Personality: Kenichi is a reserved kind of kid. He doesn't like crowds and doesn't like to be the center of attention. Kenichi is also afraid of the Pokémon Gyarados and Aggron, especially Charizard. Kenichi had a bad experience with his father's Charizard when he was little. Ken has no friends and was picked on when he was little. He can be afraid to get in conflicts, except for Pokémon battles. He has never had a girlfriend and is especially shy around girls.

If you ever get the chance to become friends with Kenichi, then he will open up. Ken is a good guy, and can be perverted. He can be very passionate and sweet. He will do anything to help those close to him and will always be the first into action if someone is in danger. He seems weak and scared, but when he is in a Pokémon battle, he seems like a different person than his usual self. He thinks on his feet and is very observant. He can be one of the best friends anyone could have, for he is completely loyal. He has alot of potential as a trainer.

History: When Kenichi was little, his father had come home one day with his Charizard. Charizard had been a really mean Pokémon that his father was trying to straighten out. Kenichi had tried to climb on Charizard one day and Charizard got angry. Charizard soared up into the sky and then dropped Kenichi. Kenichi fell and screamed, but suddenly he wasn't falling. He opened his eyes and looked down to see a wild Staraptor carrying him down slowly to his house. Staraptor had been a close friend to Kenichi ever since. Staraptor allowed his mother to capture him so Staraptor could always stay with him. Before Kenichi went out on his journey, Staraptor had died, but not before having an egg, which is currently in his mother's possession.

Kenichi's father had barely been home when Kenichi was growing up, he was always going out on a journey. Now his father helped out on the Police Force and his mother held a Pokémon Daycare as a breeder. Kenichi would help out around the Daycare with Staraptor and his mother. He has seen many different types of Pokémon, but one day, he wanted his own. He wanted to meet others, and befriend his own Pokémon. So he decided he would set out on a journey. He had lived out with just his family, noone else anywhere close. He had been home schooled and so never had any friends. He doesn't feel comfortable around other people and so is hard to befriend and is very shy. He often spent his time where he was most comfortable, with Pokémon.
