase called to Nero
"Aim a Powder Snow at the ground"
Nero launching a Powder Snow beneath him catapulting him out of the way then, using another larger and colder Ice Ball, on Wick the Ice Ball's effect working to increase the size of the Ice Ball each time the move is used.

Wisp was hit by the enpowered Ice Ball but quickly got back up and readied itelf for another attack. Roland yawned again and gave another command to Wisp. "Wisp, use Confuse Ray and follow with another Energy Ball" Wisp let out a strange ray of light from its candle which went straight for Neo and followed with Energy Ball right behind it. The plan was to use the moment of confusion from the ray to ensure the Energy Ball hitting.
