Lost in a storm (open)

Cynder pulled Shinx closer to her, then tightened her jacket. "S-sure is cold, huh?" she shivered, coughing a few times. She looked around through the snow, and saw nothing but the dark shapes of trees. "I think we're lost." she muttered, her hair whipping around behind her

A gigantic, dark shape started to emerge from the gloom of the snowstorm. As it got closer, three other shapes appeared alongside it, running chaotically around the feet of the first shape. Finally, the shapes were only feet from Cynder, and by it was obvious that they were a man and three Cubchoo. The man was wearing an enormously plump parka, and snow pants that made his legs look like tree trunks.
"She-oot," he said, coming to a halt and looking Cynder up and down, "you look a trifle lost." The three Cubchoo stopped their frantic game and stared up at Cynder, as if hypnotized by her.
Without even waiting for a reply, the man said, "The name's Willy. I'm an icicle farmer from up in U-nee-vur. Need a lift?" he asked, pulling an Ultra Ball out of his pocket and priming it to let out the Pokemon within.

Cynder looked up at him, and Shinx cooed in wonder. "That...that'd be great. Thank you."

Willy threw the Poke Ball to the ground and a Beartic came out, yawning as if it had been napping in its Poke Ball.
"This is Nanook," supplied Willy. Nanook got down on all fours and turned to look at Cynder expectantly.
"Well, what're you waiting for? Climb on up," Willy said to Cynder, patting Nanook's side affectionately.

Cynder blinked and looked at Shinx the same time he looked at her, then smiled at him and climbed up behind him. "Thank you," she said, scratching Shinx's head and smiling at Willy

Willy turned and began walking in the direction from which he'd appeared. Nanook sauntered after him. The three Cubchoo from before were now running and playing around Nanook's legs with a multitude of "Cub!"s and "Choo!"s. He looked mildly annoyed, but mildly amused at the same time.
"Never did git yer name," said Willy, turning around and walking backwards so that he could speak face-to-face with Cynder.

Cynder smiled. "Cynder. And my partner, Shinx."

"Shinx!" He growled, batting at Nanook's back lightly.
