Adventure.... START! (Was moved to here.)

"Hehe."
Sora smiled as Joker walked over to Twilight's side.
"Joker the Zorua, reporting for duty!"
Sora laughed at Joker.
"Since Joker is so pumped up right now, why don't you try beating the leader first?"

"Why not? Er...where's the gym? Sorry, I have a terrible sense of direction and I don't know this city..." She said looking around.

Sora looked around, and even climbed on top of a large rock to look. She saw the gym's symbol, and pointed at it.
"I see it! It's right next to a Pokemart."

"All right. Watch it! You might fall!" She cried, flailing her hands wildly like her hair was on fire. Even Akina seemed to be anxiously chirping.

Sora smiled and said,
"No I wo- WOAAH!"
While she was speaking, her right foot slipped and she fell off the rock backwards. Joker yipped in alarm and sprinted over to her, shouting,
"Oh no! Are you alright?!"

"Meep!" Twilight uttered as Sora fell right on top of her. She crashed to the ground, narrowly missing Akina who managed to get out of her ball and saw the two incoming trainers. She scrabbled out of the way and slowly padded back to Twilight, buried under Sora. "Ee...vee?" Akina muttered.

"S-Sorry, Twilight!"
Sora said, while struggling to get up. A black paw reached out to her, and she happily accepted it. The paw was strong, and helped her stand up.
"Thanks, Joker."
She said, relieved, but when she looked at the paw's owner, she realized who it was.
"A Riolu?!"
(You want to be the wild Riolu?)

(Uh...the moderator chooses the pokemon which appears really. Unless it isn't a wild encounter ._.' )

Twilight struggled up, her hair ruffled. "Er...no problem!" She said, hastily setting her clothes and hair right. "A Riolu! They're said to be pretty rare!" She commented, looking at the small, blue dog-like pokemon. The bashful pokemon raised a paw and smoothed it's ears, fidgeting.

(sorry. XD I just needed something to happen.)
"That makes me kind of want to catch it!"
Sora said, with her eyes twinkling.
Joker stepped up and asked,
"Need my help?"
Sora shook her head.
"It'd be a type disadvantage! I'm going to use Vanille, instead okay?"
Joker didn't seem to mind at all.

The Riolu didn't really seem to want to battle as it stared at Sora and Twilight with bewildered eyes, wanting to flee yet something holding it back.

"Do you have a trainer, little buddy?"
Sora asked the Riolu, hoping it would shake its head.
Joker waited patiently for the answer, as she was excited too. If this Riolu became Sora's Pokemon, she would have a new friend.

The Riolu shook it's head vigourously, still looking bewildered. "Wait Sora..." Twilight said, looking closer. On closer look the white fluffy fur near the shoulders of the Riolu seemed stained by something. The ears, despite being smoothed, seemed ruffled and an ear seemed to be slashed in the corner. Riolu's paws were in blisters as Twilight gently lay him down and looked at his pads.

She looked up at Sora, her eyes darkening with worry.

Sora gasped at the many wounds on the Riolu, and took out a Potion.
"This might sting a little, but hang in there!" she said.
Bringing the potion close to its wounds, she carefully sprayed each of the areas afflicted.
"There. Is that better?" she asked, hoping the Riolu was okay now.
Joker also walked over and asked the Riolu what happened.

Riolu cringed as the Potion was sprayed on. It sort of hurt but it knew it was a good hurt. Like when one pulls a thorn from a foot. With much waving of hands, it quickly explained what happened to Joker so that it may be relayed onto Sora.

Apparently it's parents had been caught by trainers, something it had been taught in early childhood to avoid. It was driven out of it's own burrow by a family of Sandshrew and had got caught in a fight, out of which it barely escaped.

Joker told Sora what happened, and Sora started to tear up.
"That's so sad!" she wailed, and began to hug the Riolu while crying. Joker sighed, saying that this happened every time Sora heard a very sad story.
"If you're going to cry every time someone says something sad like that, I might as well call you the Crying Trainer." Joker commented, kind of teasing Sora. Sora ignored Joker's comment and kept holding onto the Riolu.

Even Twilight couldn't help a tear roll down her cheek. The Riolu fidgeted, feeling uncomfortable in the grip of the unknown trainer.

Sora noticed the Riolu's uncomfort, released the Riolu.
"Why don't we teach those Sandshrew not to mess with you?"
Sora said, her eyes showimg a determined fire.
Joker agreed with her.

Riolu looked aside, a single drop rolling down it's fur. It looked up at Sora with eyes full of hope. Would this seemingly-kind trainer really help him?

"Joker! Are you ready to kick some Sandshrew tail?"
Sora asked the little Zorua. She nodded, and gave the Riolu a smile.
"You can count on us, buddy!" she told the Riolu, and the two asked the injured friend where the Sandshrew were at the moment.

Riolu gave a nod and ran off in a particular direction, making it clear Twilight and Sora were to come. It ran on until they reached an ashy sort of place where total silence bore down. Large amounts of sand were flying out from a hole. Riolu seemed jittery and retreated a step or two.

(Yay! You're back! But I had to put this one on hold. Is that alright? [The character limitation rule has forced me to 'retire' one of my inactive characters which was only Sora.])

(Uh...not sure I get that. I'll be on for short periods of time. I won't be very active really ;~; )

(Sora Kogane is no longer a retired trainer! Yay! XD)
Sora walked carefully through the ashy area.
"We should be careful. The Sandshrew can come from anywhere."
Her Zorua also treaded carefully, taking a step every few seconds. She was also listening for any activity underground, widening her eyes as she heard a sound.
"Sora! Watch out! There's something tunneling over in your direction!"
The Zorua shouted VIA telepathy.
(You want to mod the Sandshrew?)

(Sure~)

Two yellow faces peeped over the ashes. Two more faces, larger than the first, peered over the first two. Two Sandshrews scurried out and a couple of Sandslashes followed, albeit casually. With a quick flick of her wrist, Twilight hurriedly called out her Wooper and Akina stood at the ready.

Sora watched them with careful eyes. She tried not to move, as she did not want to provoke them.
"Joker... Get ready. We're about to beat these Sandshrew and Sandslash!"
She said to her Zorua, and the Pokemon nodded, happily.
"Riolu! Please, stay back. I don't want you to get more hurt then you already are."
