We Waited So Long For This

The new trainer, Sairento Tora waited four years after getting a Trainer License before he could actually travel. He gets up from his bed and goes to the washroom to take a shower. After taking a shower, he goes back to his room and grooms himself. He didn't want to wake Growlithe up because there is still much time and they have all day. After grooming himself, Growlithe wakes up, yawns, and stretches his limbs at the same time.

"So you're up. Morning!" said Sairento as he approach Growlithe and carry it with his shoulders. The Growlithe responded with a cute smile and confirmed if this is the day they've been waiting for so long. "Yes, Growlithe. This is the day. This is D-Day." said Sairento as he sit on the bed and massaged Growlithe's body for a while. After toning Growlithe's muscles, he starts on grooming Growlithe until he's ready as well. "Gotta go downstairs now, buddy. I can smell mom cooking our favorite, I want breakfast and am hungry." said Sairento as he open the door and Growlithe rushed downstairs.

"Easy there, fella, you might fall again like yesterday." said Sairento. As he walk downstairs, he heard Growlithe barking as he get the attention of Sairento's parents. "Oh look, Growlithe's awake! Sairento, are you up as well? Hon, give Growlithe his breakfast now." said Sairento's mom, Sonya Tora. "Yes I am. What's for breakfast?" asked Sairento as he walk towards the kitchen. "I gave Growlithe his Pokefood with of course, my secret ingredient to make it special. Your mom cooked your favorite, a sunny-side-up egg for you and some fried rice." said his dad, Phoenix Tora.

"Cool. Hey mom before you start preparing my things and putting them on the backpack, I'll tell you not to. I be the one to do that." said Sairento smiling. His mom laughed as it said, "Oh, no my baby boy. Mom does it." she teased. The Growlithe finished up his meal and is just waiting for Sairento to finish it. "Just a minute here, Growlithe. This'd be the last time I'll eat a food cooked by mom and prepared by dad." joked Sairento. "You're really gonna live up to your word that when you come back, you're the champion?" asked his father smiling.

"Yeah dad. You know me, am a man of my word. Everything I says happens." said Sairento with a big grin.

MINUTES LATER...

Sairento and Growlithe said there farewells to the family remembering their faces for their not used to being away from the family for a long time. "Gee, feels indifferent wandering around Pallet as a Trainer and Starter, right?" asked Sairento. The Growlithe answered with a bark. "Am a Trainer now. I'll be able to do and live my dream to find a Legendary Pokemon and beat all of them, and be a Legend Killer." said Sairento. The Growlithe smiled as well knowing he'll also be able to defeat a Legendary.

He sees a girl who he briefly remembered seeing before around the neighbourhood. She was walking at a fast pace in front of him. She had a Metapod curled around her neck, giggling excitedly. She was texting someone on her phone, but seemed to be very bad at it. She was sending roughly one word every minute. Eventually she flipped the phone over. She must had sent it.

She continued walking. She was still going fast. She was just about to slip her phone into her pocket when Sairento realized that if she successfuly managed to insert it into her pocket, it would for dure snap and break.

(1 and 1/2 paragraph. That's it, you're on. Let's see if you can keep up with me. ;))
(Wait, Trainer School? He never attended to one. He just read books and stuff. But, nah, it's okay since I haven't really pointed that one out on his History. :P)

"HEY, THAT WILL SNAP!!!" shouted Sairento pointing his Index Finger on the girl's phone.

The girl gasped. She put her phone in a different way and turned.

"Thank you! I've broke it so many times and my parents would have killed me. Nice to meet you. My name is Tsukasa Hiirugi. I just started my journey. I only have Kisu, but I really want to catch lots of Pokemon. I like battles, but my goal is to become a great co-ordinator!"

When Tsukasa introduced her Pokemon Kisu gave a "Meta!" sounding excited as she had met a new friend. Kisu was wondering if this boy had any Pokemon, as Kisu was a friendly Metapod who enjoyed the company of others, especially Tsukasa, her friends and other Pokemon.

Seeing a familiar face, Sairento smiles and lets his Growlithe out. "Am Sairento Tora. Haven't I seen you around here before? Kisu... I guess that's your Metapod. Here's my Growlithe, my only one. Haven't caught anything yet. This is my first day of being a Trainer. Why the hurry anyway?" asked Sairento. The Growlithe looked at the girl and the Metapod nervously at first but he smiled realizing that maybe his trainer knows the girl. The little Growlithe barked cutely at the Metapod. The Growlithe asked Sairento to challenge the girl into a battle.

"Growlithe, not now please and that's no fair, you obviously are in an advantage. Sorry for his behavior, he's just so excited to get into an official battle." said Sairento scratching his head and smiling.

"I'm just really excited!" she said. She turned to Growlithe gently patting him on the head. She felt his fur was very soft and he was a very cute Pokemon. She smiled at his bark.

"Well I wouldn't mind a battle. I know you have an advantage but battles are about fun right? Plus I'm a co-ordinator and you're a trainer, so we can show each other our different perspectives of battles! But of course it's your choice!" she said smiling.

Tsukasa liked making people happy and had a feeling that the two wanted to have a battle.

"Actually, may I call you Sai for short?"

"You may call me anything you want as long as I agree with it. So yah, you may. Well, if that's the case then... Not to boast here but Metapod, if you get fried, please forgive me." teased and joked Sairento with a smile. The Growlithe howled to its excitement. "Yeah, never saw a co-ordinator fight before." said Sairento. Growlithe walked just in front of Sairento in a battle ready position. "Girl's first." said Sairento talking about who's going to attack first.

(Okay, let's go. HIT THE MUSIC WE COMPOSED AND MAKE IT A REMIX! :P)

"Thanks. I'm glad you're polite!" said Tsukasa with some boys in her class in mind.

Kisu flew from her neck in to her hand. She smiled. Kisu glowed white as the attack Harden was used. Tsukasa was running at Growlithe with high speed. She swung it at him. If it hit, then the attack would have boosted power from Harden and white sparkles from Harden would fly from the attack.

The moment Growlithe saw the Harden, he knew what'd Metapod do so he got out of the way with so much ease. "Attacking with Harden face-to-face is horrible. Just a friendly advice." said Sairento still with a smile so as to remind Tsukasa that he is not boasting. "Growlithe, obviously, Ember!" said Sairento. The Growlithe remained to where he is now and opened its mouth unleashing small balls of flame heading towards the Metapod which would most likely be a one-hit KO considering the level and type advantage. Unless Metapod manages to evade.

But Sai had forgotten that Kisu was using Harden. Tsukasa held Kisu in a protective manner, Harden completely shielding them from the attack.

"Wow that was a really strong move! If it wasn't for Harden we would have lost right now for sure!" said Tsukasa complimenting Sai.

She continued to advance towards Growlithe, the same outcome if it would hit.

"Nah, actually Ember is the weakest Fire Type offense. Thanks anyway." said Sairento. Growlithe really wanted to avoid that one but he just stood there and took the hit. "Why didn't you dodge? Ember!" said Sairento. The Growlithe gave a sinister smile before opening its mouth again and unleashing small balls of flame. "You're done." said Sairento with a big grin.

"Wow that looks strong!" said Tsukasa jumping out of the way. She mangaged to doge but still got hit by a little of it doing a little damage. She tumbled and landed on the ground.

"That really is powerful! If I win this battle it's all due to speed, because it looks like one hit and I'm a gonner!"

"Metapod!" said Kisu enthusiastically. What Kisu was trying to say was that Tsukasa shouldn't give up.

Tsukasa smiled as she understood what Kisu was trying to say. She patted Kisu gently while geting up swiftly. She then got a look on her face that seemed to mean she had an idea. Her smile glowed as she seemed to think it would work. She help Kisu like a shotgun.

"String Shot!"

Kisu launched a series of string as Tsukasa aimed Kisu like a gun. It was almost like silly string, except it was very sticky.

If it were to hit the string would swirl around Growlithe tying him and then tie around his mouthing taking away his Ember attack before linking to the ground and sticking and Growlithe would be immobilized.

Growlithe didn't let them get the chance there. He immediately used another Ember which is supposed to burn the string and hit Metapod as well. "Hey! You're not allowed to interfere in a Pokemon Battle! A Trainer can't help her Pokemon like that, that's cheating and it's not allowed." said Sairento, the smile gone away. Then he smiled again and said, "Okay since you're in a disadvantage, I'll let that. But hey, don't do that to others." He watched closely if the Ember will work as planned.

"What do you mean? You mean how I'm holding her?" she said getting a bit panicky.

"But at Trainer School they said I could but what if they're wrong! What if I've been cheating for all these years!!" panicked Tsukasa.

"Meta! Metapod!" said Kisu trying to comfort her trainer and calm her down. When Tsukasa panicked she always went overboard with the battle.

She quickly realized the Ember at the flames burnt done the string heading for Metapod.

She however had a plan. She quickly ran around Growlithe as she tied him in it. Regardless of whether it hit or not, she also got Metapod to end the line of string so that it wouldn't reach Kisu.

"Now you're really cheating!" said Sairento. The Growlithe blowed a few balls of flames around his body setting him free from the sticky strings. "Battle stopped! We win. You lost by disqualification! Haven't attended the Trainer School but I read tutorial books that are the best of the best!" said Sairento getting a Pokeball and withdrawing Growlithe back. "They taught you that at the School? No offence, huh. Just two person talking." said Sairento with a smile again. He then tried to remember if it really is allowed or not, but he has a big guess it is not allowed.

Tsukasa fell down on her knees. She bowed her head.

"I appologize for doing the wrongs that Chie-Sensei has taught me."

She put Kisu around her kneck and stepped through into the forest, now walking slowly and dully.

"Huh? HEY!" said Sairento going after her and stopping her. "Don't feel bad, it's okay. If am angry, I wouldn't even teach you that." said Sairento with a smile. "If you're traveling alone, well... maybe you could use a companion?" said Sairento.

"Really? You don't think I'm dumb? Or flighty? Or anything?" said Tsukasa smile growing on her face.

"Nah. Just thought that you'd welcome the company." said Sairento still smiling.

"Thank you" said Tsukasa.

"Thank you" said Tsukasa.

"So where you headed? I mean, where we headed? Viridian City, right?" asked Sairento.

"What's so fun being a co-ordinator?" asked Sairento because he doesn't see any entertainment being one.
