Evolving Chimchar

After doing some push ups, sit ups, jumping from branch to branch and other exercises. Chimchar is ready to go.

"2 more levels and you're going to evolve into a Monferno. And then you'll learn Mach Punch that we can use against Brock! Care to do some battles?" asked Rai
"Chim!" Chimchar nodded and shot Embers on the sky.
"Best way of training is a trainer battle. So we can get strong foes." said Rai while finding a trainer.

Chimchar pointed at a trainer and they approached it.

"Excuse me! Hello there, my name is Rai. Can I challenge you to a Pokemon Battle?" asked Rai politely.

"Who? Me?" said a Bug Catcher "Sure, I'm Bug Catcher Jerry" he said "I have 2 Pokemon" he said, throwing one Ball which released a Metapod

Rai's eyes slowly turned red as the battle begins.

"Let's begin the battle. Chimchar, Ember." said Rai.

Chimchar used Ember!

Metapod was hit an took damage.
"Harden" called Jerry and Metapod increased it's Defence by hadening it's Shell

"Again..." said Rai.

Chimchar used Ember!

Metapod took more damage.
"Tackle" called Jerry and Metapod Lunged at Chimchar, atempting to Hit it with it's Body

"Jump and use Ember..."

Chimchar jumped and used Ember!

Metapod took more Damage
"String Shot" Metapod shot sticky Thread at Chimchar which would lower it's speed if it stuck

"Grab the string and pull Metapod closer to you while using Ember."

Chimchar landed and grabbed the string and pulled Metapod closer to him while using Ember.

Metapod was pulled forward and then hit by the smal lFireballs. It fell to the ground and fainted
Chimchar gained some EXP

"Alright, Kakuna" Called Jerry and he released another Cacoon Pokemon
"Use Harden" Kakuna hardened it's shell like Metapod to increase it's Defence

"You didn't even got hurt. Great. Ember."

Chimchar stomped it foot and used Ember!

Kakuna took damage but stood it's ground
"Poison Sting" Kakuna began to shoot Poison Barbs at Chimchar

Chimchar was hit by the Poison Sting.

"Hmph! Ember!"

Chimchar inhaled deeply and used Ember!

Kakuna took damage again
"Poison Sting" Kakuna continued to shoot Poison Barbs at Chimchar

"Chimchar, use your acrobatic skills to dodge while using Ember."

Chimchar flipped, tumbled, jumped, spinned while throwing releasing small fireballs out of it's mouth.

Kakuna continued to take damage
"String Shot" Kakuna Fired the Same Sticky String at Chimchar

"Grab, pull while using Ember."

Chimchar grabbed the string and pulled Kakuna while using Ember.

Kakuna was Pulled but it managed to hop over the Fireballs. It then broke the String Chimchar held then fired another into a nearby Tree and lifted itself up so it was hanging from the String

"Trying to pull a trick? Use Ember on the tree."

Chimchar smiled and used Ember on the tree.

Before the Flames reacched Kakuna, it began to swing forwards and backwards. When it reached a Good Speed it Broke the String and flew at Chimchar
"Use tackle" Called Jerry, which is exactly what Kakuna did, it attempted to use the speed it gathered to increase the Power

Chimchar was hurt badly but he managed to hold on to Kakuna.

"Great Chimchar! Throw Kakuna away and then use Ember!"

Before they landed, Chimchar threw Kakuna away and used Ember. Chimchar landed.

Kakuna was hit by the Fireballs again and Fainted
Chimchar Gained some EXP

"Aww..we lost" said Jerry as he recalled Kakuna "It was a good battle, even though you dominated"

"Nice one. I hope we meet again. Bye and thanks." said Rai while his eyes slowly turn back to being black.

"Chim chim chimmy char." said Chimchar.

"What? You can't wait for a Gym Battle? Okay. I guess we can hang on your Dig Attack against Rock Types." said Rai.

So they went to the Pewter Gym.

They went inside and it was so dark but Chimchar's flame on its tail served like a candle.

"Hello-o? Anybody-dy here-ee?" said Rai with his voice echoing inside.

The Lights sudeny Turned on. Most of the Floor in this room was covered in a Battlefield of Rocks and Dirt. At the other side stood a Boy
"Are you here to Challenge Brock the Gym Leader?" he asked

"Yes I am. Is he here? You're a Gym Trainer, so I need to battle you, right?" said Rai.

Chimchar juggles 3 fireballs as a past time.
