Wendy can't exactly be called a genius commanding her pokemon, other than flying type, in a pokemon fight. She can't predict what moves the opposite trainer might use and how pokemon act. She overcomes her lack of knowledge and experience with hard work and willpower. Although maybe not understanding so much about different type of pokemon she is extremely talented when it comes to commanding Flying type pokemon. During battle she almost feels as if she is the pokemon itself and knows exactly what to do in a right moment.

Wendy might seem a little bit unfriendly in the beginning, but that just because she is rather quiet and shy. She is actually really good at expressing herself. It's just that she feels chit chatting to be little bit waste of time, and thus only speaks when she wants to get her opinion trough or answer others' questions. A thing Wendy adores most is the skies and everything related to them. She has really good senses when it comes to predicting weather, and she is a natural when it comes down to "reading" the wind. Her another passion are pokemon. You can't say that she loves all pokemon equally, but she doesn't like it when any of them get mistreated. She especially loves flying pokemon. She has talent understanding them and feeling what they feel.

Since Wendy's parents both work away from home she had to manage herself a lot of the time. It's because of having always come trough alone, that she doesn't like asking others for help. Having often left alone at home she learned to cook really well, making fire, and do other household chores, including repairing something. When it comes to machines she is rather smart. Her father is a plane technician and has talked the girl a lot about them, not just the planes but others as well. Airplanes still remain her favorite though. She can even make detailed drawings about planes. If she would not have decided to go travel the world as a pokemon trainer she would've probably have started working at airport for some company.

Wendy has lived all her life in Pallet town. Her father is a plane engineer, and her mother a renowned pilot, testing new planes and helping on the improvement process, especially with flying mechanics.Her parents were away most of the time, leaving the young girl with a nanny in her child age. From a very young age she tried to be as independent as possible. She almost never asked for her caretaker's help but rather liked to figure things out herself. She spent a lot of her time outside in fresh air. She just loved it, laying down somewhere and staring at the sky. She had some really close friends.

As time went past she soon didn't need any caretaker and she also took humongous interest in airplanes, weather, engineering, and drawing. She spent a lot of her time behind books to educate herself which left her social life into ruin. She didn't care much about that since she was happy spending all her time learning about the things she loved. When she was 15 her parents suggested her to go and see the world a little. After a little time considering it she found another thing she loved, pokemon. Because of that she decided to go on a pokemon journey, collecting badges around the region and training her own team.
