Shadow Cat strikes

Avalon stays hidden in the nightime shadows watching for her prey like a hunting cat or a waiting spider. It was a quiet place with no one in sight, the streetlights mostly dead giving off hardly any light to see. She hears footsteps approaching and looks. A business man coming home after working late at the office. 'Perfect' Avalon thinks her eyes gleaming red in anticipation. As he comes near she darts out knocking him down. She didn't have to but she liked to see the fear on the face of her victums as she drains their Aura, their life force away. The man doesn't disappoint and even struggles but Avalon keeps him down easy. His struggles get weaker the more aura she takes from him to the point she doesn't have to bother holding him down, he was to weak to go far

Spiritomb watches the stranger from the shadows.

Spiritomb: "Look at this, someone is trying to usurp our villainous role. We can't let that slip. I'm cursing the fool. With something special, too - this should be especially torturous for evil people. I call my invention "the curse of goodness". Bwahahahah!"

Saber didn't say anything. She just watched as Spiritomb floated up behind Avalon, who's busy with her victim. The hunter became the prey in this food chain. Spiritomb formed a black, ethereal spike out of the air and drove it right into Avalon's back.

Spiritomb: SURPRISE!

The spike wasn't real so it didn't hurt her, but the curse was placed. The "curse of goodness" forbids the victim to do evil deeds.

Avalon found she couldn't finish killing the man though it mattered little. Even though she was forced to stop he was already to far gone and dies anyway. "Why you annoying ghost!" Avalon says wanting to blow the spiritomb to kingdom come but found she couldn't do that either. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME!" She shouts

[color:8ddb=violet]Spiritomb: "Tohohoho! How do you like my special brew? This is the price to pay for treying to out-evil me. Let's see how you get your aura without being able to lay a finger on anyone."
Spiritomb was very pleased with himself. Saber still stood behind a corner and only listened to the conversation.

[color:8ddb=violet]Spiritomb: "You can't even hit me back like this, so I should take advantage of the situation. I can't use human money, but robbing a murderer has a delicious ring to it."

Spiritomb floated close to Avalon and yanked her wallet out of her pocket.

"Well I don't have any money. And I'm not trying to out-evil anyone. There are others of my kind much much worse. And all my kind are murderers, we have to steal aura to live since we are shadows" Avalon says

"Doesn't mean I have to talk either" Avalon says walking off towards the prison. Killing someone on death row wouldn't be evil since they were going to die anyway, and her method could be even gentler then the toxin that is normaly used when she wanted it to be

Annoyed at her behaviour, Spiritomb decided to explain the way of things.

Spiritomb: "Taking someone's life is always evil. It means breaking their life before they're destined to die. Someone on death row is destined to die on the execution, not by your hand. In any case, you should tell me about the others before I feel like placing a serious curse on you."

"If you remove this curse I might talk. You place anymore I defiantly won't talk" Avalon says already knowing how to remove the curse herself, but thinking she might kill two birds with one stone so to say

Spiritomb: "You're still talking back? Suit yourself. Huzzah!"

A black spike extended from the ground behind Avalon and pierced her back. It didn't harm her either, but placed the "curse of inversion" on her. It lasts only a few hours but completely inverts someone's default personality. This replaced the "curse of goodness".

"Oh, I'm really sorry but I'm forbidden from telling anyone besides other dark aura trainers" Avalon says sweetly her personality reversed

Spiritomb: "Ah, don't worry, m'dear. My trainer just so happens to be one."

Saber walked out from around the corner, projecting an artificial field of dark aura around herself.

Spiritomb: "She's trying to find her friends but doesn't know where they are. You have to help her! She's so lonely!"

Spiritomb sobbed.

"I'll stick with her. Besides I can't tell even others without permission" says Avalon

Spiritomb adopted a dramatic tone.

Spiritomb: "We have an important message to deliver to each of the Dark Aura trainers, and we must hand it to them personally. They will have great misfortunes befall them if they don't receive it. Surely you don't want that!"

"Why not? We've never helped eachother before" Avalon says

((Only way your getting anything is taking and keepingthe curses off of her))

[You're meta-gaming? How boring. I'm not playing along.]

Spiritomb: "This is useless. We're out of here. Allow me to leave a souvenier, though... my fellow evil-doer."

Another spiritual spike extended from him and pierced Avalon's forehead. The "curse of voracious hunger" makes a dark aura trainer need twice as much stolen aura to survive, making them even more murderous. The last curse is replaced.

Spiritomb: "We'll track the others easily enough. They're pretty obvious types anyway."

Spiritomb evaporated into the air. Saber faded from view as well.
