|~ Style of Battle ~|
Dark has a strong preference for the evasion of battles; however, this is because he strives to be a peacekeeper. When he does begin to battle, he will utilize his dark aura a little, attempting to use the environment to his advantage. Usually if he’s not keeping track of his actions, his battling will likely become offensive, though if he begins to weaken during this it will shift to defensive.

~Normal Form~
In his usual appearance, Chris looks a lot like a regular individual; however, he does have a few defining characteristics. His eyes are purely black. His hair is long, reaching approximately half-way down his backside, if not further. There are two triangular ears perched atop his head, the ears covered in a dark fur with hints of white fur covering the inner portions of his ear. His two ears are sensitive, being exactly like a canine’s. He has a tail dragging down to approximately his ankles, the tail bushy with black fur. The tail swerves a bit towards the tip as though providing his form balance. His feet have small claws as do his hands, his teeth sharper than normal from his aura; specifically, his canines are definitely longer than the average individual’s. Due to events in his history, he also has a ring stretching around his neck that is opened in the front, the color a dark gold. Six arm-like manifestations come from under the ring in his neck, and usually three are wrapped around each of his arms. He can utilize these manifestations for small tasks. | He also sports a long jacket, known as a duster, which spans to approximately his ankles in length. The jacket is a dark navy blue, closer to a black color-scheme than blue. To ‘match’ the jacket, he also wears a pair of dark jeans. He does not wear shoes due to an earlier-stated fact and attempts to keep his ears covered with a grey bandana. | He also wears a dark ring with small carvings of wolves etched into it on his right ring finger.

~Anthromorphic Form~
Chris is a bit taller like this, silky black fur covering now just his ears and tail, but his arms and so forth. His canines are clearly noticeable in his mouth, in particular the two that are in his upper mouth, leading them to stick out slightly. His eyes are a deep yellow, and the claws on his hands are a bit more curved. His legs are a bit curved themselves as if to look animalistic, though not at the same time. His ears are shifted slightly further apart than in his normal appearance. To match with everything else, a small snout forms, though it isn’t as long as a normal canine’s. | He still wears no footwear, and typically cannot wear a shirt, leaving his duster to keep him covered.

~Exceptions~
One exemption lies in Chris’ appearance. If the right criteria are met, he will slip into the confines of his mind, leaving an instinctual presence to take over and behave for him. If this happens, one eye’s sclera will be white and his pupil becomes yellow, the other’s sclera black with a deep, piercing red pupil for the other.

|~ Personalities ~|
Usually Chris is kind, acting angelic and desires to try helping others that he feels are in need; however, he does sometimes ignore the desire to help, usually for his own reasons. He can become lost in thought, usually over his past, an observation, or an action of his aura. If capable, he can be generous, and usually he double-guesses himself over an action, thought, or decision that he has made. Sometimes he can feel hopeless, and when this arises, or he is pushed to an extreme anger or sorrow (which usually makes him hopeless), he can fall into the deeper portions of his mind. When this happens, an instinctual presence arises. || This instinctual presence is not like him; it is extremely protective and psychotic as though an animal. (Fact is it’s an animal instinct) The presence is increasingly offensive, and can make a charge towards anything or everything to attempt ripping that object apart if angered / provoked. The presence is extremely protective of those close to Chris, usually to the point it will risk Chris’ life to protect them in some fashion. Essentially the presence lacks that much ability to reason, though Chris can combat the strange instinct by pulling himself back to such ability in his mind and overtaking control anew.

|~* Historical Facts / Biography *~|

01 ~ Flaring of Rage:
Born to an aura trainer father and a dark aura trainer mother, Chris found his first few moments of life in Olivine City. Partaking mostly to his mother's side of the family, he inherited her dark aura capabilities. His parents, more often than not, knew of the troubles of having a child due to their aura being exact opposite to their partner's; however, this didn't matter, as they loved each other. As such, during the time in which Chris was growing up, his parents kept his "abilities" a secret from him... They took this hiding so far as to denying expressions of who they were, suppressing their own aura in hope of avoiding any and all trouble because of the child. Though his mother was aware of the secret of his aura, Chris' father had his own to keep, even from his wife. The man was an owner, or rather, an administrator, of his own secret laboratory within the city of Chris' birth, located within the Johto region. Whereas he never spoke of the laboratory or hinted at it to his wife, he let Chris around the hidden building. His research was dark, a great secret, and involved the control of Giratina and two other special legendaries... His primary target at the time was Giratina, and at various points during his research he found Chris staring at mirrors and water. Unbeknownst to him, Chris could see the banished legendary within his own reflections, striking discussions with the pokemon whenever his father wasn't around... He wasn't quite sure at the time "how he would take it" if he told him, and as such, there was a trio of secrets in the family.

One day Chris stumbled upon a couple of reports his father had left behind... The adult was attending another expeirment, leaving his son to wander about the laboratory despite constant warnings for him not to... Chris read the mysterious reports on research, and even though he didn't understand it thoroughly, there were a few things he did, and they were shocking. He ultiately revealed portions to Giratina, and he wasn't quite sure how Giratina would take it, despite how long he had communicated with the pokemon. He was a bit relieved when the banished legendary seemed to not respond harshly. One day, Chris found his father approaching him. He was unaware what he would request seeing as how his father typically ignored him over the research he was conducting; however, after eight years with nothing but warnings, his father asked him to partake in a "game of sorts." Being the age of nine, Chris didn't suspect anything despite the boggled state his mind was in over why his father finally wanted to do something with him. Since he had no suspicions, and he wanted to make his father happy, he accepted the request. Having forgotten the reports he had discovered by this point, and unknowing of his father's true intentions, he went blindly. The dark truth was that his father had plotted to use him from the start of his research, viewing his child as a tool. To make things worse, his love for his wife was also false; she was yet the first tool to be utilized.

Moving forward, Chris observed his father creating a raucous with his aura, chanting all sorts of phrases and statements that were beyond his own comprehension. He could only pick out a few names: Giratina, Dialga, Palkia, and Arceus. He watched as his father somehow managed to attract it before the adult managed to snatch a piece of the pokemon's immense anger with his aura before sealing it into a crystal, the object of which turned purely black. After the pokemon seemed to disappear angrily from the mirror, no blame of which was pinned to Chris, the child's gaze shifted to the crystal as the mirrors surrounding his father shattered into pieces. Staying silent, he followed his father into a new room down the hall of the one that they had just occupied upon request, hearing his father say the game had been setup. He was handed the black crystal, and unable to understand what it was there for or why his father snapped a photograph of the object in his hands, questioned his father about it and insulted the game, calling it boring. His father, of course, showed no retaliation, though with swift movement, forced the stolen anger into his child's heart and mind, the crystal dissipating after it cracked. It left no trace, not even a miniscule one.

Standing where he was, Chris finally began to contemplate; his father had angered his friend, and mirrors had broken, and now his father had caused the crystal to disappear and a surge of energy to pass through him. His contemplation didn't help his understanding, Chris finding himself dismissed and confused. His father, during the next few days, kept observations of his child, hoping for something that would not come to pass. Chris had minimal aura due to his age, the legendary pokemon's flicker of anger grasping to it to grow, resulting in what his father declared negative results. Finally admitting that Chris had been a part of another experiment, his son seemed to be a bit pleased, though his expression turned a bit solemn upon hearing that it had ultimately failed. Chris noticed that after the incident, his father wanted to abandon the laboratory, finding some consolation about the mess in telepathetical communication with Giratina. While he did so, his father packed each and every piece of his reports and research into corners of the facility, or at least, he hid a majority of it. Chris was actually speaking to Giratina about staying with him for a lifetime as the doors of the laboratory were opened a last time, Chris finding his arm grabbed as his father began to drag him away. Chris begged for his best friend to help him after listening to his father say they were leaving, the laboratory slowly becoming devoured by the vast amount of trees surrounding the premises. From that point on, the flicker of rage Chris' father had instilled in him began to grow at a quickened pace from Chris' anger and sorrow from being taken away.

Due to anger and sorrow, Chris began to isolate himself from others, which wasn't so difficult considering he didn't have that many friends. He was being educated properly by his parents, resulting in his lack of a necessity for school attendance. Every once in a while he did manage to glimpse Giratina's presence from a mirror, his father still unsuspecting of the connection holding the two together by spirit. This connection, without fading, seemed to become second priority to Chris, seeing as how the legendary pokemon began to fade from his thoughts, leaving him with an interest in the isolation of dreams and sleep.

02 ~ Path to Exile without Hope:
Turning thirteen years old later on, the past flare of rage and anger was still feasting on Chris' rage and being strengthened. It had come to control portions of Chris' ever-growing aura, and as such, began to act out with the new abilities. Chris' memory was the first method in which it acted out, tearing his past memories away from him. It then began to act out in other ways, desiring to return from where it had come from as well as to grow infinitely strong by utilizing Chris. The flare's primary goal was to be recognized so that Chris would begin to train his aura, leading to its own increase in power. Upon taking notice of his aura, Christ pondered exactly what was happening. During the four years that he was in isolation and rested, he had read and dreamt of many things, but in particular, shape-shifting and wolves. Both ferocious and strong, wolves were quick and precise. Wanting to be like one, he began to research, leading him to comprehension of his abilities, and eventually his own little experimentations behind his parents' backs. He attempted to sculpt his body, teh only one he possessed, and greatly failed the first time. He was merely a weakling in the art of dark aura, and as such, was left with his consequence; pointed ears and a tail of a wolf on his normal appearance. In an attempt to hide these features from his parents, he covered his ears with a bandana and hid his rail around his leg, and he succeeded. Furthermore, during the time he was isolated after the failure, he began to gain more strength from his training, and then attempted for a second time to sculpt his body, failing again in a different way and draining himself.

Ending up causing a small commotion from the fact he collapsed from the draining of his energy, he had no time to hide as his parents ultimately discovered him and what he had learned. By the time they had located him his form had turned back, the two finding it apparent that they couldn't hide the presence of his aura any longer, or theirs for that matter. As such, they consulted with each other, coming to the conclusion they had to reveal things to him as they called him into the room, explaining everything. This, of course, entailed what they themselves were; masters of their respective auras. The fact seemed to further dissapoint Chris, and though they attempted to explain their reasoning behind keeping his abilities a secret, he fled to his room, leaving them with the feeling they should give him time for the information to sink in. What they weren't expecting was that, alone in his room, the flare of rage became utter hatred and destructive desire. In specific, the target of the destruction became none other than his father, especially after being allowed to temporarily remember the moments he was dragged from the laboratory. The first war for control began, Chris screaming from his room until one of the two sides took hold; the victor was the flare of rage, now a full persona of Chris' hatred. It rushed from his room, lunging at his father and taking him down to the floor. Afterwards, in front of the child's mother, his father was drained of his aura to the bone, giving the ruthless personality a great boost in power. It was enough to permit the persona to control Chris further.

Chris' mother pushed at the memories of what she had seen; she knew very well that she couldn't erase the actions of her child, even though it hadn't truly been him. Using her own aura, she desperately shoved the personality of rage and despair into the pits of hid mind, where it began to linger and think. She was still unaware of the experiment in which her husband had pushed him, and she would likely never find out; however, it wasn't why he attacked his father that was on her mind at this point; her son was in need of mental assistance, and as she searched, she referenced him as "Dark" to psychologists... Over a little bit of time, Chris had been sent to various psychologists, each with a different practice. Chris' mother hoped to have him "healed," though even with their best efforts, all of the psychologists were unable to stop the personality and settle it to a position of management. Left with the lingering question of how the personality had come to be, Chris' mother ultimately refused to investigate, finding it clear that even if she had figured out, it wouldn't give her control of Chris or the other persona embodied by him. She also considered, honestly, what other townsfolk had begun to consider since her husband's death, becoming suspicious of them. This was proven when she took her son and they moved to the Kanto region in Pallet town.

After all was said and done, after a few weeks in Kanto, Chris' mother kicked her son from their home, refusing to pause even a moment to let him grab belongings he owned. She didn't desire him to be around anymore, and despite it upsetting her, called him a monster and sent him away to a forest in banishment. This forest was where Chris began to linger, his mother holding a deep desire that he would perish in nature, left with her greatest fear of his ultimate return, knowing that if he were to, in some way, return, she would likely be exterminated to him.
