Comet Over the Horizon

Artemis was very sick of flying. Though doing it on Lykouleon's back was much better than her Druddigon's. Excitement flooded through her as she finally saw the green view of Fortree from the sky. Lykouleon dived toward the ground, and they made their landing.

Looking at the view of Hoenn, Artemis released Tinlet, who has never seen her home region. She gave an apreciative nod. Feeling he would attract too much attention, Artemis returned Lykouleon to his ball.

She was awaiting someone who apparently knew tons about the Legendary Jarachi, her next target. Though she was hesitant to think he would be reliable, he was the only lead she had. With the comet getting nearer every day, there wasn't much time to locate where Jarachi would appear. She had to work fast if she didn't want Jarachi to slip from her grip.

Chase then leapt down from a tree and said "You took your time then didn't you" approaching Artemis, his young age being clear that he was thirteen. He then said "The name's Chase, Chase Hall. What's yours?". Chase then held out his hand for a handshake, Cubchoo in his other arm and Jirachi on his shoulder. Whilst waiting for Artemis to shake his hand he said "This here is my Cubchoo and my Best Bud Jirachi, we've known each other for ages since the last time the comet flew over". Cubchoo began talking and Chase nodded seemingly saying random things. He then said "Cubchoo says hey by the way" Jirachi also spoke but, only telepathically with Chase as he (I know he's gender-less but still) said "Jirachi says Hi too". Forgetting to clarify that he could talk with pokemon.

(Don't worry we can make the facts adjust for the story with the frequency the comet flies over so, we both got out Jirachi's during the Millennium Comet period)

Artemis stared wide eyed at the Jarachi, but made a swift recovery. "My name's Artemis, and this is my best friend, Tinlet," she gestured at her Gardevoir. Tinlet waved a hand in greeting. She smiled at the boy and his Pokemon and said her own quiet hello.

"I think we should get right to the point. Where can I find Jarachi when the comet passes over, seeing as you have one, I assume you know where." She didn't speak down to him like he was a kid, but instead spoke as if they were equals.

"Nice to meet you too" Chase said to Tintlet before saying "Well then if you think we should get straight to the point then let's" he thought it over and said "There are two ways of finding Jirachi either A like me Jirachi comes and finds you in it's crystallized form or B from what my best bud here's told me, we can go to Forina, which is where Jirachi hibernate's during the time it's here. Lucky for you though, I know just where that is with the help of Jirachi don't I" Jirachi agreed smiling happily. Chase then said "So it's up to you but the best place to start the search and to start checking is like where I found Jirachi, the Carnival which is only in town for the Millennium Comet". He then asked "If you want so we can give your Reshiram a rest we can fly to the festival on my Flygon".

He took Flygon's pokeball from his waist and threw it high into the air calling "Help us out Flygon" Flygon emerging in a flash of white light, Chase then caught his pokeball and put it back on his belt. Flygon meanwhile circled them in the air a few times before landing next to Chase. They then had a conversation for what seemed to be five minutes before he said "Flygon says he'd be glad to help out, but we just had to work out the quickest route there, Flygon knew it well though so no probs".

Artemis nodded. "I doubt one will come and see me, so that leaves Forina as our best option. I'm sure Lykouleon would enjoy the break, flying all the way from Sinnoh to Hoenn must have taken a lot out of him. He still doesn't trust me full through yet.

She hesitated a fraction of a second before walking up to and touching Flygon's neck. "If your Pokemon knows the way," she said, "we mine as well head out. I don't want to miss my chance."

Chase nodded saying "He does, he just told me the route so, hop on" he climbed on himself as Flygon leant down, pulling on his goggles he uses for flying. Chase then put his hand out to help Artemis get on.

Artemis grabbed Chase's hand and pulled herself up behind him. She wasn't sure how a Flygon flies, so she was ready to hold on for dear life if nessassary. "Off we go," she smiled, bracing herself both for the flight and for what is to come.

Chase smiled "She asked for it Flygon, Go!" Flygon immediately taking off at break neck speeds to Forina. In mid air Chase passed back a pair of flight goggles to Artemis to help her out as they flew through the air nearing Forina within seconds. Chase looking down at the massive forest. Jirachi was laughing as they flew through the air, sitting on Chase's lap, Cubchoo in Chase's arm both giggling, and both with flight goggles on.

Artemis immediately used her legs to tightly grip Flygon. She held on as they sped at a speed she thought would be impossible for the amount of passangers weighing Flygon down. Thankfully taking the goggles, as dust kept making its way into her eyes, she put them on. "How much further?" she asked.

Chase laughed and said "Not much further, look down, that forest is Forina were already here Flygon's just looking for somewhere to land ok".

Artemis took in the sight of the forest bluring by, it was an oddly pretty sight. "Sounds good," she said. "My Druddigon could help look if you'd like, he'd probably love a chance to stretch his wings. And meeting another Dragon type would be nice for him, I don't think he's ever seen a different region before, I caught him back in Dragonspiral Tower."

Chase nodded and said "Ok then that could be quite helpful" still continuing to scan the forest floor for a landing spot.

"Ok then," Artemis replied, taking a ball out of her bag and releasing Deus. "Deus, do you mind helping us find a place to land out here?" The Druddigon nodded, and dove closer to the treeline before disappearing out of sight. He would be able to manuver better because he didn't have any passangers. Artemis continued scanning the ground from atop Flygon, but still didn't see any viable ground.

After a few minutes passed, the unmistakable roar from Deus signaled that he had found something. It came from an area a quite a bit left of them.

However that quite a bit left was nothing for Flygon who flew there with speed slowing down as he descended before coming to land on the clear spot. Once he'd landed Chase climbed down before helping Artemis get down despite being probably only three quarters of her size.

Artemis thanked Chase for the help, then ran her hand down Deus's muzzle as a thanks. The Druddigon was, however, focused on Flygon. He approached his dragon counterpart and examined him. Seeming to like what he saw, he tilted his head in greeting.

Artemis scanned the trees surrounding them. "So I take it we walk from here?"

Chase nodded "That's right and Jirachi can lead the way seen as he knows the area best" Jirachi taking lead as, led Chase and Artemis through the forest, Chase putting his Flight Goggles up on his forehead, he still had Cubchoo in his arms. Chase then noticed an Absol up ahead blocking the path.

Chase got ready running forwards and getting into position he then said "Let me handle this one Artemis" taking a pokeball from his belt and throwing it high into the air calling out "Go Haxorus" Haxorus appearing in a flash of white light ready for battle. Chase then called out "Now Haxorus let's catch this one so go easy on it" Haxorus nodding. Chase then gave the instructions "Ok Haxorus let's use Dragon Claw" Haxorus' claws glowing a shining blue as Haxorus lunged at Absol attempting to weaken it enough for Chase to catch it.

Absol, Male, Lvl 35

Before Haxorus could attack, however, a ghostly force slammed itself into Haxorus, a Sucker Punch [EM] guarunteed to hit because he chose to attack. This blow allowed Absol enough time to avoid the attack, and a glowing on the tip of his horn showed he was ready to launch another, and it would hit again if Haxorous attacked.

Chase smiled calling across to Absol "Nice Moves. Now Haxorus use Dragon Dance go" Haxorus immediately making mystical rhythmic movements that caused his Attack Power and Speed to go up a lot. Chase then smiled calling across "Again" Haxorus repeating the maneuver as this continued to go on 5 more times, at which point Haxorus' Attack Power was at it's peak being maximized as was his Speed. Chase had done this knowing that should Absol try to prevent this, it would let down it's guard and be open to an attack, However now, Chase hoped that Haxorus would be faster than Absol's Sucker Punch Attack. Chase thereby calling out "Go Now Haxorus Dragon Pulse" Haxorus rearing back his head before thrusting it forwards unleashing an almighty attack on Absol, the attack in the form of a turquoise sphere, being sent at Absol with great precision and power, but just little enough that if it did hit then Absol wouldn't faint, Haxorus having controlled his power. Chase hoped this move would work as for Sucker Punch Haxorus would have be up close to be struck, this move being a ranged move though.

No move would be quicker than Sucker Punch, unless it too was a priority move. Luckily, Absol had let down his guard, and had not chosen to do another Sucker Punch. Instead, he chose at the entire wrong moment to rush at Haxorous with a Bite attack. He rushed directly into the Dragon Pulse, and was knocked almost to a fainted state. He couldn't move, and this was a perfect opportunity for a catch.

Chase smiled un-clipping a pokeball from his belt and enlarging it before throwing it at Absol calling "Let's go Pokeball" the pokeball being released as it flew through the air towards Absol, seemingly about to catch it.

Absolve was sucked inside the ball, and after three suspenseful shakes, he was caught.

Congeatulations! Would you like to nickname your new Absol?

"Nice catch, Artemis complemented, leaning against a tree. She took a few steps forward, ready to go.

(Chase Hall)(Nah I don't wanna nickname him. He is: Protective of Chase and his pokemon, always willing to do his best and will assist him whenever necessary.)

Chase retrieved his pokeball and attached it to his waist before removing Haxorus' pokeball from his waist returning Haxorus to it after saying "Thanks Haxorus, great job", He then said to Artemis "Thanks, So then should we continue" moving along the forest path in search of the Jirachi Stone's (That's what i'm gonna call it to make it easier) cave.

"We shall," Artemis said, taking a few more steps. "Can your Jarachi lead the way, or is it just guesswork? Have you been to the cave before?" Anticipation was seering through her, she felt that she was getting closer to the illusive wish-granter.

Chase sharply said "Yeah, Jirachi knows the way it's his home and it's really hard to forget where your home is" Jirachi laughed at the comment as, he regained the lead telling Chase who repeated it "The cave's just up ahead ok" he then smiled to Jirachi saying "Good work" soon the cave came into view and Chase said "There it is, told ya he knew the way", he then ran ahead knowing Artemis was sure to follow. Once inside the cave he saw a purple jagged crystal which began to glow telling Artemis "It's all yours go ahead but be careful they can be a bit disoriented when they first come out of hibernation". Chase stepped aside and watched, Artemis to see her collect the Jirachi Stone.

Artemis nodded and stepped up to the stone, she clutched her last masterball in her hand, and swallowed. She reached for the stone and grabbed it, then waited to see what would happen next.
