At a young age, he likes taking pictures of Pokemon, scenarios, Trainers, Gym Leaders, Gym Badges, and other things. He also has incredible talent in painting and sketching as well as researching things that are unknown to the Pokemon World. He can be considered a "scientist in the making". He loves his Cyndaquil so much and tries not to get him in harm's way.

He only has one fear even though he's just a kid, Bug Type Pokemon.

History:
He grew up in New Bark Town, assisting Professor Elm around his lab when he was just 8. He'd cheer the professor up, carry stuff he can carry around, play with some Pokemon and stuff. That made him want to be a professor like Elm so he abandoned his dream of being a Pokemon Trainer. Instead, he just took o being a researcher, photographer and artist at the same time. He got his parents permission to go out on his own but of course, the parents wanted to make sure he is safe so his dad entrusted his pet Typhlosion to watch over Jackie or else he'll be blamed for it.
