"Come on Spark, we need to be faster."

Shin was out training with his partner. The pair were running laps around Pewter city. This was their fiftieth lap that they were finishing.

"Four hours. That's not fast enough. I know we can do better."

He and Spark finished, with Shin in the lead. The pair took a break, near a nice shady tree on a riverbank. Spark quietly fell asleep on Shin's lap, and shin was scratching him behind the ears. They could get faster, but this wasn't their worst time. Back when they first started this morning routine of theirs, it took them a whole day. By the end of it, they were tired, hungry, and covered in sweat.

"Well, let's go visit the pokemon center."

While Spark was likely tired by now, Shin had energy to spare. He picked up the small pokemon in his arms and rushed to the center as quickly as he could. The trip normally took about fifteen minutes on foot.
