Avery is a rather tall and slender individual, standing at about 5' 10''. Having brown eyes and very long brown hair that reaches the middle of his back. He wears a horizontal striped jacket with the color pattern of Yellow and Black.  He also wears common jeans, and shoes to match his jacket. Carrying a green Backpack, he as well wears blue goggles on his head, as it was a gift from his sister.


Personality: Avery tends to be on the quick side of things, trying to make haste to get to a certain goal in mind. He has problems trying to slow down and look at things from a different angle. He loves to be in the spotlight, trying to entertain as much people as possible. He also enjoys music, dancing or even singing to the song he listens to, his favorite genres is Funk and Jazz. He doesn't like Ghost-type pokémon for various reasons, some he'd rather not say due to past events. He can also overreact to heated conversations or battles, this often leads to him taking things very seriously.

Battle Style: He comes up with a style on the fly, trying to come up with the best way to take down his opponents. But, he always uses a bit of style with his battles, so they are always flashy in some sense. But he is also smart when he uses those moves, as they are usually leading to some kind of plan in the future.

Past Experience / History: Avery was born into the Suzuki Family that lived on Mt. Coronet. He has a big sister named Crystal, who loves Ice-Type Pokémon. Because his father, Kurzama, is a Ghost-type Pokémon researcher, Avery has had many playmates that visited often. But his father is also very cautious of his son's safety, and often doesn't want him to go outside to hurt himself.

One day, while still a baby, Avery had received a gift from a now retired Steel-type gym leader named Nikolai, who was an old friend of Kurzama when they were just kids. It was an Egg, and from the Egg hatched a Rilou. He was named Enoch, and he and Avery were raised like brothers, often being taught by Kurzama through Videophone when he had time. They couldn't afford teachings, as most of the money was being used for the home and supplies.

As the years went by and Avery grew older and was 7, his mother, Castie, grew incredibly ill. Avery had been by her side with every passing moment, trying to help her as much as he can as Kurzama would be working 24/7 and Crystal had just started her Pokémon journey away from home, though a bit late as she was just 16 at the time. Castie was a Pokémon breeder, and would tell Avery all about how Pokémon would do amazing things, from using their brute strength to move mountains, or their beauty to captivate others, sometimes saving them from disaster.

However, as a blossom from a cherry tree would fall, the illness took Castie's life. And because Avery was always nearby, he was the first to find out. He was scared, he didn't want to accept it, but it was the truth.

After the tragic event that upholded, Enoch had been comforting him as much as he could. Kurzama had decided to take a scheduled work time, to have some time with his son as much as he could. Enoch evolved during this time into a Lucario, and kept the family safe from any dangerous Pokémon around Mt. Coronet that would come close to the house.

A year passed and Avery had gotten over the fact that his mother had passed away, but two mischievous Ghost-types would have a nasty prank, a Mismagius and Haunter. They made the illusion of Castie being alive again, with the same voice and movements. Avery couldn't believe this, that his mother was here, and his eyes swelled up with tears. However, pranks are meant to be pulled, and the illusion was pulled off to reveal the two ghost-types. Once Avery saw this, he cursed the ghosts, yelling at them and chasing them from the house. Kurzama had gotten home and settled Avery down, but now, Avery has a hatred for ghost-types, almost a fear.

We come to the present, where Avery had finally gotten permission from his father to go on his journey. With all that he has planned, he wants to compete in contests that his mother showed him, but as well as see the challenge of the gyms and see the champion that he's heard so much about. He wants to get out there, so that he can show off his skills that he'll learn on his brand new journey.

Personality: Reneguard is a very proud penguin, and shows much class because of it. He often puts first glances as his imput on people and pokémon alike. He doesn't like to be helped, and certainly shows anger when he has to say it twice. he has a good heart, but it is often overlooked due to how snobby he is at times.
Moves: Pound, Growl, Bubble, Aqua Ring, and Scald.

From the top, then. Starting with Appearances, though it says a minimum of one paragraph, a complete description is hardly ever contained in such. Could you please expand more on looks? Try to focus on him, rather than his clothes. Body type, facial structure, and noticeable scars, etc. are all good ways to expand.

Personality is a bit small and confined as is. I feel like half the entire description was for just one aspect. Could you please expand, and try to include more sides to him? Most people are more than one dimensional, or even more than just two aspects. Try to paint a picture of who they are in all situations. How does he like attention since he's shy? In the form of praise? How was he scholastically speaking - remember, intellect and interests are a part of personality. What motivates him, his driving force? Please paint a more in depth picture. Remember that having a developed personality does not mean it can't develop more over time.

History seems a bit rushed, especially near the end. What happened between the ghastly encounter, and him leaving for his adventure? What drove him to suddenly decide to begin, he is after all not the normal starting age for trainers. How about school life? Was he home schooled, or what? How did events in his past lead him to where he is now as far as personality is concerned? Just some things you could please add in.

I know you plan to get Piplup in RP. However, if you want your starting Pokémon is allowed to have a TM and EM to start with. It's suggested since you can't usually gain EM's later in RP, but that's your choice.
