"I'm not a perch." Azenith Morias sighed indifferently as her pokèmon, Porygon-Z, rested casually on her shoulder. You would think a man made 'creature' such as Porygon wouldn't get tired: but the pokèmon in question has often shown erratic and unethical behavior: constantly confusing it's trainer to no end. It's even had excessively violent reactions to being put into a pokèball, which was really unnerving, considering it's never had any emotion chips installed. In any case, she didn't mind that much- Porygon was light weight anyway, and was capable of floating. It was pretty much as light as a feather, really.

Reaching down and fumbling into her pockets, Aze pulled out a small slip of paper with a few notes jotted down in small print. "It should be around here, right?" She asked Porygon, rhetorically. The virtual pokèmon droned a response, eyes swirling as it registered the data, before giving a short grunt of an answer. They were looking for a pokèmon called Abra ▬ it was pretty common, especially around these parts. Aze definitely needed a psychic type, whether she used it for battle, or not. It was too useful: although the added side effects, like headaches and nausea, were certainly a downer.

From the bushes a rustling noise could be heard. A long drawn out "Nyahhh" followed, a drowsy sound indeed. The voice was rather cat like, and soon it could be seen why. A small cat like Pokemon emerged from the bushes, stretching its forelegs and yawning wide. The yellow pendant on its forehead would make it obvious, a Meowth had been spotted.

Ick. Aze definitely wasn't a fan of cats - especially prissy looking ones that stand up on their hind legs the majority of the time. Porygon froze for a moment, before buzzing and twitching wildly. A moment later it was still once more- and a click echoed throughout the surrounding area. The trainer her rolled her eyes: that was just Porygon registering the Meowth's presence and info. Probably noting the size and movement patterns, too. Shifting her weight, Aze felt something, a lump, rub against her back.

Undoubtedly the pokèmon egg in her backpack. She recently purchased an egg, and although she wasn't allowed to ask for a specific species of pokèmon ▬ she was able to request a certain type combination. And, if she remembered correctly, there was only one species of pokèmon with a ground/ghost typing.

"Alright- let's get started." Azenith gestured for Porygon to approach the wild feline. They'd been working out a strategy recently, and the trainer wanted to see how it would work. The normal type hovered forward, gazing at the Meowth passively, awaiting an order. "Nasty Plot!" Azenith started, crossing her arms over her chest with a huff. Porygon's eyes swirled dramatically, before narrowing. A static recording of maniacal laughter echoed from Porygon's beak: a little something Azenith installed because she thought it would be funny.

The Meowth simply sat down at the ground, tilting its head curiously at the Porygon-Z. "Nyaa?" it asked cutely before scratching behind its hear with its hind leg as a normal cat would. It then stood up, taking a few steps forward realizing the other had initiated a battle with it. Its claws became unsheathed, fur standing up bristled and fangs bared. "Nyaaa!" it cried, charging at the enemy and attempting to jump and slash at it with its scratch attack!

Alright, they were lucky the cat started off with a weak attack. Porygon-Z lingered for a moment, it's plot unraveling quickly. Let the puttykat approach, and then... BAM, right in the kisser. Porygon-Z shot out a powerful thunderbolt, one with approximately 200% capacity, as Meowth lunged forth with a scratch attack. The moment contact was made: the virtual pokèmon would immediately return the favor with said thunderbolt, and by waiting - it almost completely ensured that it wouldn't miss. At least, that's what Azenith liked to think.

As Meowth's claws made contact, it felt a quick jolt of electricity pulse through its body. The cat had a yellow glow to if for a moment as the charge was going through its every fiber, making each strand of fur stand on end. It was rather powerful for the level, seeing as Porygon-Z was a fully evolved Pokemon. Meowth took a good deal of damage, stumbling back once the attack was finished. It seemed a bit toasted, as shown by a smoking whisker. Unfortunately, now it was angry. "Nya, nyaa!" it cried, baring its fangs, jumping to attempt to land on the foe and sink its fangs into it with a bite attack!

"Conversion 2!" Azenith belted out as the smoking Meowth screeched, charging in with another attack. Porygon-Z buzzed as the creature's teeth slammed against it's hard exterior, before initiating the conversion [2] sequence. A moment later, it's already solid exterior morphed into something much, much harder. Another moment would pass, and Porygon would attempt to slam itself harshly against the Meowth with a tackle attack. "The thunderbolt did less than I thought it would..." Azenith muttered to herself as she took notes. Next time she'd have to start off defensive and then take her time in increasing the fire power of Porygon's attacks...

Meowth felt its teeth sink in successfully, but was then pushed out as the Porygon converted...into a steel type! "Nya..." it said, now worried as the enemy slammed into it. It tumbled backward a few feet, now looking scruffy and weakened. "Ny...nyaah..." it cried softly, struggling to stand back up. It finally did, legs shaking barely able to stand on its legs. Yet, it attempted one more attack, running up as best it could, scratching at the foe once more.

A disturbing screech pierced Aze's ears as the feline's nails scratched violently against Porygon's newly formed armour. It damaged it a little - although very little. Porygon didn't feel pain either, so there was no hesitation in the attack that followed. Another 200% thunderbolt; the cat really didn't learn, did it? Making contact was the last thing it wanted to do: it just gave Porygon more chances to hit it head-on. Zap, boom. Fortunately steel wasn't exactly the most conductive metal out there, so there wouldn't be any side effects to using such a powerful electric attack close range. Azenith shielded her eyes with her arm, wincing at the bright light; the result of the sudden discharge.

Meowth felt the full force of Porygon-Z's might, discharged directly into its body. She fell over, panting a bit, and twitching while at it. There was no way she was able to battle any longer. Meowth is no longer able to battle, Porygon-Z is the winner! Porygon Z gained 6 exp...Porygon Z leveled up! Porygon Z is now level 6! Meowth dragged itself away, back into the bushes and seemingly vanished.

Not bad, the girl shrugged as she thought to herself. Porygon didn't take much damage whatseover ▬ but next time she'd prefer to land a one hit K-O and avoid excessive effort. Battling is tedious and boring if it lasts longer than planned. "Good job." Aze praised Porygon-Z as it hovered back to her side, plopping back onto her shoulder. It seemed pretty proud, although it was impossible for anyone other than Azenith to tell, considering Porygon never changed it's blank expression. She would give it a treat- if it actually ate. Granted, Porygon eats when given food, but... Aze had to wonder where the food goes. Maybe there's an internal stove, or something.

Time to move on- Abra awaits, dammit.

Before Aze could even make another decision, the feeling that something was watching them would wash over her. It was certainly an uneasy feeling if anything, but each person handles that differently. A few pang-like sounds could be heard, the sound of teleportation! Surely, there must be an Abra nearby! But...where?

Zwoooop! Porygon's already detached head did a full 360, scanning the environment. Aze didn't necessarily mind: there were wild pokèmon everywhere, so she was already growing accustomed to the feeling of being watched, or even followed. That wasn't really a good thing though, was it? She held a hand to her forehead, brushing the bangs aside. Psychic pokèmon usually gave her a headache when they were around- but she didn't have one, yet. It might've only been because she wasn't close enough though.

-Ploop!- The sound went, a slight purple flash and there it was. The mostly yellow figure, long tail, and slanted eyes that seemed to always remain closed. An Abra. It tilted its head at Aze, then vanished again, reappearing behind her! Was it playing some sort of game or something? A rather unfair game of tag, perhaps.

It hasn't attacked- that was a good sign, in a sort. Aze, excited due to having found the pokèmon she was originally searching for, rolled her neck slowly as she thought back to the last battle. She told herself to start off defensively: but seeing as the psychic type didn't see to be violent or anything, there wasn't really a point to that, was there?

Instead, they could start charging the thunderbolt attack. Fortunately, they could do so without making it obvious. Porygon-Z's 'face' remained motionless, and emotionless, as it used "Nasty Plot", pumping up the potential of the upcoming thunderbolt attack by 100%. The trainer breathed shakily, turning slowly to glance at the Abra without frightening it. Hopefully it wouldn't run away, upon realizing that it's caught her full attention.

Abrea simply tilted its head curiously at the girl, before a thin purple beam appeared. It quickly vanished, the beam going shortly afterward. It had teleported yet again. This time, it appeared right in front of Aze.

Porygon-Z remained silent, using another Nasty Plot... 300%

That's, obviously, worth three thunderbolt attacks. That could easily knock out a single Abra, right? If it didn't it would at the very least paralyze it... Right!? Aze silently calculated to herself as she smiled warmly down at the curious Abra. Wait until it teleports one more time, and then strike the moment it reappears. Abra are a pain in the ass to find, even more to catch... But that just means they'll be more useful later.

Abra tilted its head, as though listening to Aze' thoughts. Had it heard? Did it know what she was planning? Abra glowed a purple hue, seeming to be planning something large. The air crackled around it, as though Abra was bending reality inward. This of course would just be an optical illusion set forth by the readying of a move...but what was it planning?

Whatever it was- it took it's move, and gave Porygon-Z the opportunity to move in. Hopefully the Abra wouldn't by some freak chance, finish it's preparation and attack, intercepting Porygon's move. Besides, Porygon was fast: and whatever the Abra was doing, it definitely didn't look like a teleport. Thunderbolt- A bolt of electricity was hurled towards Abra, spreading out rapidly into something of an area attack. Thunderbolt was a big attack to begin with, which was why it was pretty hard to dodge. At 300% capacity it was even larger, and more powerful. Hopefully it would at the very least graze the Abra and paralyze it, giving the team more of an advantage. But, Aze wants a one hit K-O; simply to prevent the creature from escaping like the last.

-Ploop- Abra teleported behind PorygonZ before unleashing the Psyshock it had stored up! A physical form of psychic energy materialized in front of Abra, then shot out at PorygonZ in a wave-like pattern! Seems it was a smart little devil.

Well, it seemed that this Pokèmon would definitely prove useful. That is, if she could add it to her team. Teleport was an exhausting move- so she would think that the Abra would eventually get tired of using it in some time: but not before Porygon Z got tired from excessive usage of Thunderbolt. Time to take a short rest- or at least, a break from any attacks that require a handful of energy. And an added resistance to the potential damage Abra could dish out wouldn't be such a bad idea either.

"Conversion 2!" Aze cried out the moment Porygon Z took the psychic attack, whatever it was. It was a shock to her - Aze was under the impression that Abra didn't, or couldn't learn any moves until it had evolved into a Kadabra. This one must have been born with innate moves that increased it's offensive prowess: or it had been abandoned by a trainer who had taught it extra moves via tutoring or some other means. The first was more likely than the latter.

Porygon's chassis immediately folded over itself, relocating the plates so as to provide better defense against the "Psychic" type moves that Abra seemed capable of using, despite being, apparently, so weak. The trainer couldn't decide if this was a pleasant surprise, or an annoying one. If she caught it, yes it'd be far more useful - but at the same time the catching process would be that more difficult. All it really took was one clean hit by thunderbolt however: seeing as Porygon Z's special attack was operating at 300% efficiency. "Just wait until it gets tired." She advised the robot, as it stared blankly at it's opponent. He seemed to be registering the Abra's battling capabilities while he assumed an evasive/defensive position.
