The Challenge: Eterna (Kyu622 + Zorua)

The day after their victory at the Oreburgh Gym, Kyu Frost and Trucy Wright were walking through Eterna Forest to Eterna City to battle the Gym leader there, Gardenia. The two were enjoying themselves as they walked through the forest.

Suddenly, two men and a woman jumped down on them from a tree. Each had bluish green hair and wore white jumpsuit like clothes.
"Looks like we have something interesting walking around."
The woman was speaking, and the others smirked in agreement. Trucy picked up Apollo and kept him close, as she could tell that they were interested in him as well as herself. She judt hoped that they'd leave Kyu alone.

Kyu raised an eyebrow at the strange people, knowing full well why they were dressed the way they were. He silently motioned for Ralts and Dwebble to prepare themselves for battle, while at the same time he smiled. "And what would that be?" he asked the people with feigned kindness and curiosity.

"You there! Girl! You have some strange power, right? And that boy... He's also something special, right, boss?"
The same woman spoke, and a man who was sitting in a tree above everyone answered. Unlike the other two, he seemed to have more of an evil aura, and Trucy could tell that he was different. He even wore different clothes, and had dark blue hair. He wore a blue cape that covered half his body. His shoes were black and his shirt was white with the same inisgnia on it as the suits the others wore.
"Get both of them. Leave no Pokemon behind. Make sure you clean up after yourselves, got it?"
The men and woman smirked again, and began to send out some Pokemon.

"Well, that escalated quickly." Kyu joked.
Ralts and Dwebble moved next to Apollo, preparing for battle as the woman sent out a Krokorok while the two men each sent out a Golbat.
"You'll find that we aren't going to go down that easily, right?" Kyu said at the third man. Like Trucy, Kyu could sense a darker aura around him that was just...eviler than the other three. It unsettled him slightly, but he was determined not to show it.

The man just scoffed, and sat patiently in the tree.
"Apollo! Use Electro Ball on the two Golbats!"
Trucy shouted, and the Pikachu spun into the air and let loose two Electro Ball attacks at the Golbats.

The Golbat on the left easily dodged the Electro Ball, but the one on the right wasn't so lucky. It got hit full in the face by the ball of electricity, which sent it flying out of control, until it smashed into the ground in a faint

"Nice!" Kyu said, before turning towards the Krokorok. "Ralts! Use Ice Punch! Dwebble, use X-scissor!"
Ralts' fist glowed ice-white, and it lunged at the Krokorok. Dwebble scurried behind, claws raised and ready to strike.

Both attacks struck, and the Krokorok began to get angry.
"Krokorok! Use Rage!"
One of the grunts shouted, and the crocodile began to turn red with anger. He unleashed the move, and began to attack Dwebble and Ralts.

"Just what I was waiting for!" Kyu said. "Dwebble, Fury Cutter! Ralts, Ice Punch again!"
Dwebble raised its claw, slashing at the Desert Croc, while Ralts darted around behind it and struck with an ice-cold fist.

The second grunt suddenly realized that his Golbat was standing alone against the girl's Pikachu. Under most circumstances, he would have run, but his boss was observing the battle, so there was no way he could do that. All he could hope for was a lucky strike and hope it worked.
"Golbat, Poison Fang!" the grunt commanded. The blue bat Pokemon's teeth glowed with a purple light before it flew in at the Pikachu.

"Apollo! When it gets close enough, let loose Thundershock!"
Trucy shouted, and the red-vested Pikachu nodded. Sparks continued to dance from its cheeks as it waited, watching the Golbat with narrowed eyes.

The Krokorok was struck, but it only increased the strength of his Rage. He unleashed it again, this time at least 3 times stronger than before

The man in the tree continued to watch the battle, but this time, his legs were uncrossed and hanging over the branch he sat on, as if he wanted to be ready to jump in at anytime.

The Krokorok was so mad it couldn't attack straight, but it still managed to hit Ralts with a glancing blow, sending it flying into a nearby tree. It immediately got back up and attacked Krokorok with another Ice Punch. At the same time, Dwebble attacked with another, stronger Fury Cutter.

The grunt saw the Pikachu's attack coming, so he quickly improvised.
"Golbat, use Double Team followed by Poison Fang!" he yelled. The bat Pokemon instantly split into several copies, trying to confuse Pikachu. It and its copies zoomed in again, fangs glowing purple.

"Apollo! Don't be confused! The real one is to your right!"
Trucy shouted, her eyes turning a bright yellow. It was a very deep contrast to her usual blue eyes. They also glowed slightly, as they looked at the real Golbat.
Apollo trusted his trainer, and jumped at the Golbat that Trucy pointed out, unleashing Thundershock.

The moves once again successfully hit the Krokorok, and it fainted, making a dull 'thud' noise as it collapsed. The grunt who sent it out grimaced and sent the Krokorok back to its Pokeball.

Utterly surprised that the Pikachu had found it, the Golbat had no time to dodge, and it fell to the ground like it's companions had earlier. The grunt returned it to it's Poke ball and looked nervously up at the man in the tree.

Kyu congratulated his Pokemon, and turned just in time to see Trucy's eyes turn yellow. This must be what the man was talking about, he thought.

The man looked expressionless, but as he jumped down from the tree and stepped into the battle, he began to speak. His voice was chilling, and it sounded furious.
"Grunts! Can't you do anything right? I'll have to deal with this myself."
He took out a black Pokeball, and held it up for everyone to see. The grunts began to cower in fear at the sight of the black object, and they started to hide. Trucy even gasped when she saw it, as she felt a horrible presence come from it.

Kyu's eyes widened in shock as he too felt the presence inside the Poke Ball. His aura sense was being flooded by a wave of dark power, and he started to feel faint. "W-w-what in the world is that?" he cried.

The man smirked at their reactions, and let loose the Pokemon inside.
"Bow down before my main Pokemon, Spiritomb!"
An odd stone emerged from the PokeBall. On closer inspection, Trucy could see some sort of inscription of the stone, and then she saw an evil aura emanating from it. She grabbed Apollo and started to back away from it. It shook, and suddenly, a purple spirit jumped from it, scaring Trucy, and it began to laugh.

Kyu's eyes widened in shock. A Spiritomb is an extremely rare Pokemon formed by the fusion of 108 evil spirits which were then bound to a stone, Kyu thought. How can this man have one? First though, I must get his attention off of Trucy!
"Ralts, Ice Punch! Dwebble, Fury Cutter!" Kyu cried, releasing his aura to heighten his Pokemon's powers.

The attacks hit, but did little damage. The Spiritomb just shrugged them off, and continued towards Trucy. Trucy was terrified, and she kept moving backwards. A pebble stood in her way, and she tripped on it, ending up on the ground with the Spiritomb looming over her. Apollo struggled out of Trucy's grip, and stood between her and the evil Pokemon, protectively. The man laughed, then said,
"Push him out of the way."
The Spiritomb grinned evilly, and using a Shadow Ball attack, it struck the Pikachu, and he landed in the side of a tree from the impact. He slid down, too tired to fight back.

Kyu grimaced. He knew that there would be no way to defeat the Spiritomb easily, and he couldn't let it hurt Trucy. That left only one thing.
I know I've never tried this before, Kyu silently thought to himself. But please, for Trucy's sake, let this work!"
"Ralts, Dwebble, use all your power on the Spiritomb!" he cried. As his Pokemon lunged for the Ghost and Dark type Pokemon, he could already here the man scoffing at his actions. Now, while he's distracted, I must do this!
Kyu turned towards the man, both hands held out in front of him. He concentrated, and a ball of aura energy appeared. Concentrating, he fired the energy ball at the man's Poke Ball.

(how about both of us get captured by the man and we end up at the Galactic HQ, but escape with the help of Gardenia posing as a grunt?)
The ball of aura energy struck and knocked the PokeBall out of the man's hand, but he didn't bother to pick it up. One of the grunts who were nearby quickly picked it up and returned it to the man.
"No matter what you do, boy, you cannot possibly defeat me!"
The Spiritomb was still unaffected by the Ralts and Dwebble, but their efforts annoyed it, and it knocked them away with brute force. It was almost saying,
"Go away, you useless things."

(Sure. It could lead up to a potential Gym Leaders vs. Team Galactic battle which I think would be interesting)
Kyu's two Pokemon were knocked out by the Spiritomb. Kyu himself was completely drained by the effort of creating the energy ball, and he fainted as well.

Some hours later, he woke up to find himself inside a room with white walls. He groaned, still tired from the effects of the energy. "Where are we?" he asked tiredly.

There was the sound of rattling chains, and Apollo popped up at Kyu's side. Trucy was nowhere to be found, although her hat was lying on the floor of the room.

"Apollo..." Kyu said. "But where's Trucy?" he asked aloud. Bringing Ralts and Dwebble out, he used a little of his aura to connect with Trucy's Pikachu.

Memories flowed out from a few seconds ago. There was the man again, and he was carrying an unconscious Trucy. Apollo kept attempting to shock the man, but he was being restrained by a grunt wearing rubber gloves. The man chuckled at the struggling Pikachu.
"With this girl's power... We can finally capture the legendary Pokemon, Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina!"
The man seemed so happy about it. He left the room still holding Trucy. Apollo struggled free and went to follow, but the grunt grabbed him and chained him up to a corner in the room. The chains were long enough for Apollo to roam in the room, but not long enough to leave.

"The Legendary Pokemon.....so that's what they're after." Kyu said. He suddenly jerked back. "Oh, sorry Apollo! I should have rescued you first! Dwebble, use X-scissor on the chains!"
The little Bug and Rock type Pokemon moved forwards, and with one precise slice freed the Pikachu from its bonds.
"Now, we need to get out of here. Ralts, use Confusion to unlock the door so we can get out of here."
Ralts glowed with a blue light, and with a click, the door opened.
Kyu stepped outside and looked both ways down the hall.
