NPCs are supporting characters. They can only be in topics with the active character that they support. They can be helpful or hindering, whichever you want.
You can only have 2 NPCs per active character.
Your NPC starts with 1 Pokémon, and can gain 1 more non-legendary for every 2 Pokémon the main character captures. (Up to a total of 6) Any more than a full party, and one of the old Pokémon must be released.
The starting Pokémon of the NPC cannot be a higher level than that of your main character's highest level. New Pokémon to join the party cannot be higher level than that of the second weakest Pokémon on your main character's team (at the time of gaining the new Pokémon for the npc).
For every 5-10 levels your character's Pokémon gain, you can request your NPC to be updated to reflect the achievements in their own levels. You must also request a mod to update when you want a Pokémon added to your NPC and have met the criteria above.
