Eventually Rosa finally found what she was looking for, a Pokemon. The girl felt as if her heart was about to beat out of her chest when she gaze landed on it, taking in its every detail. The flame on its tail, blazing under the hot noonday sun. The fur that covered it, a ruddy shade of orange-red. The swirl on its head, similar to the kind you might find on a soft-serve ice cream cone.
Taking in a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself the girl took a soft step forward, attempting not to make any noise. The last thing she wanted to do was scare the Pokemon, the Pokemon that might very well be her new companion. After successfully taking the first step and remaining relatively silent her bravery began to grow, she could do this.
Rosa took another cautious step forward, scanning the ground for any twigs before she set her foot down. This process was repeated until she stood about two yards away, six feet. Once she reached this distance the ten year old crouched down so she was kneeling on the ground. However, she failed to search the ground before she sat down and was greeting by a snap, the sound of a twig breaking. This caused a hitch in her breath, panic was beginning to set in.
