Awakening Anew[Open to all]

Rattata's ears twitched, then it bounded up, flipping around to face Chez and Squirtle. It raised its back, slightly like a cat to make itself appear larger. It made a barking-like sound at Squirtle as a warning.

Good, a challenge, this Rattata was challenging him, and Chez was accepting. Confidently yelling a command, Squirtle responded by opening his mouth to release a flurry of bubbles at the Rattata, as a test to see how strong it was. If he judged it worthy, he would catch it, if not, he would be on his way. He was feeling very optimistic, so the first choice was probably more prefered.

As the bubbles were rather slow, and Rattata quite the opposite, it quickly dashed to the side, avoiding the bubbles altogether. It glared at the blue turtle-squirrel Pokemon, rearing back. Suddenly, it took off quickly, nearly vanishing from site as it ran at high speed toward Squirtle, charging at it with its Quick Attack!

Squirtle wasn't fast enough to dodge, and was hit in the side before it knew Rattata was there. Chez was definately going to catch this one. Squirtle regained his footing a glared angrily at Rattata.

"Squirtle, hit it with water gun!" The enthusiastic trainer yelled, and the anxious Pokemon responded, by blasting a jet of water from it's mouth at the small, quick target.

The blast came directly at Rattata, who was simply too close to dodge. It got blasted, and was sent flying back a few feet. It weakly got back to its feet, taking a good deal of damage from level difference. It barked angrily, then charged at Squirtle again, lightning speed.

Alright! That hit weakened it enough to easily finish it in a blow, but hitting it again was going to be hard. The Rattata was charging at Squirtle, and clashing wasn't the best of ideas all the time.

"Squirtle, jump to the side a bit, and use tackle at an angle!"
"Squirt!"
Squirtle pushed off with his left leg, sending him to the right, and then instantly pushed off with his right leg, hold his shoulder out, so he was on a collision course with Rattata.

The two collided in an all too familiar way, both landing in the dirt from the angle Squirtle had jumped at. As the dust settled, an extremely weakened Rattata was shown, legs trembling and one eye squinting, all bruised and scraped up from the collision. "Ta..." it said weakly, walking toward Squirtle slowly, attempting to butt its head against it as a less than enthusiastic 'tackle' attack.

Squirtle got up, the clash wasn't as bad as last time, but he was still about to cry from it. Chez jumped, another victory. Rattata was weakened, so it's time to try catching a Pokemon, he thought. He pulled out an empty pokeball from his bag, and squirtle's, and threw them both, returning Squirtle to his Pokeball and attempting to catch Rattata.

Rattata was hit by the small red and white orb. A flash of light engulfed Rattata, absorbing it into the ball before it fell to the ground. The ball began to rock and shake vigorously, the button flashing a light with each attempt Rattata had at escaping. It rocked once...twice...three times and...*CLICK* The ball sounded off, then lay at rest. Rattata was successfully captured!

Rattata, F, Lv 5. Moves: Tackle, Tail Whip, Quick Attack. Would you like to nickname her?

Chez bent down and picked up the orb, putting it onto his belt. He wondered exactly how many more Pokemon where out there...who would eventually be his own. The thought got him excited, and he continued down the rest of the trail, until he reached a sign that read:

He nearly fainted out of anxiousness, and hurried into the city to heal his Pokemon. When he was about to take his first steps into the city, a man called his name. He turned, and recognized the man as one of Prof. Oak's Scientists.

"*huff, Puff* Chez...*wheeze*...Proffesor Oak wants you to take these...*Huff*"
The scientist placed down a box, and pulled out three tightly-sealed capsules. Inside the capsules where three large eggs-One red and Orange, one purple and slihtly blue, the other vibrant yellow.

"What are these?"
The man cought his breath again.
"There Pokemon eggs. They've been in the back for a while, and they won't hatch, no matter how much time we put into them. But the Proffesor thinks that you can hatch them..."
Chez was, once again, amazed. He graciously put the capsules safely into his backpack, and waved bye to the man, pondering what the secret of the eggs where....
