Pokemon Quest - Episode 1: New Trainer Uprising!

Amelia wakes up to the warm morning sun as she yawns and stretches. Amelia tosses the covers off and she hops out of bed. Then Amelia heads over to the window and opens them to take in the fresh air. Today was a very good day for her as she closes the window and hurries to get her clothes and then head to the bathroom to get a shower before her little brother does. She manage to beat Jacon to the bathroom as she rushes in and closes the door on him.

“Hey! Sissy! That’s not fair! I was supposed to get the bathroom first!” Jacon shouted out as he knocks on the door.

“Sorry, lil’ brother! Birthday girl first!” Amelia called out.

“But that’s not fair! I’m gonna tell mom that you stole my turn!” Jacon cried out.

“I’m just gonna take a quick shower! So keep your pants on!” Amelia called out.

After about 3 minutes, Amelia finishes her shower and she comes out of the bathroom wearing light grey sporty Capri’s, emerald green mini skirt, Magenta and light teal shirt, black socks, black wristbands, dark blue and dark emerald vest, and magenta bandanna that her mom gave her when she turned six. Once Jacon was done with his shower, Amelia and her lil’ brother head downstairs where Tansima was making breakfast and Yunako was coming inside from returning after another successful rescue.

“Morning, Jacon. Morning, Amelia.” Yunako greeted.

“Morning, dad!” Amelia greeted back while very happy.

“Daddy!” Jacon called as he runs to his dad.

Yunako laughs as he picks up Jacon and he hugs him. Jacon would miss their dad whenever he goes away on a rescue mission. But, it’s what he does as a ranger. Then Yunako comes over to Amelia and he gives her a hug.

“I missed you, dad.” Amelia said.

“I missed you all. Oh and Happy birthday, Amelia.” Yunako said.

“Thanks, dad. I’m very excited you came back on my birthday.” Amelia said while smiling.

Soon, the family sit down and they begin to eat breakfast. Today was a special breakfast. Tansima have made Strawberry Pancakes, eggs, sausage, and hash browns. Amelia and her little brother love their mom's special breakfast on their birthdays. During their meals, they start up a conversation.

"So, Amelia. What pokemon are you gonna get from Professor Birch?" Tansima asked.

"Well, I've seen the show of Professor Birch showing what the three starters are. I mean, I like them all and they're all cute. But, I just don't know which one to choose." Amelia answered before she takes a drink of her grape juice.

"I'm sure you'll figure out when we head over to the professor's lab." Yunako said.

After breakfast, Amelia's parents and her little brother begin to sing happy birthday to her. Then, they make their way over to Professor Birch's lab for Amelia to get her first pokemon. Once there, the Harris family head inside the lab.

"Excuse me, we're here to see Professor Birch. MY daughter here is wanting to get her first pokemon today." Yunako said.

Professor Birch looked at Amelia with delight. "Is that so? Well then, you're getting your Pokémon, son," said Birch as he hand-signaled them to follow him. He walked towards a table where there are three Poké Balls. "Well, I'm sure you know what Pokémon I can give. Mudkip, Torchic or Treecko?"

The family follows the professor to the table. Amelia looks at her parents and they give her a nod. Amelia nods back and she turns back to the table. She walks up to the table and looks at the three pokeballs. This was a hard choice for Amelia. She liked all three of them, but she can only choose one. After some thinking, Amelia made her decision and she smiles.

"Well, they're all rather cute. But, I have to decided to go with...Treecko!" Amelia explained as she picks up the pokeball with Treecko inside.

Birch smiled on Amelia's wise decision. "A wise choice that is. Should you name him, it's your choice," he said. He went to a corner where there is another table with what seems to be a Pokédex. He picked it up and handed it to Amelia. He also gave her Potions. "Well, good luck on your journey, kid."

Amelia takes the pokedex & the potions and she stores them into her bag. She turns back to Professor Birch and she gives her a nod. Then Amelia tosses the pokeball up and out came the Treecko. The Treecko looks around until he looks up to see his new trainer. the Treecko gave a smile and he climbs onto her shoulder.

"You sure are a climber, aren't ya." Amelia said.

The Treecko gave a nod. Amelia takes him off of her shoulders and she holds him gently with her hands as she starts thinking of a name for him.

"Hmm...What to call you...I know. How does Blade sound?" Amelia asked.

"Treecko!" Blade cheered.

"Alright! Blade it is, then!" Amelia said.

Then Amelia turns to her parents and her little brother to show them Blade. They like the little Treecko, especially her little brother. Then they get in a family hug while Amelia was gently holding Blade in her arms.

"Happy Birthday, Amelia." Yunako said.

"Thanks, dad." Amelia said.

Amelia turns back to Professor Birch.

"Thank you, Professor." Amelia said.

Professor Birch gave a smile. "Well, what are you waiting for? Go out there and experience the fun of being a Pokémon Trainer. Treecko, be good to your new Trainer and never give up," said Birch. Birch is right.

Blade gives the professor a salute. Then the family waved goodbye to the professor and they left the lab. Once back outside, the family gathers at the entrance of the town where Amelia would leave the town to start her Pokemon Quest as a Pokemon Trainer. Amelia hugs both her parents and her little brother. Jacon sometimes wishes that she would stay a little longer, but Amelia told him that she would call and write to them. Then both Amelia and Blade set off on their Pokemon Quest as Amelia has now turned thirteen. It has been about an hour since Amelia and Blade left the town. They have now arrived on route 101 and this is where they begin their search for pokemon.

There's a pink Pokémon with white legs wandering around. It's a creature that lives on the water but can also walk on land. It's a Corsola. It's just wandering around innocently. It looks friendly.

Amelia and Blade smiles as they see the Corsola wondering around. Blade walks up to the Corsola and he gives her a friendly hello. Amelia walks over to her as well, but she was being careful not to get too close to startle her and she squats down.

"Hi there." Amelia greeted.

Corsola looked up to them with a curious face. She still looks cute even if she looks a tad bit terrified. She slowly backs away and is looking around. Three other Corsolas come out from a bush and surround the lone Corsola. They are her friends. The group is looking towards Amelia and Blade curiously and cautiously.

Amelia and Blade were amazed to see three other Corsolas. Blade slowly took a step forward to the Corsolas and he begin to explain that his trainer is really nice and she likes pokemon. Amelia gave a nod to the Corsolas.

The group of backed away quickly. One of them suggested that the group just walk away from Amelia and her Treecko. They seem to be a paranoid bunch. One did walk away, followed a second until all of them were walking away peacefully. They still have some fear though.

Amelia gave a sad look to the Corsolas. She stands up and she begins to walk away. Blade looks at his trainer. Then Blade turns to the Corsolas and he runs after them. Soon, Blade gets in the Corsolas way and he begin to explain that Amelia isn't bad at all. He also explains that her dad is a pokemon ranger and he can see that Amelia wouldn't mistreat pokemon.

The Corsolas turned around and looked at Amelia. They know Amelia feels sad. The largest of them spoke for the group and explained that they wish to be left alone and Amelia would probably want to capture them and that is something they don't want. They don't want to be separated as they have been friends for years. But another one would add something.

The smallest one suggested should Amelia capture one of them, she should go back here once a month and find them and release the captured Corsola and give them a day to hang around and make up for the days they spent being incomplete. However, if she does not comply, she would have her conscience against herself. The smallest Corsola also added that should they happen to know that the captured is being mistreated, Amelia will face the consequences the moment she returns here. She explained that they might look like a helpless bunch but they are quite popular among the wild Pokémon here. She said that she could talk to the others to ambush Amelia and do harm. But if what Treecko's saying is right, then things are all fine.

The largest one didn't have anything to say about that. Her face shows agreement. That goes for the other two including the one who Amelia first saw.

Blade just stares at the Corsolas in disbelief. Then Blade makes a sigh and he apologizes for trying to convince them. But Blade looks behind them and Amelia was standing behind them. Amelia shakes her head with a sad look. Blade looks back at the Corsolas, but he stood his ground. He wouldn't give up as Amelia just watches. Blade explains that Amelia isn't just a trainer to compete in the pokemon leagues, she a trainer that also cares for pokemon and that his trainer doesn't like people that mistreat pokemon. He then shows the Corsolas that he had no signs of injuries from his trainer.

The very same Corsola Amelia met a while ago walked up to Blade. She walked beside Blade and looked at her friends in the eyes. She explained her side and that she does not think Amelia and the Treecko are liars. She would like to give it a try on how it feels to be handled by a Pokémon Trainer. Corsola also tried to convince her friends to let her be free and she'll visit sometime but not monthly.

There is silence for a couple of minutes but soon, her friends agreed.

Blade smiles as he thank the Corsola. Amelia also smiled as she looked at the other Corsolas.

"Don't worry. I'll make sure nothing happens to her and if she gets injured a little during a battle, I'll use the potions to heal her back up and each town has a pokemon center where pokemon are healed." Amelia said.

The Corsolas agree. Her friend says a goodbye to her as they leave happily. They now trust Amelia and the trust must not be broken. Anyone who knows her will doubt she break trusts. Corsola has been added to the team.

Amelia squats down and she begins to pet the Corsola. Blade comes back over to his trainer and his new friend. Then Amelia pulls out a pokeball and she lightly taps Corsola with it.

"Welcome to the team, Coral." Amelia said.

The Ball opened, dissolving and sucking Coral inside. Before she was tapped with the Ball, she had a huge smile on her face. The Ball twitched thrice but Coral was not really fighting. It seems Amelia now has another warrior friend with her. Dah-dah-dah.

With a smile, Amelia and Blade, along with their new friend, continues onward on route 101 in search of more new friends. This was turning out good for Amelia so far. Blade climbs onto Amelia's shoulder and he begins to look for more pokemon.

A sound of something bouncing around like from a spring can be heard. A wild Pokémon comes out from a bush. It had no legs but it had springs as a replacement. It's dark in color and has a pig's nose. It's a Spoink.

Amelia smiles as Blade jumps down and he greets the spoink. Amelia kept her distance as she squats down on her knees.

"Hi there." Amelia greeted.

The Spoink bounces up and down in greetingas it hops all around the trainer and her pokemon, inspecting each detail for any signs of threat. Finding none other than the intimidating look of the Treecko, it waved it's hands happily and albeit childishly.

Amelia giggles as she watches the spoink bounce up and down while hopping around them. Blade waves back with a smile on his face. Amelia couldn't help but think how cute this spoink was being.

"You sure are a happy one, aren't ya." Amelia said.
