"Anybody there?" Kita Yuudai, a new trainer in Kanto called as he knocked on the door of the Pewter City gym, where he expected to fight Brock, the leader to a match. Being well prepared by then, Yuu knocked a few more times before gently pushing open the unlocked door. He saw a rocky battle stage before him. Walking inside on his own, he was followed by his Charmander and male Nidoran. His Dratini made its way into the place soon after, slithering. "Mr. Brock? I challenge you to a gym battle!"

Brock was in his house cooking some delicious for his siblings. Just when he took the first bite of the bread he heard the bell alarming that someone is challenging him "You guys continue eating, We have a challenger."

Brock entered the gym and saw a kid with some pokemon near him "Welcome to the Pewter gym. I'm Brock, the Pewter Gym Leader. I'm an expert on rock-type Pokémon. My Pokémon are impervious to most physical attacks. You'll have a hard time inflicting any damage. If you are ready approach my pall, I choose you Geodude!" said brock and sent out Geodude.

Looking at his three Pokemon, Yuu considered the options. His Charmander was obviously a poor choice against a Rock-type gym. He was out of the question. Looking at the male Nidoran and the Dratini, Yuu decided to pick Nidoran first. Gesturing for the purple little monster to march to the battlefield, the trainer turned to Brock. "Nidoran is my choice." The boy stated with a confident grin. The boy calmly waited for Brock to make the first move or somehow commence the battle.

Brock crossed arms and grinned " A Nidoran ei, ok Geodude use tackle attack."
Geodude rushed to tackle Nidoran.

Nidoran got hit by the Tackle and took a step back. Making agitated noises, it waited for Yuudai's order, which he eventually gave as Double Kick. The Pokemon pressed hard on the ground for leaping power and than jumped at Geodude, attempting to kick it twice.

Geodude was confused seeing multiple Nidorans and when they started attacking it Geodude got hit, but the damage isn't so huge due Geodudes high defence.
"Nice one kid, now Geodude use defence curl." ordered Brock and Geoduce curls up to conceal weak spots and raise Defense.

"Haha! I was expecting that!" Yuu chuckled. He had the gym leader exactly where he wanted! Grinning at his success, the trainer ordered for Nidoran to use Disable on the Geodude, disallowing it to use Defense Curl for a while!

Geodudes Defence curl is now disabled
"Nice move kid, Geodude tackle attack again!" said Brock and his Geodude rushed at Nidoran.

Tackle being a hard move to "dodge", Nidoran was hit once again. Now he was damaged but not in critical condition. Knowing he can only take a couple of more attacks anyway in his low level, Yuudai ordered quickly for it to use Focus Energy to try and pump up, try to finish the battle with Geodude before Nidoran gets knocked out.

"So you're trying to focus ha, you need much more than that to beat my rockhard pokémon." said brock and smiled "Geodude tackle it once more!"
Geodude nodded and rushes to tackle Nidoran.

Nidoran got hit by the third Tackle and was now officially in critical condition, one more would knock out Nidoran. However, his ability, "Rivalry" activated upon seeing Geodude was male, increasing his attack by one stage and in addition to this, he had just used Focus Energy. "Now use Double Kick again!" The trainer ordered and Nidoran followed the orders by leaping at Geodude and attempting another Double Kick, possibly critical.

Geodude tied to dodge it but it was impossible and took two hits from Nidoran then fainted.
"Oh didn't saw that coming good job. Now get ready for the real challenge, go Onix!" the ground started to shake and a medium crater appeared on the ground, from which Brocks Onix appeared.
"Onix use rock tomb!" ordered Brock and Onix started to hurl boulders at Nidoran.

Nidoran was obviously helpless as the boulders struck him and he fell to the floor, fainted. (exp for beating geodude?) "Fair enough." The trainer stated as he returned the fainted Pokemon to its Pokeball. Pointing at the battlefield, The trainer then ordered his Dratini to the battle. The serpent Pokemon obeyed and slithered to the field. "Use Aqua Jet!" As it was a priority move, Dratini moved first even though it just switched in, covering itself in water and charging at Onyx.

Since Onix was huge and heavy it couldn't dodge the attack, and it was direct hit and huge damage.
Onix tried to stand up but he collapsed and fainted.
"Your pokemon's powerful attacks overcame my rock-hard defense... You're stronger than I expected... Go ahead--take this Boulder badge and TM39, you deserved it." said Brock and returned his Onix "The next gym is in Cerulean City, good luck in your next battles."
