Sailing Away, Amidst the Ocean's Morning Breeze

She had finally last the Pokemon that was tailing her, but it was time for her to get going. In front of her, she could see the wide ocean blue. Alice called out Lapras, having it materialize in the water in front of her. She got on it's back and Lapras began to head out to sea. Alice watched behind her as Olivine began to grow more and more distant. She kept an eye out for any Pokemon swimming around. If she saw any, she would need to go for a swim and have Lapras battle the encounter.

A Lumineon leaped clear of the water, flew right across above Alice and flopped back into the water. It seemed to be showing off in front of the girl. It bobbed beside the Lapras, seemingly friendly.

Alice was startled when a fish Pokemon decided to leap from one side of Lapras to the other, clear over Alice's head. Alice stood and dove into the water, kicking back and trying to swim a fair distance away. "Lapras! Use Thunder on that Lumineon!" She commanded dubiously.

Lumineon was struck dead on as it wasn't expecting an attack. All it wanted to do was play. It looked hurt and tried to swim away, it wouldn't go somewhere it's tricks weren't appreciated.

Alice's eyes flashed with determination as she ordered her Lapras to attack again. "Thunder!" She shouted. Lapras obeyed once more, not hesitating to blast another bolt of lightning from the sky aiming for Lumineon.

Lumineon saw that coming and dived away. Instead it hit an unsuspecting Tentacruel who happened to be innocently passing by. It grew angry and teamed up with Lumineon. It gave a call for support and suddenly a whole colony of Tentacruel appeared. Alice was beaten by numbers alone.

Things were getting real. Lumineon managed to make Lapras attack a Tentacruel, which in turn summoned several more. Alice knew she had to play more rough. "Alright Lapras, let's do this!"
"Ice Beam! Make a glacier!" She needed a better defensive position, so she ordered Lapras to freeze the top layer of water above the water Pokemon so they would be forced to surface one at a time on top of the new terrain.

The Tentacruel's weren't going to be put off that easily. Half the Tentacruel's used Acid, melting the ice, while others used Screech, breaking the ice. With swings fro their large tentacles, they pelted Lapras and Alice with ice chunks.

This wasn't good, she would need to be desperate. The Tentacruel had easily melted Lapras' glacier with Acid. She scanned around for the Lumineon from before. She needed another partner if this were to blow over anywhere remotely in her favor. She readied a Pokeball, ready to throw it the moment she spotted Lumineon if it was still around.

For now, all she could do was have her Lapras play defensively. Swimming behind Lapras, she ordered Lapras to use Ice Beam again. "Ice Beam ahead of you, create a wall!" Lapras created a solid shield of ice between Alice and the strong Tentacruel. She knew they must be close together, it was time to unleash her secret weapon.

Alice closed her eyes for a moment, concentrating as the clouds began to grow dark. Not much longer, it began to rain. This was due to her control over water as a water elementist, she was making it rain. Now that it was raining, she knew Thunder would be much more accurate, and with the Tentacruel close together, she could hopefully zap more than one at once. "Alright Lapras! Thunder!" She said. Lapras dropped a thunderbolt from the sky straight down towards the group of Tentacruel.

The Tentacruel quickly dispersed, trying to avoid the Thunder. But it wasn't long before they regrouped. They started stabbing the ice with Poison Jab and combining it with Acid, melting slowly-growing holes in the thick ice. Lumineon bobbed on the surface, watching, when suddenly it shot clear of the water, cleared the wall and flopped on the other side,swimming round and round quickly, using Whirlpool. Alice would have no chance of entering the treacherous Whirlpool, Lumineon in the eye, controlling it.

Alice saw that the vertical slab of ice seemed to help more than the flat glacier she had planned before. Now she was able to keep things in her favor. However, Lapras had been hit with a few ice shards and was bruised as a result. She knew Lapras would get hurt even further if it were to come into contact with their Acid attacks. She decided to repeat her same strategy. The Thunder had caused them to disperse and she wasn't sure if any of them were injured, but she had to press on.

"Reinforce the wall of ice! Ice Beam!" She commanded. Lapras followed her orders, building up the wall thicker with ice.

"Alright Lapras, Thunder again!" She ordered Lapras to use Thunder on one of the Tentacruel. Hopefully she could at least knock one or two out and intimidate the rest so they don't attack as fiercely.

The Tentacruel were tired. They couldn't evade the Thunder and almost all were struck, but they weren't down yet. Leaving the Whirlpool to be, Lumineon Bounced and while in the air, used Gust at Lapras. Suddenly it had a brainwave and used Attract. Being a male, Lapras should be attracted.

Alice saw that the Tentacruel were growing weaker from Alice's repeated Thunder attacks. But eventually Lumineon surfaced from the Whirlpool which was starting to suck Alice and Lapras into it. Lumineon also made matters worse, using Gust to blow a small tornado. Reacting quickly, Alice raised her hands to make a small wave of water appear to try and reduce the power of the attack, but Lapras was still hit. Lapras was starting to grow tired, which is why when Lumineon used Attract, Alice had to be hard-pressed to come up with something to defeat it. Not wanting to risk Lapras not obeying her, she threw a Pokeball at the Lumineon while it was in the air. Hopefully due to it's previous injuries from a direct super-effective Thunder attack it would be caught, nullifying Lapras' attract condition. But that wasn't all she did. "Sing!" She ordered Lapras. Despite being madly in love with Lumineon, it's eyes following the Water Pokemon out of some strange desire, Lapras began to methodically Sing, hopefully causing the surrounding Pokemon to fall asleep.

Lumineon was caught off guard. It didn't even get time to react. The pokeball plopped into the water with a small click.

Meanwhile, there was a situation in the Tentacruel group. One Tentacruel was melting the ice wall when suddenly the whole thing fell over...right on the boss of the group. It promptly fainted and was vulnerable to a capture. The other Tentacruel turned on the guilty and chased him right to the horizon.

Alice was surprised when the ice wall crashed down on top of one of the stronger Tentacruel, causing all of the Pokemon to more or less flee in terror from her. To make matters better, she caught the Lumineon from before. But she also considered capturing the Tentacruel as well. She stared at the giant jellyfish for a few moments before finally deciding to chuck a Pokeball at it.

Alice decided to head in the direction of Olivine's Pokecenter to get Lapras and her new Pokemon healed up. Hopefully she would reach the building unhindered.

Lumineon's pokeball wiggled a little, signifying that it would like to come out. There were no obstacles and Nurse Joy was there as Alice entered.

"Welcome. How may I help you? We can heal your pokemon to perfect health. Shall we heal your pokemon?" She asked cheerfully with a sweet smile.

"Indeed" Alice said when the nurse asked her if she would like her Pokemon healed. Alice handed over the three Pokeballs to Nurse Joy. She then walked over to the Pokemart and bought some things, coming back for her Pokemon.

Nurse Joy was just tapping in a password and healing her pokemon. Thank you. We hope to see you again. She bowed as she handed out her pokeballs on a tray.

Taking Nurse Joy's Pokeballs and placing them within Alice's deep pockets, Alice turned and walked away, making sure all three of her Pokeballs contained Lapras, Lumineon and Tentacruel respectively while she walked back towards shore. She walked right out into shore, calling out Lapras and sailing right out to sea.

Alice unfortunately stumbled across a Gyarados eating. Thinking she was going to steal his food, he attacked with Dragon Rage, spewing orange flames tinged with blue straight at the offending Lapras and her offending rider.

Seeing the Gyarados in the sea, Alice jumped off Lapras and dove into the water. She concentrated again as she ordered Lapras to try and dive underwater to dodge the attack. Lapras dove straight down, narrowly avoiding it, but from under the water, Alice ordered it to attack. "Thunder!" She blurbed, Alice hearing her and calling down a wicked thunderbolt from the dark rainy sky in the direction of Gyarados.

The Gyarados did an impressive twirl and missed the Thunder altogether. Then it suddenly lunged forward at a considerable speed, looking for a Bite.

Alice had to react fast. She was underwater and her Thunder attack had missed and Gyarados was barreling towards her. Thankfully she had just bought a Master Ball from the Pokemart and this Gyarados was a perfect catch! Alice smirked as she ordered Lapras to Sing and threw the Master Ball at the Gyarados, wondering what would happen.
