First steps to greatness

Alexis sat cross-legged on the grass outside of her home. She looked around at the views that she knew she would not see again for a while. Luna was lying at her feet, her head resting on the girls knee. They both knew that today marked the beginning of the greatest adventure of their life. The girl had dreamt of this moment for years, all that time watching other people on television, living the dream that she had always wanted- now it was finally her turn.
"I can't believe this day has finally arrived, how about you Luna?" as the girl spoke her stroked the top of her pokemon's head. The absol seemed to smile as she nuzzled the girl's hand. They both looked up at the sky and smiled. She had already said goodbye to her sister who gave her a lecture on how to look after her self while she was away from home. Now the duo knew they were ready...ready to go out and explore the world that lay at their fingertips.

Even though the homeland of this trainer was the new region, Decolore Islands, Steven walks around in the forest nearby to Alexis and the absol named Luna. "Aron!" Yelled out by a Pokemon near him, but if no one knew of the boys presence, they'll just think its a wild Pokemon on its own.

Alexis stood up and patted Luna on the head.
"Ok, I think it's time that we headed off, don't you think" The girl spoke with a smile on her face as she headed towards the forest near the village, once she reached that forest she knew that she wasn't going to look back. Luna followed closely behind her trainer, they both happily strolled towards the forest as they wondered what mysteries lay ahead of them.
As they reached the trees they looked around and took in the scenery, out of the corner of her eye Alexis spotted what looked like a flash of metal in the grass. Wondering why there would be anything made of metal in a place like this, she cautiously headed towards it.

The metal patch started to jump around "Aron, Aron!" A sound came from the chunk of bouncing metal "settle down Knight, you getting to excited for nothing" a trainer chuckled "Haunter, haunter haunter..." Said another Pokemon "you could learn learn to have a bit more fun Creeps" he trainer chuckled again

As she approached the metal, Alexis realised that it was a Pokemon. Looking at it she tried to figure out what it was from her parents research. When she couldn't figure it out, she pulled out the Pokedex she was given and read the information on screen.
"Hey look Luna, looks like we found ourselves an Aron."
Getting closer they tried to look around and see if there was anyone to claim this Pokemon as their own.

Immediately, the Aron ran straight at Alexis, but it wasn't looking at her, it was looking behind itself, it seems that it didn't even seem to notice her. Steven sighs "he has gone running again" a Haunter starts floating after the Aron

Absol notices the Aron trying to, what looked like, make an escape, in responce it pounced, landing in from of the small pokemon blocking its path.
"Where are you going little Aron?" Alexis gracefully made her way towards the pokemon, bending down to try and get a better view of it. "Is something wrong?" she asks while trying to see what the Aron was running towards or away from.

Aron stopped and stared at the two, then Haunter stopped above the Aron "Haunter!" Haunter said with a wave and a smile, Aron also smiled and raised a hoof in a hello. Steven ran up behind the two pokemon and looked at the four "Creeps and Knight, and two others... Hm..." He walked in front of the two and raised a hand for a handshake "hey, I'm Steven, and this is Knight and Creeps" he quickly pointed at the other two with his other hand "you are?"

Luna tilts her head to the side for a quick second and then smiles, lowering her head as if to bow at the team in front of her. Alexis smiles and takes the person's hand.
"Hey, my name is Lexi, and this is my absol, Luna." She shakes Steven's hand then lets go, smiling at his two pokemon. "Are you knew around here, I don't think I have ever seen you in this village before"

"I am actually, I kinda just came here to start my adventures, maybe I could find more steel and ghost type Pokemon's then at decolore, and usually people start their adventures at home, I chose differently" he smiled "so Lexi, as you said you have never seen me around this village before, are you just starting out as well?" He asked

After listening closely to Steven Alexis nods a little.
"I sure am, Me and Luna have been friends for a while, but we are setting out to try and help our parents. So we are going out to try and become great trainers." While the girl was talking Luna stood proudly and smiles a little.

Steven chuckled a little "one things for sure is that a great trainer isn't so great without some training" he said, but he seen the sky, it has became noon pretty quickly "wow, I never knew time actually flew by quickly with fun, I guess a little Pokemon wouldn't hurt, I want to see how your battle skills are" Steven made a quick whistling noise to get a random Pokemon's attention "wild Pokemon fight time" Steven leaned against a tree and awaited for a Pokemon for Lexi to fight appear

After watching Steven fail to call a wild Pokemon both Alexis and Luna seemed to laugh a little. Alexis stroked the top of her Absol's head. She looked up at the boy with his Pokemon in front of her.
"yeah, I know battling wild Pokemon would be a good way to train, but i haven't actually had a proper fight yet with my dear Luna" as she says that she looks st the ground a little embarrased at how weak a trainer she might actually be"

Suddenly, a patch of grass near Luna rustled, and out of it came a pink, cream, and yellow colored deer Pokemon that stared at them curiously.

"Deerling?" it called out.

A wild Lvl 10 Male Deerling appeared!

Luna snarls at the new Pokemon that had appeared in front of her. Alexis quickly turned and stood up straight, readying her self to give commands.
"hey looks like its your time to shine. Use Leer!" As she says it her Pokemon readies her attack in order to lower the Deerling's defences."

Deerling shuddered as his defense was lowered before charging at Luna before swiftly turning and kicking out with his hind legs in any attempt to hit her with a Double Kick.

"Luna you know what to do" Alexis smiled a little and her Absol seemed to nod in approval as it took the hit from the Deerling. As a response Luna jumps back and attempts to use Hone claws which would enable herself to attack harder and more accurately.

As Luna used Hone Claws, Deerling kicked up sand, attempting a Sand Attack before charging at Luna once more with a Takle this time.

"Come on Luna, you can't take this attack aswell. You can dodge it." As her owner spoke Luna jumped to the side, avoiding the attack by an inch or two. whilst doing so she turned around and ran at the Deerling. "Its time for Quick Attack" The Absol sped up, charging at the Deerling with Quick Attack trying to hit it dead on.

Deerling cried out as he was hit, but he wasn't done yet. He  used Tackle again, but he used Growl as he charged at Luna.

Luna flinched slightly from the growl which caused her to get hit by the tackle.
"Luna you are doing great, don't let it put you off guard." Hearing encouragement from her owner seemed to give Luna a new wind, she stood backup proudly and goes in for another quick attack, the Absol looked extremely determined and knew that it couldn't give up

The attack hit, causing him to collapse. If.Alexis planned to catch him now would be the time. If not, then one more hit would end the battle....

As Alexis looked at the severely injured Pokemon she debated the whether to end it or not. After a short deliberation she smiled and took a few steps closer to it. "that's enough Luna" she said softly as she pulled a pokeball out of her bag and threw it at Deerling hoping to gain a new member to her team.

Steven grinned, they thought he had failed on the pokemon call, but now they are attempting to catch a Deerling. Knight went on his own little adventure behind a tree where a little bush of berries were located, he decided to eat and eat, untill they were all gone. Creeps flew over to the Aron, picked it up, and brung it back to Steven, the human and Knight both smiled at each other.

Alexis smiles as she realised that she now has a new member of her team, picking up the pokeball she looked at it thoughtfully.
"I think I'll call you Bambi" She giggled a little as she spoke, letting the newly caught Deerling out of it's pokeball. Luna approached her new team mate cautiously before bowing her head slightly at him.
