The Dragon Dominates! [SHADOW ONLY]

Capturing a Sentret and a Hoothoot back at Newbark, Juan goes on with his little by little domination. The battles served a good warm-up but the team had to pay the prize. The powerhouse Bagon won't be able to fight as strong as he was but his fighting spirit is indeed unbelievable. The endurance and loyalty of Sentret helped a lot in order to capture an underestimated Hoothoot.

"Thank God for a new view. But oh well, not a Gym in this town which means this is boring. Oh well, but the wild Pokemon are ripe for the pickling. I wonder what Cherrygrove got in their hood for me. Time to savor the hunt and the kill." said Juan with a sinister smile as he look around. Only to be challenged by a Trainer.

-Yeah I know but I need money. :|-

A trainer with a Cyndaquil stood in Juan's way. It was a young boy, probably a new trainer based on the look of things. He had a couple pokeballs at his waist, indicating he too had caught some Pokémon. "What do you say to a two on two battle?" the boy challenged. "We can make it a double battle if you prefer too."

Juan smirked. "Counter-proposal. Three on three." said Juan with a mocking smile and a taunting eye-brow raise.

The boy shook his head. "I'm the challenger, and I'm the one who proposed a two on two. My other Pokémon isn't ready for fighting yet."

"I was actually making it easy for you." said Juan sending out the newly captured Hoothoot and the Sentret. A combination of the two weakest he has. "Prepare to be squashed." said Juan, using his catchphrase.

"Tsk," the boy said, Cyndaquil entering the area between his trainer and the opponent. The boy grabbed another pokeball, tossing it up and lalowing the Pokemon to come out. Before them, the creature materialized. It was a blue butterfly, with large feet and little hands. It was a Butterfree! "Alright, go! Cyndaquil, use Double Kick on Sentret, and Butterfree, use Confusion on Hoothoot!" the boy ordered suddenly. Butterfree began to glow, her psychic power aimed at Hoothoot. Cyndaquil launched himself at Sentret, aiming to kick her not once, but twice!

Cyndaquil, Male. Level 6. Butterfree, Female. Level 10.

"Show me what I've taught you back at the Pokemon Center!" said Juan talking about what he told his Pokemon after his Pokemon got healed back at the Pokemon Center. The two Pokemon smirked as Sentret simply hopped back evading the attack and Hoothoot simply flew up making the Confusion fail. It then dive-bombed towards Butterfree with its beak, using Peck. Sentret after hopping back, jumped and surprisingly turned its attention to Butterfree and used an unexpected Thunderbolt! If the two attack hits, Butterfree should faint upon getting hit by both of its weakness!

Unexpectedly, Cyndaquil Tackled his own partner, knocking Butterfree out of the way of the attacks, quickly rolling back himself to evade them. He turned his attention to Sentret again, charging in with another Double Kick! Butterfree turned to Hoothoot again, once more glowing with Psychic energy, using its Confusion on the bird! "You think you're the only one who doesn't have to command their Pokemon?" The boy asked with a laugh, sneering.

Hoothoot got hit. Sentret, the more experienced one got hit! Super effective, it quickly got weak but it used the momentum to quickly fight back with a Shadow Ball aimed at the Cyndaquil! Juan did not see that coming, he was shocked for a bit but then a burst of happiness filled him. He smirked and said, "Finally I found a trainer not stronger than me but as strong as me. Put up a good fight. More time to savor the kill." said Juan. The two Pokemon fell on the ground getting hit. Juan felt one of his Pokeball move, Bagon's Pokeball! Juan got the message but he whispered, "Calm down, buddy. You'll be my last resort." said Juan and the Pokeball stopped moving. Bagon is getting excited! Then Hoothoot was there flying beside Sentret then it used Hypnosis on Cyndaquil!

The boy saw Juan whisper something, eyeing him warily. Was he planning to cheat with that last Pokemon of his? He disregarded it for now, choosing to focus on the battle at hand. He glanced over, seeing Cyndaquil get sent flying back by the Shadow ball, tumbling to the ground. He shook it off with his eyes closed, caushing Hoothoot's hypnosis to go unnoticed. He opened his eyes again with a cry, creating a large black cloud of smoke aimed toward Hoothoot to lower her accuracy. Butterfree, on the other hand, swooped in from behind Sentret, going in for a Tackle!

Hoothoot noticed Butterfree and quickly tried to intercept it with her own brand of attack, Peck flapping her wings as quick as she can as the smoke clears out, but still a chance of missing should be expected. Sentret knew he's in a bad position here having caught up in the middle. He used Dig and hid underground. Unseen by his opponent, he could be dangerous now.

Due to the smoke, Butterfree had already well moved by the time Hoothoot swept in with her attack. However, butterfree and Cyndaquil paused when the scout had gone underground, peering into the hole for a moment. "Butterfree, pick Cyndaquil up so he doesn't get hit by dig!" the boy called.

"Free!" Butterfree called back, fluttering over and picking up the small flame mouse, who doused his flames to avoid hurting Butterfree. She began to glow purple, aiming another confusion for Hoothoot, while Cyndaquil churned out smoke like a chimney.

Hoothoot grinned as she quickly flew up as high as she can. But Juan decided to interrupt Hoothoot. He took a Pokeball out and returned Hoothoot. "Let's go, Bagon!" said Juan as the Bagon came out of its Pokeball. Sentret alone in the ground, was shocked by Juan's interruption. He made a plan but then Juan ruined it, but he always has a Plan B. Bagon used Rage on the Butterfree as Sentret jumped out of the hole and used Shadow Ball. The two ball of energies can be easily avoided but why do that then?

The boy quickly whipped out his pokeballs, returning both his Pokémon. "You need to study up on the rules of battling. You're a pathetic trainer. A two on two double battle means you can't switch out your Pokémon." That was all the boy said, walking off without giving Juan a second glance.

Juan was about to say something when he remembered something. He forgot that a rule was made and that was also what he learned back at the trainer school. "Crap... my second Trainer battle came out as a failure..." said Juan with a sad face. Sentret and Bagon looked at their trainer with a smile as they cheer him up by telling him that every defeat comes with a lesson and a real Trainer must accept his failures. Bagon also told Juan something. He told his trainer that Juan is being boastful lately, a bad practice. Juan realized his wrongdoings so he smiled upon his Pokemon helping him go back to the path of the righteous trainer. "You're right... karma probably... Thanks guys! You deserve another rest, I underestimated that Trainer. That only means you guys should get stronger." said Juan going to a Pokemon Center to heal. He then taught his Pokemon new tactics, this time, he's sure it won't be against the rules. He also reused the same TM he used with Sentret. This time, he used it with Bagon for him to learn Flamethrower. He also taught Hoothoot the move Shadowball.

Learning a lesson and the team rejuvenated, Juan walks towards the bushes encountering a wild Pokemon.

This time, it was a small yellow bug Pokemon. Though it seemed less than intimidating, the poisonous barb on its head looked like it could cause some trouble. It stood in Juan's way, glaring at him and his Pokemon with malice, "Weeeedlllleeee..."

Weedle, Male. Level 9.

((Instant level up for Wootwoot.))

"My luck's starting to turn its back on me." said Juan with a subliminal message. He also hates Weedles next to Bidoofs. "You're up, Hoot." said Juan. The owl Pokemon came out of its Pokeball as it stood on the ground staring at the Weedle. "Peck." he ordered with calmness but still, no matter how powerless a foe looks like, it should not be underestimated. He's applying the lesson he just learned a while ago. The owl Pokemon spread its wings and flew over to the Weedle for a Peck!

Instead of moving, the Weedle did something surprising. It braced itself, aiming its barb up at the swooping bird, making it so that if he got hit, that poison stinger would surely jab into it. This was a common move used by Weedle, its Poison Sting attack!

Hoothoot managed to throttle back up evading the move then it threw up a Shadowball!

Weedle didn't seem the agile Pokemon, and for the most part they really weren't. Though they could be surprisingly quick in a human's eyes, in the Pokemon world they still had to scuffle around on their tiny legs. Thus, the Shadow Ball successfully landed, damaging Weedle. He glared at Hoothoot, shooting out loads of sticky string in attempt to tie the bird up, and slow it down.

Hoothoot simply flew to the side and used another Shadowball evading the Stringshot.

Due to Hoothoot's movement, Weedle was able to use it in conjunction with his own, barely evading the Shadow Ball. He again looked to his target, shooting out more string!

Hoothoot tried to evade but a string caught its left wing. Speed lowered! "Peck... Yeah, Peck!" said Juan. Hoothoot knew Juan didn't say that normal and that's a code. If Juan goes to say something in the unfamiliar way, that means he should attack with a plan. Hoothoot swooped down acting as if using Peck but it quickly throttled up then it flew down again in a dive-bomb position with a Peck to the Weedle's body.

Unfortunately, Weedle wasn't such an easy sucker. He had the majority of his body tucked under his large head, aiming his barb back up at the slowed Hoothoot once more.

Hoothoot was unable to dodge that. He got hit and throttled up but the poison attempt failed. "Peck." said Juan as Hoothoot go for a dive-bomb again.
