Rebecca vs Wendy

Wendy was wearing her casual outfit. Her long hair happened to be a little more messy than usual but it gave her somewhat of a more wild look. Her newly found partner, Charmander, was standing faithfully next to her. The pokemon's eyes were blazing with passion as it was ready to fight and destroy his enemy to prove once again that he is the strongest.

Rebecca sat across on the battlefield, smiling at the little Charmander. It was cute. Too bad she'd have to beat the ever loving crap out it. It really was. Or...shoot it with water? Either way it wasn't gonna be all that fun. Holding up a Pokeball, it opened and shot out a white light, creating a small blue Pokemon in the middle of the sand. Wooper, her starter pokemon.

Wooper just sat there, staring at Charmander and blinking a couple times. It didn't really say anything. Just stared.

It was one of Wendy's first battles. Her knowledge about pokemon weren't so great as well but she could identify the opponent as a water pokemon. She knew it was going to be tough but there was no way she and charmander are going down without a fight. In fact Charmander seemed to be even more pumped up having to fight a natural enemy.

"Alright, let's start this Rebecca. Good luck!" shouted Wendy across the empty field of sand as Charmander jumped in front of her. "Charmander, use ember!" The girl new that it wasn't going to be a really effective move but she thought that starting from safe distance is a good idea. The pokemon opened it's mouth and released bolts of fire from its mouth at the opponent.

Wooper inhaled and spat out bits of water that doused the fire easily and just stood there, not even budging. "Woopah!" It shouted, hopping up once and returning to its stationary stance with a very blank stare. "Alright Wooper, Water Gun!" Becca said with a laugh as Woooper inhaled very deeply and shot out a large stream of water at the fire pokemon.

Wendy panicked a little and didn't know what to do. Her Charmander was a little wiser though and instinctively managed to move out of the way since luckily the distance between two pokemon were big enough. Charmander then gave questioning look to Wendy. The girl shook her head, "Alright, fire attacks are no good. We need to get close to him. Use smokescreen to cover the area and then scratch" Charmander smirked and instantly covered big enough area with smoke so Wooper would be in it. Although the line of sight was broken Charmander dashed headstrong into the smoke towards the place Wooper had been, using scratch.

The Wooper didn't seem very phased by the smoke. His stationary position caused him not to be phased very much by the smoke and he just seemed to smile and stare off into space. "Woopah!" He shouted, firing a water gun toward the area Charmander had been staring, wiggling his tail very quickly. In actuality he was being very smart with his moves. Being a ground type pokemon as well as water, he was able to feel Charmander's movements in the sand as it shifted much easier than most would. He knew it was a head-on charge and fired a Water Gun toward where he knew he had been. Using his Tail Whip attack, he was trying to dispell the smoke screen, which seemed to be working.

Wendy didn't know what was going on inside the smokescreen and was waiting anxiously for something to happen. Suddenly Charmander flew out from it, falling to the ground and looking wounded. He had taken a full blow of the water gun. To make matters worse he was dashing right towards the attack, making it even stronger. "Charmander, are you okay?" asked Wendy from the pokemon worried. Charmander got up, looking more confident than ever and pretending that he didn't even have injuries. His body was hurting quite much already but he wasn't going to make his trainer worry even more.

Because Wendy thought that her Charmander needed to power up she commanded the pokemon to use Hone Claws. Charmander's both hands started glowing white, powering his scratch attack. "You need to get close to it. Run around a lot and use scratch!" Charmander nodded and dashed into the slowly disappearing smoke, running around in zig-zag manner, ready to dodge any attacks Wooper would throw at him and then counter-attack with scratch. Although he was hurting he wasn't going to give up just because of a injury.

Wooper was focusing more on his tail whip and thus didn't pay much attention to Charmander, causing him to get hit from the side by the scratch, propelling him through the air to Rebecca's side. He had a few scratches, but he didn't show he was injured and kept up his unnerving blank stare. "Use Recover, Wooper." Becca said, patting him on the head.

Wooper glowed for just a moment before healing over all of his scratches and scrapes and smiling. "Woopah!" He chirped with an impish grin on his face. "Water Gun." Becca said, sitting next to him as he started launching bursts of water at Charmander so that he could maintain control, just like Becca had taught him.

Wendy jumped up from joy. Charmander's attack had finally hit. The pokemon himself remained calm but couldn't help to conjure his slightly cocky smirk on his face as he kept on glaring at Wooper, trying to figure out what he would do next. For his surprise, and of course Wendy's as well, the pokemon recovered from all the injuries with just a simple move. "Whaaaat?" asked Wendy questioning but she knew she wasn't going to get an answer. After all it was a pokemon battle.

Charmander had understood what happened and instantly after the attack put up his guard again. He was pissed though. So much work and his enemy uses just some special ability to regain health again. He was so pissed that for a moment he thought about charging into Wooper's water gun. He realized what a stupid idea that was and attempted to jump away from it. Sadly the attack hit a small part of his left side which caused him damage. He was already pretty injured but the water attacks only fueled Charmander's rage. "CHAAAAAAAAAAR!" screamed out the pokemon as the flame of his tail grew tremendously.

Wendy identified that Charmander's special ability, Blaze, had started, which meant that the pokemon was quite injured. To make matters worse not only Charmander's blaze activated, but because of his anger his whole body was covered in flames. The pokemon's eyes glowed red from hatred towards the drowsy, clumsy, herpa derpa Wooper who was simply sitting there, recovering from his previous attack like it had been nothing. "What are you doing?" asked Wendy from the pokemon, looking confused. She had never seen Charmander like that before.

Without giving an answer the pokemon, completely covered with huge layer of flames, eyes glowing red, the flame of his tail being brigter than never, and his caws shining white, charged towards Wooper. Charmander wasn't going to hold back. He wasn't aiming to knock out the Wooper but to destroy the pokemon. His anger made him completely ignore the pain, and even actually make him move faster than in beginning of the battle. Charmander used Outrage.

Becca giggled looking across at the Charmander. It was using Outrage and the inexperience of his trainer said a lot. Becca sat back and waited until it was about a few feet away. Wooper was just relaxing, swaying back and forth in happiness. "Alright, close enough. Use Mud Shot!"

Wooper smiled and opened his mouth. "Woopah!" It shouted, firing a gigantic blast of mud from its mouth, the move was stronger than Water Gun, but less accurate, which was precisely why they had waited so long.

Wendy couldn't give any commands to Charmander. She was shocked about the pokemon's behaviour and didn't know how to react. Chamander in the other hand didn't even need orders because now he was fighting completely on his instinct. He ran forward as much as possible and just at the last moment he kicked his left leg to the ground and jumped towards into air with a flip. He was so close to Wooper's attack that he even felt the wind which the mud shot created. Charmander was now landing right towards Wooper, his flip generating even more speed for his attack. He was planning on striking Wooper's head with his right leg, and even if the pokemon dodged, he would land on his other foot which he could use to push himself off once again towards Wooper for a barrage of fist blows. He wasn't going to let Wooper charge up another long range attack, nor was he going to give Wooper a chance to use recover.

Wooper looked up and was genuinely scared of the look on Charmander's face! Those were the eyes of a killer! So what did he do? Natural intinct of course, he fired a water gun directly at him without a firm foothold, shooting him backward away from Charmander as well as aiming a water gun directly at the fire pokemon's face.
